Minimum wage could be looked at in two different competing lights, one could argue that it was designed by the Corporation to ensure that they didn't have to pay you really any more then what was legally bound to. If a company said you only needed minimum wage...the law supports that. Others can argue that it was designed to ensure that the workers got enough money from said companies to equal their true compensation....nothing worse then doing 9$ worth of work to get paid 3$ for it. Either way minimum wage is a crutch. Logically a Living Wage would make sense. You make a bare minimum to survive on (I will amend my statement of a family of 3 to a family of 2 I'll explain why shortly) this means matching the wages to Standard of Living, which varies State to State which means like the current Minimum wage system it would vary from State to State. If the Standard of Living is 10$ an hour, for a family of 2 then you make minimum wage 10$ an hour. This means a person has enough money to live in an apartment setting with enough funds to pay rent and utilities, as well as food and gas for a vehicle. If both people in this unit are working then the extra funds can be used to buy luxuries or to go from an apartment setting to a small home with the hope of expanding. There is a misconception that if a company pays its employee's more that said company will have to cut workers. This is not true, most companies report 15% to 25% profits per year...this is reported and may not be actual, meaning AFTER they pay all employee's and pay all bills and so on they make that much meaning that if they increase pay they may drop in % of profit but they will not go broke. Furthermore the more you pay a person the more they spend, the more they spend the more money companies make the more they can spend on...well hiring more people OR replacing them with robots so then unemployment goes up and more people need welfare assistance.

Lights Out Lights in San Salvacion went dark yesterday as one of the coal powered power plants went down suddenly from being overloaded. This led to thousands of residents being without power until generators brought in from the capital came in and were plugged into the power grid. The San Salvacion Civil Engineering Corp was deployed to begin working on the creation of a new power plant. This comes after several senior officials within the San Salvacion government complex had sent word to the Capital that the power grid was becoming overloaded with the constant infrastructure expanding and increased citizens. The winter weather has not helped either as heating across the nation are being turned on to cope with the early winter weather. The San Salvacion Civil Defense Force was deployed to set up warming shelters in areas where the power would be out for a longer time. "With the generators and the Engineering Corp building a new power plant we are expecting things to be better then normal once the project is complete," stated Lt. Commander Wilkerson of the Civil Defense Force. Reconstruction leads to economic boom After back to back wars with various aggressive nations the nation of Erusea is in the middle of an economic boom as the Reconstruction has added more infrastructure, jobs, and has led to the development of the coal and iron industry. As it stands the Erusean Government is looking at increasing its Steel production to include 5 Steel Plants at which it will sell on the open market for funding. Coal being another resource that it will use. As the economy has begun to bolster from the warless state of affairs there has also been an increase in crime. The Coal and Iron industries are currently producing more then is being used by the nation and the Erusean Government has been exporting a great deal of its goods overseas and with alliance members. It is expected to continue this trend and increase its abilities over the next few months. With this increase comes fears of an ecological collapse that has some citizens up in arms over the coal and iron industry stating that the "impact to the ecosystem and the air quality could be devastating if not fixed before it becomes a problem." There have been some advocates that are pushing for the development of Uranium Mining in the hopes of one day building Nuclear Reactors to be used to power the nation instead. Others have demanded that other more ecofriendly way of producing power.

...you would be surprised...how common sense is quickly thrown to the wind sometimes.

The New Erussian military has once again been deployed to fight another transgressor. This time a member of the Dutch East India Company has attacked New Erussia under the cause bella of "We don't like you". "This attack proves nothing more then how those who think they have some power are consumed by it and then attack others who have done nothing to them." stated General Willington of the New Erussian 3rd Infantry Division. New Erussia has fought in back to back to back wars which has crippled its ability to continue its economic and social growth. Despite this New Erussia and its allies in the North American Confederation continue to fight on in hopes that maybe the alliance can continue to grow and develop. "We must not surrender, we will fight all that we can, till the last man, women, and child if need be."

I just transferred 20k out of my alliance bank and never got it. It shows that the alliance bank is 20k short but I never got the money.

The war expired. In the end the New Erussian military has declared victory over the enemy.

He is still attempting to fight this war may drag out for a while at this rate

The New Erussian Air force and New Erussian Army gained massive advantages today. Through the assistance of a benefactor, the nation of New Erussia has gained the ability to produce tanks as well as has increased its air power. In doing so we are laying down heavy attacks against the enemy and we believe that the war can be ended sooner rather then later.

Thank you for the support. Update So his ally declared war on me...I struck him with an air strike and he declared peace...so that was a good short war. However Stars and Stripes has attempted to rally his troops and hit me further. I have gained air superiority over him and I have had a successful military ground strike against him. I have offered him peace several times explaining that this war is a drain on resources and people, and he continues to wage war. I hope that in due time I can get him to realize the mistake he has made.

The air force is doing well but we will be needing fuel for our aircraft. As it stands we have almost removed his air superiority. We have damaged his infrastructure and have carried out strikes against his tanks. The war continues.

The recent war with Stars and Saints has led to the civilian Government of New Erussia stepping aside and allowing the Board of Generals to take command and install a military Government for the duration of the war. This has led to the change over of the current agenda being Economic and Resource creation and management to military creation and deployment. The New Erussian military Government has recently finished construction on an airfield and over the next few days will be constructing aircraft to use in strikes against the enemy of the state. It is hoped that in time the air force will be able to destroy the enemy air superiority and knock out the enemy armor and allow ground forces to march into enemy held territory. Currently the New Erussian Military Government is not releasing the details of how many aircraft it is expecting to field nor is it saying when these strikes could occur. The military Government has stated that once this war is over it will return the government back to the civilian government and begin to cut funding from the military to help bolster the economics of the nation.

Tanks are fine and dandy, but the Air Force is the real problem. But that problem will be handled shortly.

I could draw it out as I've been focusing my resources on commerce and resource improvements but I am currently working on more military pursuits.

Earlier today a New Erussian barracks was bombed killing 39 soldiers and putting the nation on high alert. Soon after the nation of Stars and Saints declared war on New Erussia sending an air strike that caused light damage to New Erussian infrastructure. Supreme Commander James Faulkner gave the order to send in ground forces. The initial ground strikes have not went well for the New Erussian Army, but reinforcements have been called up and the nation is looking at more options.

There should be a Living wage to ensure that a basic family of 3 can live comfortably but bot in a manshion or anything

I didn't see a thread on this already, I may of missed it so if I did I apologize. But I was thinking that with an Alliance banking system it would be neat to devise an Alliance Project/Improvement system that would give alliances a boost and it could be made to require a lot of resources and funds like Projects for nations. Just an example would be like: Alliance Assembly Hall: -15% Crime rate in all nations Alliance Environment Center: -20% Pollution in all nations Alliance Space Center: +20% Defense from all military units ect. Just a thought.

This is why a bi party system is so inefficient, there needs to be a valid third party that needs to be voted into office so maybe things can get done. But history has proven that in "most" circumstances that a Republican Government will focus primarily on Foreign Affairs and less on Internal Affairs. Democratic Governments focus more on Internal Affairs and less on Foreign Affairs...however as we have seen recently...the mold has been broken...

I think that there is a way to have a healthy amount of Nationalism without going overboard. But the sad part is that many people don't seem to find that line and instead blow past it and end up being a die hard Nationalist.
