Crash in Hequ

Companies in Hequ have been experiencing difficulties with business in Hequ. Some people say it was because of the lack of regulation on corporations some say it is because the national assembly wouldn't pass the income bill making the Hequian dollar weak. Either way Baxter has created the Federal Department of Economic Security and Development and is currently running a huge deficit for making jobs. They are also are bailing out the top 4 major Hequian Corporations  (The Hequ Corp, 1 for 1 Oil, 00 arms, and Standard Aluminium). The National Assembly has yet to make an actual statement on the crash. We will get back to you when we have more info.

In response to the economic crisis in Hequ, The Kingdom of The Evenstar's Department of the Treasury have decided to bail out Hequ with a $20,000,000 stimulus package.

This is a 13th of their GDP, and so we expect it to stabilize the situation considerably.

Additionally, the Department of the Treasury has ordered Evenstar business and corporations with assets in Hequ to invest more in those specific establishments.

 

Hequ's instability in the past months have caused headache among the Evenstar aristocracy and executive government officials, who are whining that Hequ has been a drain on Evenstar resources.

Despite these complaints, King Thalmor and government policy shows no signs of changing.

Baxter has made an emergency tax plan raise revenue by 39% and has appointed Susan Smith to the head FDESD and she has made to orders that corporations and companies may not control more then 5% of the Hequian economy. The FDESD will split those who apply into smaller companies.(wit the exception of foreign companies,) Also she ordered the National Assembly may need t run a deficit unless in time of war or there no quicker option to get Hequ out of a recession. Baxter also promises widespread reform and regulations with ideas for 5 new federal agencies.

The French Ministry of Commerce has labled the Hequ Economy as critical as such, it will be a warning to possible investors in France of the outcome, the French Government at this time has no plan to assist Hequ. 

 

 The French Government has however eased taxation on Hequ Cargo ships, and will be willing to listen to any assistance needed.

Today the national assembly has made FDES permanent and has given power to make permanent legislation in times of deficit, they have also made The Department of Environment and Land Use. There job is to regulate the land use of companies and map it out to try to end the might make right mentality that is for controlling land with natural resources. The FDES has also created to 4 government  companies, The Federal Natural Resource Corporation, The Federal Refining Corporation,  The Federal Building Corporation and The Hequian Government Bank. All of these businesses are focusing on employing people, not losing money (but not necessarily making profit) and helping the privet sector.
