Not giving a 72 hour notice got people in trouble last year. Whatever issues these guys had they deserved at least the bare minimum notice so they don’t get left high and dry all of a sudden. Congratulations to Carthage and Aurora on their successes. While as a Roman it pleases me to see Carthage off the map KeK, they were an old alliance and very respected and it saddens me to see Carthage go. The same can be true for Aurora at least for me. Despite our issues last year Aurora did so much for Rome the year before hand and I always enjoyed working with @ToxicPepperand @Xi Jinpingand AlexW during the time we were their prot when Aurora was in Clock and then when Aurora upgraded us into Midgard. Congratulations to everyone involved and @Krampusand all the govs of both groups coming together to create something new and enjoyable. When you have members handing out OPSEC like it’s candy, without any solicitation by myself or anyone else in Royal Orbis News, it seems to me like that’s not a RON problem, that’s a Singularity problem. Sure, after Singularity decided sending threats in DMs after RON leaked the merge was the proper way to go about things, my opinion of the alliance wasn’t exactly through the roof, but everything that’s been posted in the leaks and rumors channel has been relevant information, not “menial logs”. 

 

As for leaking being a “hostile act” - when someone knocks a hole in your boat, you don’t shoot the sea for sinking the ship. You shoot the guy who put the hole in the ship. When the someone in an alliance is freely providing OPSEC information, or, sorry, “menial logs”, it seems to me that the goal should be kicking that player. RON could stop taking those leaks today and another server or group would have them tomorrow.

 

It’s not an easy road, as has been demonstrated, trying to play the game with a different strategy than simply hugging a larger alliance, but House Stark remains confident in her capabilities to play the way we feel we should.

I have stated this once before on the Singularity DoW post but Lysander himself has never done anything to be dishonorable while conducting himself as part of a high government structure. He is a man who does not harm anyone or any alliance.

As someone with deep experiences dealing with fake news stories that are baseless fabrications with no on the record interviews, no photos, no transparency in the reporting related to BoO during the first month of the year I can say that I know how Singularity is feeling in regards to media coverage in Orbis. Many reporters have no knowledge of basic writing principles or even the fact finding mission that is supposed to make up the mindset of members of the press. While I have plans to fully debunk and derail the remnants of the BoO Myths this year I also would be remiss if I did not mention the one person in this entire game outside of my alliance who came to my defense and worked as my Defense Attorney and asked for my side of the story and my evidence when almost NOBODY else even cared for what was right or what was true. A lot of people got hurt badly from all the lies and hatred being sent at them based on media stories and the only person who wanted to help was Lysander. Lysander and I have a checkered relationship over the years. We have never been enemies but have never been close. He got most of the sham charges against me dropped during my Thalmor trial and without him who knows. I have nothing bad I can say about Lysander because he has done more for me then 99% of the game community ever has. 

 

I hope that both sides can come together and reach a settlement but I can understand exactly how both sides might feel.
