As We Expand, Citizens Express Their Feelings

As with the Empress, our citizens have also expressed mixed reactions to the Western Campaign. We've interviewed random people in Omni, questioning them on what they really feel. And I have to say some of the reactions surprised me.

"I think the Empress was too light. I had a friend who was shot in the campaign and he's going to be told the soldier who shot could possibly be just pushed to do free labor? I mean, why not just kick them all out?"

"I can get why the Empress wanted to make sure people we would be possibly be neighbors with feel as though they just won't be second class citizens. I mean, no one really wants this to escalate into something worse. With that being said, I do think the Empress could have harsher with the punishment."

"I'm actually going to join in the rebuilding effort, and I say I'm okay with the extra helping hands. I mean, we know the Empress will supply Wintery Delta soldiers to watch them like a damn hawk, and it will be met with a 'you twitch funny, you're dead' approach. Besides, it wasn't her intention to fight whatsoever. She knew it was going to happen, but she didn't want it to happen, so salvaging some type of good faith in those we had to fight (and we did start this people) might be a good idea."

"Not surprised she went this route, Empress Amaryllis has always been too damn soft in some cases. I mean, her son was shot trying be peaceful and she only kicks him out?"

"We wanted this, we deal with the consequences, and that means showing some type of kindness to those who were technically defending themselves. Besides, the rebuilding will be shorter and settling westward can come sooner. Planning on moving there with my fiancée to start our roots."

Some were happy with what the Empress has planned, some weren't. I, for one, have to stay neutral in the hopes of journalist integrity, but I have to say, I wonder what this will mean for our kingdom's future.
