  1. I guess the thing people can learn form this, not that they will, is to not be an incredible dick when you are on top because the worm always turns. If you don't act like a huge ass then people are more willing to be nicer to you when they are on top.

You've made your bed, now lie in it or just leave but do stop trying to get pity for your mistakes.

It's been a running theme this entire time, it's been like this ever since I joined where people troll non stop and essentially force people to quit whether you want to admit it or not.  It's a toxic community, that's why I never actively participated on the forums because I wanted nothing to do with it.  Why would anyone want to play the game when that's the precedent that @Alex fails to moderate?  I doubt it will get better, it hasn't got better in the last few years I have played the game despite people being aware of it.

Marx said it best to @Alex, maybe he should read it a few times to understand that it's more a widespread opinion.

You're not alone in that, in all honesty. I would agree wholeheartedly with you but this isn't an issue unique to one side or the other. I don't want to open that can of worms or make this about politics or sides though. I'm tired of the toxicity and I have no interest in engaging or perpetuating it, tonight especially. So I hope you'll take my advice to not let it get to you because it's not worth it and instead just focus on the people that matter to you.

The funny thing is, you can avoid the toxic nature of the forums by just not reading them or replying on them, you can not avoid the war unless you delete or go into VM so I would say the way the war has gone is much worse and caused more people to leave then the forums ever will.

  3. Oh Curu, you poor naive fool. Given that you never played CN I can pity you but to equate Gorge and Akuryo in-game antics the the out of game actions of Goons is just beyond the pale. You should take a tour of of their mercy boards sometime. Perhaps then you would understand. Of course that would require you to stop lying to yourself so I doubt you have balls to do so. Quite frankly you guys have been lying to everyone for so long I doubt you even know what the truth is any longer.

I'm pretty sure my soul is still intact, though as a person without any particular spirituality I'm not sure how I'd determine that.  And I mean if you're unwilling to vote with your feet and instead choose to remain affiliated with Sphinx's menagerie of bank thieves, deserters, slot fillers and otherwise unsavory folks that's fine, but that doesn't change the fact that you're gonna get smeared with offal from the company you're choosing to keep.  Like I said, I would have thought someone with the integrity that I had previously come to expect from you might balk at facilitating Sphinx's shady choices (which you're doing by providing services for him above and beyond that of the average member, regardless of you professed lack of influence) - it's unfortunate that I appear to be wrong on that score.  I still think that you're fundamentally a decent person, so I hope you eventually manage to disentangle yourself from your current circumstances and someday find a home with fewer garbage people residing in it.

Perhaphs if you would think it through you would come to the understanding that I don't do it for him but for the members of tCW much as you do what you do for the members of BK. Unless of course you are fully onboard with all the shady and disgusting theings that Leo and Roq have been doing during this war. If that is the case it is you that will be smeared with offal from the company you're choosing to keep.

Really Curu, people that live in glass houses shouldn't be casting stones. You guys signed NPO and Goons. You really have no room to talk about terrible allies.

    I am truly history's greatest monster ?

Also, the whole 'I'm just a grunt who is only following orders' defence isn't really going to fly for you in this case.  You're in TCW's gov channels, you're listed as an advisor on TCW's AA page and you're trusted enough to manage their bank AA, so at the very least you're complicit in enabling Sphinx's questionable choice of friends, even if you're trying to close your eyes to the implications of that.  If you want to live among the whales that's fine, but if you also want to remain true to the principles that I thought you had there's plenty of other, less shady, places to hang your hat - Guardian and GOB come to mind, or even Chaos if you're so inclined.  Choosing to remain in a bloc with the likes of Gorge and Akuryo is a choice you're consciously making, so you can go ahead and own that one.

As for terms, at this time the loan is still on the books and, as I said, we even tossed some money on the principal at Sphinx's request but, again, I'm not Econ so it's not really my area.

Sigh, no you are not history's greatest monster but you do enable Leo on his quest to do stupid things.

As I recall, I was in BK's government channels and at times held their bank during a war and had zero affect on what Leo and upper government did at the time as well. So that dog don't hunt.

Leaving my alliance during a war, however I felt about what my government was doing is something I am very loath to do and is something that I would take a very long time to decide. No matter how most people in this game feel about it I still have a great deal of personal honor and will do what I feel is the right thing for me. Just because you have sold your soul to the devil doesn't mean I should or will.

Actually we did throw some money at that on Sphinx's request, though my understanding was that it was supposed to be deferred until postwar (I'm not Econ, so it's really not my area).  Also, considering you're in an AA that is in a bloc with two AAs led by bank thieves and implicitly defending a third with your comments, I'm not sure you're in a position to get too judgemental there, Who Me ?

I am absolutely not defending that fool. If he agreed to pay that back, he should.

The amount of influence I have on what Sphinx does is right there at zero.

Paying back the loan after the war is fine, not that you guys ever want it to end. However I have also seen your "peace terms" for tCW so please do not play stupid with me. You can talk out your ass to people that don't know any better all you want but please do do so to me.

You used to be a reasonable person, it is sad to see what you have become.

Again, while I'd be personally okay with you deleting so I no longer have to respond to your inane posts, the only demand BK has for you is that you honour the public agreement you made to repay the stolen funds you received from Gorge.  Also, your original justification for reneging on your word was that you wanted the funds you stole from Yakuza back (since you stole their bank when you deserted your leadership post there), rather than some nebulous plan to roll you post payment (why you think we'd bother with that is beyond me), but given that we returned the funds to Yak after we reclaimed them from you that's unlikely.  So yeah, the deleting part is up to you (though personally I wouldn't mourn your departure given your antics), but returning the stolen funds you received would be our demand, yes.

How very reasonable of you especially when BK doesn't want to repay the $7 billion loan they got from tCW pre war. It is sad to see how far into the crap you guys have fallen.

Seven months into a probably endless war that is likely hurting the game, and your argument is that, without baseball, certain parties couldn't maintain fighting an endless war that is bad for the game.  Huh.

Considering what NPO domination has done to CN and that this war is exactly what they are trying to do here? I would say that having baseball around to help people keep fighting is a very good thing. Having another pile of shit that CN has become is not something anyone other than NPO or Goons would want.

    5 hours ago, Frawley said:

Got any evidence for that wild accusation.  NPO got to the top of that game because we were better organised and disciplined than our opponents.

While you may have been better organized and disciplined than your opponents, you were and are the biggest backstabbing paranoid !@#$ in the world there and will no doubt try and do the same thing here.

  9. He's already nerfed it twice. You people that keep wanting baseball removed from the game are being very short sighted. Removing baseball will probably crash the economy of the game. Without the money baseball puts into the game a lot of people would not be able to keep fighting, building cities, buying infra and all the other stuff they need to keep fighting. There would also be much less money being spent on the trade markets so they would probably crash as well. So even the people not fighting would be affected. This isn't like the whole treasure thing. There are a finite number of treasures available at any one time in the game but everyone can play baseball if the wish.

As for baseball itself, I will reiterate, a single baseball stadium itself shouldn't be able to host a thousand games a day and fund an entire nation's development. It's a stupid mechanic added by a certain dolt of a developer, and that same developer should receive any and all blame when it comes to the feature's existence and use, not the people smart enough to use it for their own benefit.

Well, it is a game after all. A nation shouldn't be able to build thousands of tanks, hundreds of planes and ships and recruit tens of thousands of soldiers every day for months on end either. If they can do all that, why can't they play a large amount of baseball games per day?

    You're desperate, I understand.

Not at all and no you don't. Since the advent of the tipping system it is actually profitable to play away games. So more people are willing to play just away games for tips. Therefor people can play more games per day then before because there are people willing to play away games. It's a very simple logic that you and others can not seem to grasp.

It shouldn't be hard for you to prove to Sheepy you're retired right? I'm only observing the unrealistic numbers and I played for several years (played abit of baseball too) before re-rolling.

I could yes, but with his history of posting people's personal info for anyone to see there would have to be a very compelling reason to do so. If you haven't played baseball recently you really don't know how it works any more. It is very different than it was a couple of years ago.

  13. 33 minutes ago, Plo Koon said:

An average of 500 games per day over 5.4 years is very suspicious.

Your own average is 856,329 games over 1453 days is 589.3 games per day

Here's a pro tip, you don't have to play them all at once. you have 24 hours each day. As has been stated more then once, I am retired so I have all the time in the world to play baseball. If sheepy had half a brain he would look for patterns of play and easily figure out if someone is using a bot to play. It's really not that hard to figure out.

Playing 3 games per minute you can play 180 games an hour. You can easily play 3+ games a minute if you have active home and away players. If you have really active away players and a small queue you can play a game every 8 seconds or so, it doesn't take long for the games to pile up.

The Dorin Vvhhbnn have an overall record of 0 wins and 0 losses. In their history they have scored 0 runs, 0 of which were home runs, and they have pitched 0 strikeouts.

Maybe if you actually played the game you would figure that out but I guess it's just easier to blow shit out your ass than to be knowledgeable about the subject.

  14. Just like I just got done playing Destiny 2 for 5 hours, yes, it is quite easy to sit down and play baseball for 2-3 hours a day if there are other people playing at the same time. Until sheepy put the 1000 game limit on full payout for home games I would play both home and away games at the same time. Play a home game then clear the away queue, then play another home game. You can play a lot of games in a very short time doing so.

As Sphinx said earlier, I am retired, have been for 4 and a half years so I have all the time I want or need to play as many games as I feel like playing.

Furthermore, now that we are looking at the data, it seems obvious that at least 3 nations have abused baseball using bots.

    fghiQt.jpg

In the 1,998 days the game has existed, these nations have each played around 1,000,000 games of baseball. That's, on average, ~500 games / day (a lot to do manually.) Realistically, they did not play 500 everyday, and must have had periods of playing more games at one time.

But, these baseball teams haven't been around since the beginning of the game. The top revenue generating team (~$14.5 billion in-game) has only been around for 947 days. That's averaging 1,040 games per day. Has someone really dedicated hours every day for the past 3 years to playing baseball?

Yes, that was a mistake - billions, not trillions. However, Blighty and Who Me have generated enourmous amounts of money playing baseball and very likely ran bots. Also birdsonwheels5, although they got less money out of it. See my above post.

I don't know about Blighty but I can assure you, I click every button myself and unless you can prove otherwise I suggest you talk to your lawyer and ask him about slander before you continue down this road.

I have been playing baseball from day one of my nation. I have player a total of 856,329 games in 1,453 days for an average of 589 games per day.If you have people actively playing you can easily play that many games in 2-3 hours. It's really not that hard. If you would actually pay attention to your game you would know that.

yyyyAll this post says is he used 3rd party software to access my account. Still a violation of game rules.

Well shit Leo, I guess you have a couple of choices here.

    1. Have Alex ban everyone that has used BK.NET to deposit and withdraw money and/or resources for accessing your account and ban you as well for letting other people have access to your account.

    2. Admit that you are once again lying out your ass.

On 1/13/2020 at 1:57 PM, Bjorn Ironside said:

no one has proven Gorge logged on to Leo's account, all that has been proven is Gorge used the BK banking program to send himself money, no one has proven Gorge logged on to Leo's account.

You don't log into anyone's P&W account. You log in to your BK.NET account, fill out the transaction you wish to execute. Then BK.NET uses whoever's account is linked to it to send the money/resources to the nation requesting them. The nation in question has no access to anyone else's P&W account. Now it is possible that BK grants their high government members to have more commands in BK.NET and if that is the case they should have removed georges access to those commands (if any) when he left. Given how paranoid BK is about virtually everything  I find it hard to believe they wouldn't do so as soon as he left.

Put CN in a bag and thrash it with some Clubs. The game is dead and so are the players inside. This game here has always been superior in every regard, and I'm sick of seeing any connections to it, and especially alliances. You can now thank me for my kind words. ?

This game is equally broken in entirely different ways. Although there are starting to be some similarities of late.

I generally remain silent and allow internal matters to stay where they belong, internal, but I will make an exception here since Eva has demonstrated her constant need for attention.

I do want to however before I get into specific details lay out that on many occasions she has been thanked for assistance with Discord and graphics, and this gratitude is no strings attached. Polaris is a community though that spans multiple games and has members across the globe. As such, there are basic rules of conduct that all members, including those in positions of authority, are expected to follow.

The actions that she took against Terminator that were mentioned were not THE reason she originally had moderation permissions revoked, but it was A reason. We can debate that simple fact if you wish, but it will not change what has occurred.

Phoenix made a deal with Eva when this punitive action was taken that if she could behave that after a period of a month she would be given permissions back.

Following the passage of a month, these permissions were restored with the directive that she is to only worry about structure (channels/categories) and to leave the moderation of users to others. Within one hour of this taking place, she modified a role to add permissions to it. In the month that she had no permissions we moved to a system where moderation permissions were handled with roles specifically for said perms and not attached to other titles. In less than 24 hours after receiving moderation permissions she assigned herself the Emperor role multiple times. Not one attempt at asking for proper permissions was made. When questioned, nothing was seen as wrong in her eyes.

These events were not one-off occurrences but a pattern of abuses of power and disregard for anyone other than herself. As such, it was decided unanimously by the government of each game that expulsion was necessary and proper to rid the community of the cancer.

Wait, you kicked Eva but kept Grub? You got rid of the wrong cancer. Typical little p behavior.
