Speaker Faris Wheeler
I have 9 steel mills and I should be making 81 tons per day (without taxes), but I'm only making 50.40 per day (without taxes). I have iron and coal, I don't know what is going on here. Administrators Alex Posted November 30, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 30, 2014 You currently are producing 0 steel per turn because you have 3.5 coal and 8.34 iron. Let's do some basic math here: A steel mill uses 3 tons of coal and 3 tons of iron per day to make 9 tons of steel. You have 9 steel mills, so that's multiply those figures by 9. Per day, you are going to use 27 tons of coal and 27 tons of iron to make 81 tons of steel. Now, a turn is every 2 hours, so there's 12 turns in a day. We can divide those numbers by 12. 27/12 = 2.25 So, you need 2.25 coal and 2.25 iron per turn to make 6.75 tons of steel per turn. Now, with the amount of coal and iron you have on hand, it would seem this would work. However, you're operating on coal power plants. Power plants have priority over the steel mills, as without power they simply can't operate. You have 6 coal power plants, and you're using some of that coal for power per turn. Your revenue page says that you are using 1.40 iron per turn, so it's safe to say that's what's going towards steel. The same amount is obviously being used for coal. 1.4 * 3 = 4.2 You are in fact producing 4.2 tons of steel per turn. Multiply this by 12, and you're producing 50.4 steel per day. The correct amount is being shown. Your alliance has a resource tax rate of 100%, so if you're wondering where all that steel is going, that's where. --- In short, to solve your problem, simply buy more coal (or increase production and wait a couple of turns). You need at least 2.25 plus whatever your power plants are using to operate all of your steel mills (along with the necessary 2.25 iron per turn). Quote Is there a bug?
