But hold up: before you grab your pitchforks, let me explain. Many analysts have drawn a distinction between the two forms of power: soft power and hard power. Hard power is power through military force, whereas soft power is through trade and cultural influence. Because our nation was formed to accelerate the revival of the modern age after a devastating war, we expand to spread culture and trade; we don't need to conquer people to do this. So, we intend to expand with soft power, not force. Reubenia sees SOE as a potential ally, just like we see almost everyone else. Although our political systems are pretty different, we would be willing to work with you. We haven't had much contact with Rekishtein and Hungadada, so it would be foolish for us to speak about them. The government views Occitania as a low-priority potential ally, due to their repeated slights and threats to us in the UNO. Germany is a worthy ally, who we definitely respect, but unfortunately we have had a few tensions. Reubenia knows little about the world tensions as of yet, but hopes that there can be a peaceful resolution benefitting the most people. If not, Reubenia will assist either the defender or the freer nation, depending on circumstances.
