Czar Alexei's speech on the invasion of Khevin.

Breaking News!


Khevin, our closest ally, has been invaded by the treacherous Narvanese people. Such an outrage shall not go unpunished. Even Czar Alexei agrees on this. Here is his speech on the invasion:

 


"People of Chernigov, People of the World, today, a grave mistake has been made by the Empire of Narvan. The Nation has invaded our closest ally, Khevin, in a time in which it deals with a possible civil war. Such an attack has sparked outrage among my colleagues here in Chernigov, and rightfully so. As such, I am ordering the immediate mobilization of the Chernigovan Military. At the same time, I have been granted emergency powers by the Parliament of Chernigov, which is only granted during war or a crisis. I, regretfully, must side with my ally and cousin, Habibullah Sewick. Therefore, I urge for the international community to do the following: Condemn the nation of Narvan for it's actions in this invasion and a call to arms against Narvan, of course. Glory to Khevin! Glory to Chernigov!"

And I quote: " the Empire will send in the Imperial Army to quell any radical groups within Khevinist Africa"

"We now, the Empire of Narvan, must assist Khevin in all and any means necessary, to restore order and prosperity to Khevinist Africa."

"Imperial Army has crossed the Khevin-Narvan border, and have begun setting up various civilian and military camps to provide relief for the region."

 

This is obviously the making of a terrible and violent hostile invasion! Run for your lives from the terrible Narvanese! Well it's fine, you can believe in anything you want to! :D

An invasion is an invasion, you can cloak it behind humanitarian and anti-terrorist reasoning all you like but even a child could see through this facade. SARF insurgency is an internal Khevinist issue and they should be free to deal with them how they wish. If Khevin formally requests foreign military assistance then it would be a different matter. Velika suspects this entire intervention has sinister ulterior motives and Narvan is using the SARF issue to gain a foothold in Khevnist territory.
