There is no point to espionage, it's a headless chicken, running around the yard making a mess (see other topics for a discussion around beige).

The point of beige though, is to be a safe zone for you to recover (or to be protected if you are new).

You can't recover if you're constantly harrassed by espionage attacks.

Additionally, does it make sense that it's possible to have a low score nation, harrass new nations with espionage attacks, who are in their initial "safe" beige period? I know that would drive me to quit a game before I started.

If you think spying is  headless chicken then you really are still in the dark on how alliances should be spying

Do you ever get tired of making these same posts every war?

    Well thats embarrassing for us

Also, why did you guys decide on a 5 day cap? Seems kinda redundant to give them all this incentive to get back into the fight but not give them their full rebuy? Also can't really organize a proper comeback if the alliance beige timers are all scattered a day or 2 behind. If 30% of the sphere or alliance comes off beige 1 or 2 days before the rest (due to not being maxed yet) then there's really no point in rebuilding at all, since they already wiped 100% of the sphere, 30% coming out is a walk in the park.

Would you like me to find the several threads regarding these changes I've made over the years? As I've said in the design channel the shift from your attacker letting you build versus the game giving you a window to build is the theme of these shifts.

I've also seen the messages directing people to go downvote and upvote the thread. Nice try though.

Feel free to share ss's of those messages because to my knowledge that's false

  4. I will again mention, your changes are meant to make it easier for a spy comeback, and to level the playing field correctly?

Your changes make it so rose will never lose another spy war, if these changes were live for this war HW would be wiped after we all rebuilt in the reserve.

You're trying to make it more even but in fact you're making it much more of a rose spy game. I'm against the changes even though they benefit rose

    Edit:

I'll also mention, rose spy team is putting out probably 100 hours per day combined of labour involved with spying, you can't say it's an unfair mechanic when almost every other alliances uses a very bad bot system to do ops. It's not the mechanics that are broken, it's the laziness of other alliances that make it appear broken

Insisting? Are you getting logs of the design channel? Regardless that's a bold, and incorrect claim. I posted the idea of removing it, someone suggested removing it and adding the op. We then went on a long talk about other areas of the change and then I said this:

One last thing before I go.
Changing the 1.5x spy rate for spy sat to 1 additional op is something liked, yes?

Someone confirmed and then I said.

That got lost in the shuffle but I didn't want to omit it.
    Works for me.

And it would be interesting to see who is actually in your design team, would you mind listing the names?

Yes, this is the reason for the beige changes. One of the biggest let downs when you're winning a war is when the enemy sells off everything and your left there punching a dead bag. You should want enemies to rebuild so you can keep fighting, it's more fun to fight someone who can fight back. This way a war, and a spy war, isn't over and done in the opening moments. Something that can go on for weeks and months isn't done in the moment. Will the other side rebuild? Not necessarily. Can they with these changes? Yes. That being the important thing.

So yes, these are good things. Thanks for highlighting them.

With spy sat you can kill off more than enough spies in the opening day to spend the next day change on units if need be.

In a 1v1 sure, in a global that's not plausible, you have like 1000 members that need to be wiped before you can think of swapping to military kills. 3x'n buy rates and nearing spy sat makes it near impossible to effectively spy military in a global.

Yes I see some logs of the spy talk stuff, these changes are top dramatic and game breaking, if you want to make spies useless and have sheepy refund billions in sats, then by all means

Pretty sure my calculations are correct.

You can be targeted by 3 Espionage Operations in a day and the maximum potential damage for Tanks/Aircraft/Ships are 37% of your Daily Rebuy.

Also on top of that, Sheepy has already nerfed Espionage Operations so you can't destroy nukes that were built that day, yet nothing was changed for other military units.

This means that you can literally keep someone at or near zero military, by simply spamming them with Espionage Operations each day.

Just going by the maths, that is f*cked.

It's based off their current amount not their potential max, if they're rebuying from 0, you can't wipe that rebuy from ops.

If someone goes from 0 to 10k tanks with a double buy you can only kill 750 max with a sat

Your math on a maxed whatever city was accurate, it's the fact you listed tanks and soldiers as your 2 examples which shows you're just a whale who doesn't know war

Last time I saw Rose get this salty was when they didnt get there way w/ Atlas hen they unmerged. Yall really are quite sensitive sallys, specially for attackin Deul after he called ya out on something ya dont want to man up to own up to. This is exactly why I chose my vocality over Atlas when it came to yall backrooming to get me kicked. Cuz no matter how lighthearted or heavy the comment, its this kind of salt.

Anyways, GL broskis & sista's at Iron! Thus salt is always expected against likes of Rose & TKR.

Also just cus yall are able to yeet away w/ spies, doesnt mean yall are gonna win. Ya all already gave up after a couple days of fighting by decomming military & infra for the millionth time in a war cus it wasnt going your way. How bout get better milcom next time vs a very similar tactic each time. Ya usually either decom mil/infra hen defesive or  pair w/ another sphere to make it a dogpile in yalls favor. Is that really exciting for yall to try a new tactic/government ideas or naw?

oh hush, you have no room to talk after what has been happening this past month internally, even w/o me there intervening.

Funny you say atlas unmerged, all the members worth keeping, stayed
