Map editor showing the "too large" error when land size is slightly below maximum size

I was trying to make my nation's area as close to the maximum land area as possible when I got an error message for being too large.

I was at around 13499.075 square miles when I got this error message for "going above 13,500 square miles.", even though I was below that threshold.

It is likely a rounding error; the map size calculation is insanely complicated higher level math to calculate the area of an irregular n-sided polygon projected onto a sphere.

If you just make your map area a little smaller, it should work.
