Vincent
Seems like the torries would win UK election and this time on its own. Will it be good for UK?

James Gordon
No Britian needs to throw out the Labours and Tories and go for a Third Way view.
FISHGUTS
A very surprising result in terms of the predictions. Personally I'm more than happy, as I voted Conservative, although tbh I'm just glad of a stable result. I'd prefer a Cons or Labour majority over the predicted Chaos. I guess the SNP, wagging the UK, or more so the English dog was a sobering thought for many in terms of the UK as a whole. UKIP clearly helped rather than hindered Conservatives as it seems they took votes from both main parties. Lib Dems were always going to get wiped out as being part of a government meant they couldn't now live in a fantasy land of promises. My predictions for the next term: Cons will scale back Austerity and take longer to balance the books. Tough line the first couple of years and a couple of years of sweeteners for the second half. Scotland will get pretty much full fiscal independance. Cons will want to keep the SNP in power in Scotland as this has given them a majority. SNP will be happy with this as the colapse in oil prices has Fubar'd their economic arguments. Europe will bend the rules, just enough to keep us sweet and "in". Labour will go to the left. Blairism would be good for them, but I can't see a Blairite candidate.(if they had chosen David, they would be in now IMHO) Edited May 8, 2015 by FISHGUTS
