Unlike some on Col A side, which saw us paying reps as a chance to try and drag us back in by trying to get the coalition to let them hit us because we paid those reps. Real fricking noble from the Moral Highroad people.
The only people to propose hitting you were people like Elijah, ex-IQ members who hold no power. Everyone else instantly shot the idea down because we all recognized it was dumb, since you guys hadn’t done anything to deserve being hit.

I would give you all my cats and dogs for peace. Granted, I don’t have any, but still.

What's on the other side of that globe you may ask? Coalition A's peace terms.
So you are saying that our peace terms are in Australia and that @Sphinx had them the whole time?
Oy, Sphinx, give us the peace terms that Tiberius says you have.

Are you implying that @Prefonteen actually isn’t the second coming of Jesus Christ and that I have been lied to?

Edit: mods this isn't derailing it's actually referring to a relevant in game community meme. Please no warn pointarino me.
I am still confused as to how this relates to Sphinx, please enlighten me. (No but seriously where did this meme come from?)
Also Sphinx isn’t the most notorious leaker, SK is. I’m not going to go back like 5 pages and find the post of the guy who said that just so I can quote it so I’m just going to say that here. Sphinx has just leaked 3 times, basically every single leader SK has ever had has leaked.

Congratulations to The Immortals on gaining one of the best alliances in Orbis as their allies! Good luck on your partnership!

I've found it really enjoyable to be part of an excellent group of individuals who are well-coordinated and are just all-round cool. It's been quite an experience coordinating with alliance and other non-IQ players to meet the goals set by our leaders, and it's cool to think that we are shaping the future of Orbis with our current actions (and for the better).

It was fun fighting alongside you guys. While I obviously wish you all had stayed in longer, you all have done your part. Good luck on the rebuild, and good luck in the future!

The rules are specific that this only applies to alliance banks, and only when an alliance keeps it hidden. The money and resources in question now belong to an individual player who is not in any alliance.
This was Elijah’s argument when he stole the Yakuza bank and entered VM back in September. His argument didn’t hold up, and Alex returned the bank and deleted 20% of it.
In addition, if this were allowed, what would stop TKR or NPO from having one of their gov members take the bank, leave the alliance, and then enter VM?

Given the weird RNG I've seen over the years, citing an unexpected pyrrhic victory is hardly compelling evidence of anything. A bad roll =/= slotfilling any more than doing a GA rather than, say, a naval attack does. As for your political point, ties two or three steps removed certainly don't make wars less meaningful; otherwise we're not really at war with TCW (BK-GoG-Acadia-TCW) either, now are we?
Just wanted to point out that it would be impossible for the Acadia nation to receive a Pyrrhic victory if they were attacking with their full ground force, even in a worst case scenario. 0.4*351,000=140,000, which is greater than 93,000, or the max that the BK member could roll. So it would be impossible to receive anything less than an Immense Triumph.

Joe Stupid is not the Joe who entered VM, that was Joe Baker.

It’s been fun, CoS. Was an honor to fight alongside you. I wish you all the best of luck in the future.

They're not doing it for the micro, they're doing it because they no longer can justify being part of your coalition to themselves and are doing what's right.
Akuryo is referring to how IQ caused this to happen by defending BoC. In fact, Akuryo is actually in the alliance that caused TCW to join our side.

Well well well, it’s about time.

So.... From what I've gathered, certain alliances were in a position to influence the results of the voting largely in their favor the past couple of years due to their numbers. Now, things are looking different. And suddenly it should be done with delegates? Doesn't sound self-serving at all...
This isn’t entirely correct. IQ definitely controlled the awards last year due to their numbers. I can’t speak to previous years though.

BK sphere never plotted to personally hit KETOG. They were plotting to try and get N$O to hit them. That failed and assurances were given. In my eyes KETOG had no incentive to stop fighting Chaos, unless new Intel was given. Of course Chaos probably wouldn't win, but that goes hand in hand with minispheres. You cant want multiple isolated spheres and then when you cant win against one sphere you team up with the other. That's simply bipolarity style of play and changes nothing in the meta in my opinion.
I think if the idea of multi spheres is to grow in the future it needs buy in from every sphere. Rules and regs, guidelines etc. Some kind of formal code we all abide by.
1. Just because they didn’t want to personally hit KETOGG doesn’t mean that they weren’t a hostile party, and they did plot for KETOGG to get rolled, it doesn’t matter if that plan never ended up happening. They just wouldn’t be the ones to carry it out. We all know that if TKR were to hypothetically plot to have KETOGG hit NPO, you guys would hit TKR, and you guys would be right to do so.
2. Personally, my idea of minispheres is that wars are never just between 2 minispheres. In my ideal world, there would be about 6-7 minispheres, all of them with conflicting interests. You would be able to fight wars without them resulting in either permanent grudges or permanent paperless alignments. You would have to build temporary coalitions to defeat other spheres, and then you could fight against your ex-coalition partners the next war with the people you just rolled. IMO this would make the game much more dynamic, and would make the political environment very interesting. When I first joined, I was very disappointed to learn that the political environment was not like this. You have to admit that this would be more interesting than the current bipolar environment, where we know what the general sides of the next global will be, and the one after that, and perhaps even the one after that.

Okay, so you got assurances N$O wasn't involved. That essentially meant BK's plans were still only on Chaos and that their plan to have KETOG hit had failed. Therefore any threat to KETOG had dissipated. So why did you join Chaos to hit BK sphere or alternatively why did you peace out with Chaos when there was no threat to you? What were the benefits to minispheres in doing what you did, when to my eye the minisphere idea was about to play out? In reality in the time this war has taken we could have had Surfs Up, followed by BK sphere vs Chaos followed by N$O v KETOG. 3 different wars involving different spheres, that's discounting if Fark sphere would have done something too. That to me was the whole minisphere idea.
Usually when someone plots to have you hit and you find out about that, then you hit them first. Just because their plans didn’t pan out this time doesn’t mean that they suddenly are no longer a hostile party. And we both know that Chaos vs BK Sphere would not be a fair fight, BK Sphere was way bigger than us, and even if the majority of their sphere sucks at fighting and is untested or whatever, their numbers are so great that we would never stand a chance. All spheres are not created equal in strength.

If one alliance can have over 1,000 votes, makes it pretty easy to win every Category if they tell their members to vote themselves in every category. That’s where it starts to become kind of pointless & just a number game to win.
Noctis, awards already are a numbers game, and they’ve been a numbers game.

Ok this is a really good post, someone please remind me to consider nominating it for best post 2020 whenever the award season occurs.
Sad to see you guys go, Acadia was an IQ alliance I didn’t hate. I wish you all the best of luck in the future, whatever you guys decide to do.
