We don't need to continue the global war, we've already singlehandedly zeroed everyone's infra and all of our enemies deleted in shame. There's nobody even left to fight.

I think this is a really good point that rarely gets mentioned!

PnW is all about the community. Without the people, the game is boring af especially during peacetime, which is the vast majority of the time. Even wartime isn't that fun either tbh.

Through baseball, I got to know many friends from other alliances. It is a unique mechanic that adds another layer of player interactions in the game, bringing together a bunch of decidated players who don't mind the hassle to earn a few extra million a day (The "normal" figure is probably around $3.5M-$4M, $8M a day is for no-lifers like me. Some data from @Prefontaine would be nice)

I've even exchanged a few million $ of tips with a carthago nation that I was arranging beige cycles for :). lol

And cheaters are a no no. Yall, the script does not automate baseball, it just allows us to play 1 game a click which is allowed, and necessary due to how bad the baseball UI itself is. @Mayor

This is a good point as well, it gets a lot of people from different alliances interacting with eachother.

If devs are insistent on nerfing baseball, I think a decent compromise would be capping both home and away games at 250 while also making aways more profitable. That way people are still incentivized to play them and it's possible to make around 5 mil a day from baseball, but no longer possible for anyone to play all day and get 10 million. Ultimately I don't think a few people making 8 to 10 million a day off baseball is a serious enough problem to warrant alienating so many people, most of whom play as intended and use it for a bit of extra cash the same way as rewarded ads.

Actually You are allowed to automate ads with scripts.

Yes I know, the script does not work for me. It gives me a warning that says something like "out of sync with what the server is reporting" and forces me to refresh after each ad. The timer also takes far more than 180 seconds if I try to go to a different tab, sometimes I'll go back in a couple minutes and the timer has barely moved.

They use bots and leave their comp afk, that's not really advantageous to new players who don't have bots but instead helps only well connected players in established alliances.

I've been doing baseball instead of ads because it's slightly quicker and the ad timer doesn't work properly for me. I definitely don't support people who use autoclickers and bots to cheat, and no doubt there are some people who do, I just don't think a few people getting 8 mil a day by either cheating or spending hours clicking a button is a good reason to get rid of a fairly minor source of additional income for the majority of folks who follow the rules and spend maybe 15 mins a day to get a few million.

  5. 4 or 5 million a day is nothing to a larger nation, and it's quite a bit for a c15, so this is going to disadvantage smaller players even more. Key has a good suggestion about putting a cap on away games to stop people who could be using autoclickers to play baseball all day. But honestly if someone is willing to no-life this game so much that they'll sit and click a button for 4 hours a day, who cares? Is it also unfair that some people aren't willing to take the time to find good raid targets or set beige timers and thus make less money than people who do? More time and effort = more money in this game, I don't see anything wrong with that.

  6. I hear you, but there are always going to be issues with trying to change the score ranges. Anything that decreases the ability of a low military, low infra nation to downdeclare is going to hurt anyone trying to raid above a certain city count. And I don't actually see many major downdeclares like the ones you're describing happen on a very regular basis. I could drop all my military and infra and hit a c15 if I wanted to, but unless that guy has several hundred million to loot it's too time consuming and costs too much to be a viable option. Aside from some dedicated raiders I don't see that ever being commonplace.

My suggestion is to lessen the weight your military has within your score, and increase the weight of cities significantly to compensate.

I think this would actually increase the score of a zeroed target relative to someone with max military, sorta the opposite of what the recent score change did. There's always gonna be a caveat.

Equally importantly, there needs to be a tighter up-declare cap as well to prevent this system from being abused to all high hell. It doesn't have to be much, just enough to make sure that if you're fighting someone, their allies with another city or two can still counter and punish. Concerns about a bunch of c15s hitting a single c30 and the other c30s being unable to lift a finger are entirely valid if the c15s are skilled.

Hot take but I support getting rid of updeclare limits. If you're a c30 who can't fend off a few c15s you need to git gud, I don't care if you were on 0250, just get air superiority and double buy and you should be able to handle it. If the c30 was sitting without max planes that's their problem. If a horde of c10s wants to try to fight Grumpy they're dumb as shit but hell, let em.

Hold the !@#$ up real quick, divine fricking phoenix is merging with CotL 2.0? I've been awoken from my fricking slumber to hear that the alliance that accepted 400-500 fricking applicants for the memes and shit has merged with another as equally shitty Alliance. Is that why you're merging is because you both have the most shittiest of respect in this shithole you call politics and fricking war? What the !@#$ you disgraceful piece of human shit @JadenStar10 choosing to lead this Alliance into the fricking ground. As heir of ayyslamic Caliphate, I personally renounce my respect from Jaden and proclaim him a enemy to the state.

There's not enough grass in this world for you to touch if you're actually this enraged about a merger in a browser sim.

Bloated Micro joins Cata, noice. Good luck Cata!

I know little about DP members or their competence or lack thereof so don't take this as a comment on them specifically.  But what most "incompetent" micros lack is effective leadership and organization. It isn't like CATA members are just an elite breed of supergeniuses who came out of the womb with a PhD in theoretical physics, I only fight well because I was taught by people who knew how to play the game right not because I'm better or smarter. This game isn't that hard and there's really not that much of a learning curve. The only thing most "incompetent" members lack is proper guidance, as long as they're active and eager I'm certain that 90% of PnW members with an IQ greater than their shoe size can follow instructions from gov. Also--low tiers suck no matter what alliance you're in. They're either down there because they're new and need more time to learn, they want to be there, they're in an alliance that doesn't know how to allocate funds efficiently/doesn't care about them, or because they're so dumb nobody would rightfully give them anything. But I think it's a minority in the latter category.  What I'm saying is, I'm not concerned. If they're already good that's great--and if they're not then make them good.

    maybe I'm misremembering bio class
    Parasite
an organism that lives in or on an organism of another species (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense.

but seems to me, a virus is not an organism (not a cell, or cells), it is not alive, and arguably does not derive nutrients (a virus reproduces by hijacking a cell, which is external).

CDC - Parasites - About Parasites

anyway, off topic, so... schrute bad, wtf = loot pinata

Ehh, this is more or less just a semantics argument. Viruses are by definition obligate intracellular parasites, many types of bacteria are also parasitic in their life cycle, but viruses and bacteria are generally excluded from the definition of parasitic diseases which only includes multicellular organisms or single celled eukaryotes like protozoans.

Anyway, enough with the nerd shit, I'm just ready to burn other people's pixels.

  10. Unfortunately for you I live 5000km away from my family and can't afford a plane ticket this year, so getting blitzed out of my gourd and rolling people is how I'm celebrating Christmas. So no, absolutely not.

  11. I'm pretty sure these accounts are multis.

    fugerstand (politicsandwar.com)

    gonger (politicsandwar.com)

    YAMUM (politicsandwar.com)

    Yo Mama (politicsandwar.com)

and probably some of the others.

They both declared war on the same guy with almost the same war reason at the same time, they've both got a bunch of nations on the same ID and they've both got the same sort of horribly misspelled nation descriptions with the same writing style--I feel pretty sure they're the same kid, but check it out for yourselves. I didn't see any questionable trades between them however.

what a chad... ya mum lol

  12. The folks from Error have been teaching us backwards neo-Luddites all about the wonders of technology for the last couple days, I feel like a tribesman from some remote jungle in Papua New Guinea being shown a cell phone for the first time. Now I just need to figure out if there's a bot can make my wife come back to me, please Susan it's been 3 years I just want to see the kids

  13. If you spied Cam but nobody is in RON to hear you brag about it, did you really spy Cam?

But good for him, I can't believe Isjaki singlehandedly won a spy war against a top 10 alliance. Dude's a bigger chad than I realized.
