  2. Thanks for banning the last set of guys. Or guy. Not sure if this is a multi. But because one of the alliances is one Young Gulio keeps harping about, I figured it was worth running past you: Unique ID Search You may use this page to check for nations with the same Unique ID. Remember, just because two nations are on the same network does not mean they are cheating or breaking the rules. We will allow multiple nations on the same network, so long as they are following the Game Rules. Nations can be considered cheating (and should be reported) if they're sending "sweetheart" bank withdrawals or trades (think buying 1 food at $1,000,000) for example. Please report any behavior you think might be cheating here: https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/forum/133-game-reports/. 3. Have kids? I didn't even know we were dating?!
  4. I'm glad I looked at this. it's also true that my seniority is off. I joined Rose on January 31st, finished the applicant phase by February 1st, but it's showing that I only have 6 days seniority.

  7. Wisdom. Wisdom is something you only get with an experience. Sometimes you get what you think is a brilliant idea to do something no one else ever did. But then you find out that the reason no one ever did it-- or did it once and stopped doing it-- is because it's sort of pointless and not very cost-effective. Such as reading this post when instead you could be out buying lottery tickets. So I had this brilliant idea: a huge chunk of this game's player base is brand new players that quit 10 minutes after they start, leaving lots of juicy countries around with lots of cash and no money. Well... here is why it's not worth it, for anyone who comes after me: You ordered a ground attack upon the nation of Easton led by Easton III. The attack was an immense triumph. Your forces lost 1 soldiers and 0 tanks, while Easton III's defenders lost 0 soldiers and 0 tanks. You used 0.00 tons of munitions and 0.00 tons of gasoline executing the attack. The attack destroyed 0.50 infrastructure in the city of Eastonville. You stole $10,221.12 in the attack and destroyed 0 improvements. That's just a really sad and pathetic amount of cash, unless you're a teenager. When I was a teenager, that would have been lots of money. But now looking at it as an adult, that's really not even worth it. I just assumed that there would be no 'resistance' from an inactive country with no garrison, and I'd walk away with like 10 billion dollars in one single attack. Clearly, I was wrong. Well, now I know better. I guess I'll go start building soldiers and cities and land and stuff after all. Oh well, lesson learned. But at least I found my nation goal, my reason for staying in Politics and War. I'm the guy who did that ridiculous raid thing with a 10.5 point country. I'm that guy.
  8. This probably isn't a glitch, but my team stinks. I've played 4 home games and earned around $750.00, which is still terrible, but the game thinks I've earned $0.0: Money Invested: $17,000.00 | Money Earned: $0.00
  9. Well, you can live vicariously through me and my sexy 5" banana. Go message some rich whale in the game and have them buy my sexy 5" banana. Then if only it wasn't against the rules, (since time travel is like a Steam game or South Korean porn), I would tell you how to go back to 2019 legally using nothing more than your wits, a $56 quadrillion dollar supercomputer, and a rotating Einstein-Rosen quantum wormhole gate. Easy as that! The banana has already made the trip!!
  10. He did. That's a real offer that was accepted. I don't even know the guy; just messaged him explaining that it was a tutorial objective to sell something. He could see that I was on Day 1 and thus legit, so he bought it. Now I put up a new offer. Others will come.
  11. Hey, Contingency. I also just started. How has your first week or two been?
  12. Hello and welcome, Lava. I am new here as well, and so far it's a fun place.
  13. Yes, that's why I have farms. Everyone suggests against them, but it's a roleplay thing. I produce bananas. And people pay good money for them, because I only sell them one at a time because they are Gourmet. If you haven't had a New Manhattan Island Gourmet Banana, you're just a loser and no one will ever love you. 01/27 11:04 pm Joe B. of ____ sent your nation a trade offer. Joe B. wants to buy 1 food in exchange for $100,000 each, or a total of $100,000. In real life, Joe B. started out as being from Ohio, alone and living in his mother's basement at the age of 38. After buying my 5" banana, he went out, lost 30 lbs and 14 years, met a sexy Russian girl who was always horny, won the lottery, and moved to Brooklyn where he has a dozen friends named Vinnie and Tony who all hang around looking muscular and confused. 14. Thank you, Aqua Corpsman, that answered my question-- at least the 'how' part. As to to the 'why' part, the game itself answered it for me: objective #16 of the new player objectives is to join an Alliance. Anyway, I have found my goal in life, to be a banana republic. No infrastructure and 88% of my population in military uniforms, doing nothing but standing around marching all day. Good work! Out of the 301 active nations capable of attacking you, you have 322.29% more than the average number of Soldiers (467). Maintaining a strong standing military is important to discourage other nations from attacking you, and to defend your nation against any who dare declare war. Like the old adage goes: if you want peace, prepare for war!
  15. Objective #13 Completed You have created a Baseball Team, and received the $50,000 reward for this objective. Congratulations! Objective #13: Create a Baseball Team Reward: $50,000 (gif deleted at being oversized.) Sorry for making you go through all that, and look at all those pages! I know you want to do something more fun, and I've got just the thing. Baseball! Whether you're familiar with the sport or not, you'll find the Orbis Baseball League easy to use and play. Baseball is a mini-game in Politics & War that you can play in your spare-time to generate money for your nation. You can create a team for free, and then begin playing matches against other nations' teams. You don't have to play baseball, and if you wish, after this objective you can ignore it forever. You should also be warned about the risks involved in investing into your baseball team. You can upgrade your players and your stadium, but know that you will have to play a lot of matches to earn back your investment. For a new player, I would not recommend investing any money into your baseball team. To complete this objective and receive your $50,000 reward, you must Create a Baseball Team. There is a Baseball link located in the left-hand sidebar, underneath the Nation heading. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eventually, it did move on; I had to reload the page. I think the error was that I created the team and then immediately hosted a home game while still in the midst of objective #13. This should be easily fixed with an extra IF/ELSEIF statement checking to see if the player does both things at once. Or even just add in a line to the blurb above saying "If you've already created your team and hosted a home game, just reload this page for your 2nd reward."
  16. I apologize in advance for this question Duke Ramza, but I'm confused. If you feel that way, why did you join Weebunism something like 10 minutes after you joined the game? I mean, it might have taken a day or so for the paperwork to go through depending on their interview process, but you did it relatively quickly. You've only been in the game 5 days and been in Weebunism for at least 4. Do you regret rushing out of beige?
  17. Hello. I am new to "Politics and War," so I don't really have anything to say yet. I have around 30 messages in my inbox. So I'll be looking at all those in the next few says; it's just way too many to make a snap-decision. That's why I'm staying beige, at least for the next few days. Anyway, to the topic at hand: Lots of you guys rush to build up your countries, but I'm not convinced that this is the best strategy for me. Does having 300 land give me any more emotional satisfaction than having 250 land, or 350? No. I need to find a goal for my country, or all the offers from Alliances of money and cities and protection will be good economically for my country on paper, but won't help if I disappear in 30 days out of boredom. So I need a goal for my country besides growth. For example, maybe my country will be an elite team of 5 millionaire guys who are living in a secret island base somewhere. Maybe it will be a land of Khajit warlords and their Argonian slaves. Maybe it will be a country of superheroes and supervillains. But I need to find a goal that will either eliminate or forestall the inevitable attrition of clicking a glorified Excel Spreadsheet a few times a day, and that has to be there before joining an alliance, or I'll just get bored and declare war on everyone, friend and foe alike. Which is kind of useless when I have like 1 soldier and 1 aircraft. And thus, because I know myself: I must first find an inner goal that keeps me puttering around in my nation link, a goal strong enough that I don't go "Oh man, these objectives are boring and I give no craps about buying infrastructure, but this goal of ______ (whatever) is fun and now I want to throw money at Sheepy." That being the case, I'm open to suggestions: what do you find fun when clicking your country spreadsheet? Clearly, many of you have fun with international relations, with alliances and wards, but forget all that in this thread. All games of this nature have alliances. What I'm curious about is: What do you find fun about your own country?
  18. Never mind. The problem was with Microsoft Outlook prematurely deciding that this was junk mail, and refusing to let me change any of the spam filters or to otherwise have any agency over my own inbox. I'll be getting a new e-mail account, but for now I was able to work around by reading the mail as a webpage.
  19. Hello. Oddly enough, I was able to verify my forum account, which I did first, and then I created a nation, and now my nation verification e-mail is blank. I'm not sure what to do about this.
