Under these scenarios, the offerer would always be getting the amount of money they set, and the price on the label would either increase when the acceptor is buying, or decrease when the acceptor is selling.
It should be noted that an export tariff from `A` to `B` of 100% would make `B`'s offer to buy food appear as $0/ton, while `A`'s offer to sell food appear as $202/ton. Even though the food is travelling in the same direction (from A to B), the cost changes simply because of who is accepting, even when it is listed at the same price.
Almost, nothing C does would ever get any effect which is right, but in your example the buy offers are wrong though. In all cases the price would go up by 10% for an A<->B transaction, with that extra 10% going to the bank. In the buy offer cases you listed the display as $90. In both buy offer cases, the offerer gets exactly what they asked for, it's the accepter that sees a price 10% higher that's going to the AA bank.

It's cool to see updates, though why the simplification and streamline of the revenues page? It was nice being able to see how many resources were being consumed or produced along with the production modifiers for food being easily accessible to view. I have my own add-on as well that would show the money income and expense differences for resources (not as accurate due to market prices changing but was good for estimating things).
We're going to take a look at adding some more fun stuff! This is just the initial revision of the page. As well, the modifier icons for food have been added back, those were an oversight on our part.

Hey everyone, this month brought a lot of changes in the Politics and War development space, for starters I’ve come back to work on the game again, having gotten school under control. More importantly though, we now have a development team, with @Putmir Vladin and @Unlimited joining the team as Community Developers! Thanks to their amazing help, I’m excited to announce that we’re finally able to deliver monthly updates, with this post being the culmination of all the work we’ve been able to do in March after completing onboarding!
Updates
Espionage Rewrite
Two things were missing when I completed the wars rewrite last summer, an espionage rewrite and a battle simulator rewrite. This month, espionage has been completely rewritten and next month we’re tackling the battle simulator!
No mechanical changes to espionage were done as part of this rewrite, however the project changes below will have some effect.
New Projects
Two new projects have been added to the game, Guiding Satellite and Nuclear Launch Facility! More information about them can be found in the Game Development Discussion post here https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/topic/36867-game-development-discussion-update-feedback/.
Note: We are aware of the lack of project pictures, Alex has been very busy and we’re waiting for him to get images, personally I’d rather have new projects without pictures than delay content for an image.
Revenue Rewrite
To improve performance and development productivity, we’ve also redone the revenue backend and frontend this month!
However, we need your help! Revenue is a very large segment of code, and it’s edge cases are not easily tested on the test server like when working with wars. To that end, the new revenue page is being deployed live now, however the code running and turn change has not changed. We kindly ask that you take a look at your new revenue page (https://politicsandwar.com/nation/revenue) and the old revenue page (made available temporarily here https://politicsandwar.com/index.php?id=230) and open a ticket on the PnW Discord server with pictures of both if you notice any differences that amount to a difference of more than $10. There will be small changes in money and food due to some rounding optimizations.
Once we’ve verified that the new system is correctly calculating revenue, we will release the new backend (which should significantly improve turn and day change times!).
Project Updates
A number of projects got new pricing or were rebalanced, the entire list can be found in the forum post here https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/topic/36611-game-development-discussion-project-commerce-update-proposal/. Of note however is that for the moment only the mechanical changes to Activity Center, Spy Satellite, and Surveillance Network are available on the live server. Since the remaining projects effect revenue, we are delaying there release until we have verified the new revenue backend functions correctly. Expect these to be released in a week or two once we’ve worked out any kinks in the new system!
Map Calibrator Disabled
I have disabled the automatic MAP calibrator on war pages, this seems to be the culprit of the insane quantities of deadlock errors encountered during the opening round of globals. If you notice any discrepancies with your MAPs or any other aspect of wars please open a ticket on the PnW Discord server so I can look into why.
Color Bloc Bonus Increase
The color bloc bonus cap has been increased from $75,000 to $125,000, correspondingly the beige turn bonus has been increased from $50,000 to $85,000.
Miscellaneous Changes
- You are no longer able to spy on alliances with which you are allied.
- The city page now has a button to directly copy the city’s build without having to go to the export page.
- The trade cap has been increased to allow trades of up to a hundred million units.
- The max bulletin length has been increased to 25,000 characters.
- An icon will now show on the trade page on trades with members of your own alliance.

The war ranges typo should be fixed up, as for the display issue I believe it'll persist until you go to the next tutorial step, then should be all good to go.

It looks like that stat includes aluminum recovered using military salvage, so in that case the net aluminum used is actually -58 because 58 aluminum has been recovered.

I've got no idea what's going on with anything else, and honestly have no idea what any of the new achievement images are, I just sent Alex the list and he sorted out pictures with the template he's got and whatever royalty free pictures he's got.

Achievements were made a core part of the game and one that's going to continue to be expanded, at the moment policies are not. Maybe in the future they'll get redone and split out into different sections, but I don't see any reason right now to redo the associated pages and code to have two separate pages.

I'll consider it for the future, right now we've generally standardized in-game with leader names as the primary option and I don't entirely want to break that at the moment.

I might add a toggle for it, but in general it's meant to make it easier to see who's actually declaring war on you and your applicants, not just on your members.

Hey, could you try linking your PnW account to your forum account? That should auto-update your name for you so it'll work correctly. The simplest way to do it is make sure both accounts are using the same email address, then log into the forums using your regular PnW email and password.

Hiya everyone! Thank you all so much for sticking with me through debugging war issues and getting the last stuff deployed, for the past few weeks everything has been sorted out and we’ve been hard at work putting up design team forum posts and implementing new features!

Updates
New Forum Login
You can now log into the forums with your Politics and War account! Simply use the same email and password you use to log into the game on the forum website and it’ll automatically create your account and log you in! Please note that if you have an existing forum account make sure both accounts (existing forum account and PnW account) are using the same email address so that they can be properly linked when logging in. At the moment normal forum logins will continue to work, however in the next few weeks we may disable normal forum account creation to fully transition over and help combat spam bots. If you have any issues linking your two accounts, please open a ticket in the Discord and I’ll be happy to help you out.
New Tutorial
The game’s tutorial has been completely rewritten and re-implemented, I’d like to give a massive shoutout and thank you to the members of the tutorial team, you can find them all listed on the initial post (https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/topic/33731-game-developement-new-player-tutorial/#comment-522831). If you encounter any issues with the tutorial please let me know!
Achievement Rework
Achievements in-game have been completely reworked to include rewards, public statistics, new achievements, and more! For relevant discussion see the post here (https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/topic/36151-game-development-assistance-achievements/). Happy achievement hunting!

P.P.S. For those of you that already have some achievements your rewards have been added to your nation (or your escrow, which will empty when you are no longer blockaded).
Push Notifications
The game finally has a (initial) implementation of mobile and desktop push notifications! If you head into your account settings (https://politicsandwar.com/account/) you can configure a few initial notification settings! Over the next few weeks/months we’ll be adding more notifications for various things, we’re starting with a small initial implementation to make sure it’s feasible at the game’s scale before going crazy with it.
No City Timers Until City 20
Woohoo! City timers until city 20 have been removed to enable a smoother transition for newer players (more information in the forum post here https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/topic/36141-game-development-discussion-expanded-updeclare-range-and-expanded-city-timer-grace-period/).
Expanded Declare Ranges
The war declaration ranges have been changed from 75%-175% of your score up to 75%-250% of your score, please note the deployment of this change has been delayed due to the outbreak of war this morning. The intent of this change is to provide greater power to smaller nations and enable them to hit larger nations who could otherwise build out of range of their opponents. Required Deposit Note
Alliances now have the option to require a note when depositing into the alliance bank. This setting can be enabled from the edit alliance page and will likely expand further to include pre-fill templates and default options at some point in the future.
Bounty Messages
Bounties are now able to have a message attached to them that will display on the bounties page.
Max PPU Trade Limit
To help prevent predatory trades and some level of mistrades, you are no longer able to post global buy or sell offers for more than $10,000 PPU or 2x the average trade price for the specific resource (whichever is higher).
Roadmap
Moving forward, I have some exciting things to share about upcoming features! Over the past two weeks we’ve announced a number of new features for the game, namely tariffs (https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/topic/36165-game-development-discussion-tariffs) and perks (https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/topic/36176-game-development-discussion-perks/), we’ve also got lots of amazing new things planned over the coming next few months!
The goal is to have tariffs and the initial slate of perks ready in the coming few weeks as the September update, then every week thereafter release smaller content updates containing a few page overhauls, a few perks, and some other quality of life changes. Stay tuned to the forums to hear more!

These rough ideas are actually on my long term roadmap already as stuff to do! We'd absolutely love to make moon and mars landing important, it's just a very very large endeavor and requires a lot of thought and planning so won't happen for a while.

Interesting thought, the game doesn't track what improvements are idle or not, just general stats about the city. Maybe this'll happen in a future improvements rework though.

That's my bad yeah. I hate trying to logic out all the price stuff with buy and sell and offerer and acceptor and everything. The sell offer examples you listed would be right,
