Calls For More Increase in Defense Raise Uproar

As people are aware, the Kingdom of Wintery had been invaded by Epsilon, an invasion that was thankful published back by our allies within the Meta Board. Still, the damage had been done and was considered to some significant and thus the focus had been on rebuilding. Progress on the rebuilding is going well although it has raised the issue of again increasing spending in the kingdom’s defense.

 

 

The idea was brought up by several Pack members as well as Seekers and backed by some on the royal advisory board; however, with Defense already gotten several boosts in spending, some say sending it more money won't fix anything and say that the boost will mean cuts in other areas of spending.that the kingdom couldn't afford. Others say this was an attempt by the Pack to make the kingdom a more militarized state but such has been dismissed as conspiracy theories.

 

 

Empress Amaryllis has stated that she does not think that just increasing the defense budget will not prevent future travesties from happening, but she is discussing all avenues and she does admit it might come with some increase if it becomes necessary.

 

 

“Innocent lives have been lost because we were sloppy in some areas and I wish to prevent such from happening in the future. The people that are within this kingdom are what we need to treasure the most and as such, I am willing to take any route to keep them safe.â€

 

 

Her response has been met with disapproving responses with crowds standing outside the palace protesting the empress. As of now, the protest is peaceful, but palace security is still.keeping an eye on the group

French Embassy Wintery;

 

 All French Citizens are to keep watchful eye within Government Complexes and in Public Gatherings, alongside this. French Citizens are warned to not participate in Demonstrations which may start out peaceful and turn out violent. Alongside Demonstrators may be injured or arrested, in which case you are to request a French Consular Service Officer to help you if permissible.

The French Empire is ready in any way to support Wintery, and we are happy to increase our Defense Aid if needed, alongside any possible alliance ship.

Hungadian Embassy Statement:

 

All Hungadadian citizens in Wintery should not participate and/or support any emonstrations. Citizens should also avoid large, un-regulated public gatherings. Remain aware of your surroundings. If you feel uncomfortable, you should leave the area, and reach somewhere safe.

 

The Embassy would like to remind citizens that if they are detained, they should contact the Embassy for assistance.
