  1. Ohayōgozaimasu! Welcome to the Rokkenjima News Report for May 3, 2020 here on RNN! I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. Today's broadcast will be a rather short one, but extremely important. Please stay tuned until the end. Since Rokkenjima reported its first cases of COVID-19 on April 8th, there have been almost nonstop protests, both small and large, by many of Rokkenjima's various species. Before we get into the Witch Council's response to the protests, RNN would like to report to the people of Rokkenjima and the world that Rokkenjima is now free of the Coronavirus. The fifteen patients who tested positive between the cities of Beijing and Hong Kong have all recovered thanks to the efforts of our brave healthcare workers. They will continue to be monitored for the next fourteen days just to be sure, but are expected to be able to return to daily life very soon. We thank everyone involved with making this possible, and wish the patients healthy days ahead. Moving on, the Witch Council has given us permission to air their response to Rokkenjima's mass protests, so we will shift gears to that now. "Good morning, people of Rokkenjima. This is Eva-Beatrice, speaking to you on behalf of the Witch Council. We are delivering this address today in response to the recent protests throughout the country, as well as demands being made toward us. For many years, Rokkenjima has been a strong and stable nation, in many ways thanks to the diverse population that makes it up. We have accomplished many great things together as one nation. Throughout the years, the Witch Council has done its best to ensure that all species living in Rokkenjima are able to live the best lives possible. Although the Council is composed of only witches, we are far from the only species in Rokkenjima to hold power. There is no better example of this than our own military. Between Commander Satan Jacob and his Demon Generals, General Esdeath, and the many other humans, demons, angels, Diclonii, vampires, and witches who are currently serving, all of them contribute to Rokkenjima's continued prosperity and success. With this in mind, the Witch Council is denying repeated requests to form an interspecies governing body. We wish to keep moving forward as we have been since our formation, together as one. Thank you." RNN asks that any responses to the Council's decision are kept civil. That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne!
  2. The following units have been incorporated into the Armed Forces of Rokkenjima as of May, 2020: 4 Aura-Class Submarines (modified design of the American Seawolf class submarines) - $40 billion 16,000 soldiers - $4.8 billion 20 ZTS tanks - $200 million 100 Dream End Jets - $5 billion ------------------------------- Additionally, upon order of the Witch Council, the number of Goat Butlers has been reduced by 12,000 in order to build up the Army's witches, bringing the total to 30,000.
  3. Bernkastel of the Witch Council has approved Britannia's request to permit doctors entry into Rokkenjima.
  4. You need to list what military units you have, keeping in mind the restrictions in that post I linked.
  5. @Ikhan You need to make a post as well as a military post before being added to the map. Also @Corpsman you need to make a military post if you haven't yet. Information on the military post can be found here: Current map as of 4/26/2020
  6. Due to the current health crisis and situation within Rokkenjima, the Witch Council had found themselves in the routine of holding daily meetings. Today was no different, as they were once again gathered in an undisclosed building in Tokyo, this time being briefed by Rokkenjima's Head of Internal and Foreign Affairs, Crestia Bel. "In regard to COVID-19, the number of cases in both Beijing and Shanghai have remained consistent. As of right now, Beijing remains at fifteen cases while Shanghai remains at eight. Furthermore, the health departments of both cities have begun requiring every citizen to be tested. People have been complying with the order thus far, but continue to voice their displeasure with the situation online. As long as the virus remains in those two cities, however large they may be, we should have enough testing kits for everyone. We've yet to see additional cases elsewhere since the bolstering of defenses along our border." Beatrice nodded, taking in the information. "Indeed. That would be in line with what we learned from Commander Satan's report earlier that the People's Liberation Army is focusing their efforts on policing China's population, punishing anyone who goes outside unnecessarily. Since we caught wind of what they were doing, the smuggling of infected people across the border has ceased." Bernkastel shifted her expressionless gaze to Crestia, casually asking her question. "And what is the state of the protests?" Crestia responded. "Right. It seems the protests have started gaining traction among all of Rokkenjima's species. They've started to become more unified as well, with the common desire for equal representation in government. They remain peaceful for the moment. However, there has been some arguments over whom would hold the most power if an interspecies council is created, and the power that members would have over a different species." Virgilia voiced her concern. "I believe the possibility of these protests turning violent is high. It would be wise for this council to discuss the creation of an interspecies council as well as who would be included in such a thing, or at the very least, address the concerns of the citizens." Lambdadelta raised a point in response. "How do we know that doing any of those things will even calm the protests? What did they do upon noticing the number of Coronavirus cases didn't rise? They shifted the goal post from how Rokkenjima should respond to the virus to something entirely different. Who's to say they won't do that again? Sure, an interspecies council could be created, but so long as someone disagrees with their representative, they shall never be satisfied. It's all on Eva-Beatrice though, since she decided not to enforce her Territory Lord powers this time around." Eva had a cheeky grin on her face as she looked at Lambda. "Hoh? I'm sorry Lady Lambdadelta, are you dissatisfied with the current state of affairs? I thought you would've been enjoying this more than rolling around in absolute boredom. Nevertheless, the Witch Council will hold a discussion on the matter and address the nation after coming to a decision. Thank you, Crestia Bel, for the report. You are dismissed for now." Crestia bowed respectfully, taking her leave. Upon her exit, the Witch Council would begin their discussion.
  7. As the sound of rain and wind outside permeated the empty room, Bernkastel sipped her tea, looking down at the city below with an almost melancholic expression. Her pensive mood could be the result of current world events, or even the meeting held by the Witch Council moments prior. Whatever it was, she was using this time alone to deliberate over a vote in which she would be the deciding factor. The vote itself was regarding a simple matter, that being whether or not to permit Durotar's doctors entry into the country to assist with the ongoing pandemic. Despite this relatively simple decision, the rest of the Council was split 2 to 2. Bern looked over at the television, reading a headline on RNN about the Britannian expansion into South America. She sipped her tea, letting out a small sigh. "They've grown cocky after their successful invasion. Britannia would be wise to secure their own coast before dabbling in the affairs of another continent. Speaking of which..." She then shifted her glance from the television to the large map of Rokkenjima on the wall, focusing on a certain point in particular - the Britannian territory of Mt. Fuji. She said nothing, only sipping her tea as she stared at the map. To a spectator, it would appear as if the lone witch was bored out of her mind, doing absolutely anything to pass the time. Such a spectator would be ignorant, however, completely unaware of the thoughts racing through Bernkastel's mind. She was only snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of something other than the wind and rain outside. Looking at the ground, she noticed a group of protestors, likely human, seemingly spouting something about the Coronavirus. Such protests started popping up in cities across the country after the closures of Beijing and Shanghai. Bern found it amusing - humans demanding things of the government over a matter they didn't fully understand. Despite the fact that only humans were getting infected, these protests started raising awareness of another issue. That issue could be summarized as the fair and equal representation of Rokkenjima's various species in government. This wasn't the first time the idea floated around. However, as the days and weeks passed, protests would form that only proliferated it further. Bern continued to watch the protest until it wandered out of sight. She stood up from her chair upon finishing her tea. It wasn't clear at what moment she had come to a decision, but she had. After taking one last glance out the window, her form turned into a swarm of gold butterflies as she teleported, ready to inform the Council to let the doctors in.
  8. @Royal Confederacy Decent start. Just try to make topic posts at least a paragraph long. Posts in response to something else can be shorter, though plenty of detail is encouraged. Also, feel free to join the Discord server for easier communication with everyone. https://discord.gg/EfSKq8s
  9. Make sure to post an RP post in the subforum. It takes a bit for the map in this post to be updated, so it helps if new people post after applying to show they're serious about participating.

  11. Ohayōgozaimasu! Welcome to the Rokkenjima News Report for April 8, 2020 here on RNN! I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. We have some important news to share regarding the Coronavirus, so please stay tuned. As of today, Rokkenjima is reporting its first confirmed cases of COVID-19. Currently, there are fifteen cases of the virus in Beijing, and eight in Shanghai. This news comes despite Rokkenjima's efforts to shut down its borders last month after the People's Republic of China started reporting its first cases, as well as shutting down the city of Wuhan. In a statement issued by the Witch Council earlier today, they suspect Communist China of smuggling infected individuals across the border into these highly populated cites as a form of retaliation against Rokkenjima. Although this hasn't yet been confirmed, the Council has decided to step up military presence on Rokkenjima's border to prevent illegal crossings. Furthermore, the Witch Council continued on to state that the patients who tested positive in Rokkenjima are all human. It is not yet known if the virus is able to infect other species of people, but the Council has urged all of Rokkenjima's citizens to act with utmost care in these times. Additionally, as the true number of infected persons within Rokkenjima is not yet known, the Council decided to start restricting travel in and out of Beijing and Shanghai, with internal travel also restricted to only essential business. Following in the footsteps of other Asian countries with confirmed cases of COVID-19, only essential businesses will be operating within the two cities until things have cleared up. Residents residing in Beijing and Shanghai have begun questioning why the Council doesn't use Ragnaid to cure those infected, with the Council responding by expressing concern over the possibility that Ragnaid may cause further mutations of the virus, making it more difficult to effectively cure. As of now, research on a possible vaccine still continues with no ETA. Please stay tuned to RNN for updates on COVID-19. That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne!
  12. Ronove appeared to once again guide the Britannian guests, this time to the docks. Thus concludes the first Rokkenjima Conference.
  13. "When don't we play nicely?" Eva asks in a teasing manner, giggling. "Is there anything else Britannia wishes to be discussed before this meeting is adjourned? If not, the Witch Council looks forward to meeting you again in the future for further discussion."
  14. "Excellent. In the meantime, Rokkenjima will agree to a non-aggression pact with the Holy Britannian Empire until such time that the Chinese Federation is established, at which point another meeting will be held to discuss an upgrade. Does that sound fair, Emperor Lelouch?"
  15. Lambda replied. "We will do what we can to control the outbreak within Rokkenjima. However, it is up to other countries to treat their own citizens. Of course, should Rokkenjima develop a vaccine, we will be happy to share it. Until such time, it will be the responsibility of the Federation and Britannia to control the outbreak on their soil."
  16. Ohayōgozaimasu! Welcome to the Rokkenjima News Report for March 5, 2020 here on RNN! I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. We have some major updates for you today, so let's not waste any time and get right to the news. The Witch Council has announced today that a ceasefire between Rokkenjima and the People's Republic of China will be put in place immediately, following reports that the Chinese city of Wuhan has been shut down due to the outbreak of COVID-19. COVID-19 is a strain of the Coronavirus family of viruses that has not been previously identified in humans. It is unknown how the virus started, but it is known to spread rapidly. Rokkenjima has suspended its campaign in China indefinitely due to the virus, and will be locking down its own borders to prevent COVID-19 from entering the country. The Witch Council has announced that research on a vaccine will begin immediately, as well as an investigation into how the virus originated. As part of the effort to close Rokkenjima's borders, the Witch Council has deemed securing Rokkenjima's territory a top priority. This includes the previously disputed territories of Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands, Japan, and Taiwan. With the apparent collapse of Calondian governance within these territories, the Rokkenjima Armed Forces, with help of General Esdeath's Jaegers, took steps to completely secure them. The Witch Council has declared that Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands, Japan, and Taiwan are completely under Rokkenjiman control, and as such, will be easier to protect from the spread of COVID-19. It should also be noted that representatives from Calondia never arrived at the Rokkenjima Conference last month, which factored into the Council's decision. We at RNN urge the citizens of Rokkenjima to stay safe and healthy, and to tune into RNN for constant updates on COVID-19. That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne!
  17. Bernkastel continued to speak calmly. "It is up to you. I only mention Cuba, as it is the only other Communist nation besides China. Once things clear up, Rokkenjima would gladly assist the Chinese Federation in breaking away from the People's Republic of China. Additionally, the establishment of the Federation would allow Britannia to expand their influence to Asia, would it not? Perhaps then, our two countries can work out an agreement of some sort." The rest of the Council looked at Bernkastel with astonishment, none expecting the quiet one who looked like she didn't want to be there to propose something of the sort. No one disagreed with her proposal, though.
  18. "Indeed, that does sound quite interesting. However, there's more to the story. The reason as to why the People's Republic of China is having such a difficult time, and the reason why our plans may need to be put on hold." Lambda spoke. "It hasn't yet been announced to the public, but apparently a deadly virus has broken out in the city of Wuhan. Between the war and this outbreak, the entire country has been shut down." Virgilia finished the thought. "Due to this, Rokkenjima is planning to announce a temporary ceasefire until such time that the virus is contained. This means closing our borders as well." Bernkastel then chimed in. "If you still wish to assist, there's always Communist Cuba, a thorn in the side of you and other nations, I'm sure."
  19. Lambda gave a slightly exasperated sigh as Bern chuckled at her. Beatrice motioned for them to sit down. "Alright, kitties. Save the cat fight for later." As everyone sat down at the table, Eva began the meeting. "As you know, Rokkenjima is currently at war with the People's Republic of China. Tibet recently seceded from mainland China and thus far, Rokkenjima has control of over half of the Chinese coastline." Virgilia spoke next. "We have some concerns however. We've tried to operate in a way that minimizes civilian casualties, but they still inevitably occur. Another concern is the ineffectiveness that the People's Liberation Army is having in launching a counterattack. They've yet to gain any ground against us or the newly formed Tibet." Beatrice then spoke. "Of course, we aren't complaining about having an easy time, but witches aren't fond of boredom, which is part of the reason why I sent you that letter. So tell us, Emperor Lelouch, what is your opinion of the ongoing conflict with what we've told you so far?"
  20. "Well then, if you're ready to begin, please follow us into the dining room. We will hold the meeting there." Eva and Beatrice turned around, leading the guests through the halls and into the dining room. There, the other members of the Witch Council were waiting. "Allow me to introduce the rest of the Orbis Witch Council. The Golden and Endless Witch and predecessor to Beatrice, Virgilia. The Witch of Certainty, Lambdadelta. The Witch of Miracles, Bernkastel." Virgilia smiled politely. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Bernkastel grinned and chuckled. Lambda leaned forward. "Well, it's about time you got here. Awfully brave of you to come here all by yourselves."
  21. No fun allowed in the Polaris server. A moment of silence for Eva's waifus.
  22. "Well then, please follow me." Ronove turned around, beginning the hike from the beach up to the mansion. Trees quickly surrounded the group as they started up the stairs, soon finding a path that led through the woods straight to the mansion grounds. The weather was mild and the sun was shining through the trees, almost as if spring had come early to the island. After a bit of walking, the group had finally arrived at the Ushiromiya mansion. The rose garden had yet to bloom, but was still somewhat impressive. Ronove continued to guide them to the mansion's entrance. The doors slowly opened on their own as they stepped inside. The entrance hall was beautifully decorated as if for a party. There were snacks and drinks set out as well. Standing in the entrance hall was Eva-Beatrice, along with Beatrice her predecessor. Ronove bowed to his master. "I have brought our guests here as requested. If you request anything more, please just let me know. If not, I shall begin preparations for dinner." Beatrice chuckled as herself and Eva approached Lelouch and C.C. respectively. "So you have come, Emperor Lelouch. My letter must have piqued your interest." Beatrice chuckled as Eva spoke to C.C. "It's a pleasure to see the witch of Britannia again after so long. I regret to inform you that Maria Kurenai is not here, however. I know you two get along so well~"
