Hi all. I’m a political science and journalism student, and I love writing. It is in this light that I had been planning and I've concluded to establish this blog -- the Orbis Times® This blog will be well managed and highly standardized to bring news that matter to you. All news brought will meet the regulation of blogging rules. Although other categories may be added in the near future, the following positions are open to applicants. These are paid positions. If you don’t desire pay, but just want to write, you’re welcome to apply!
Sheepy's Development: This category will run by an assistant. The main responsibility of the assistant will be to follow Sheepy's Development so as to inform players of new updates, changes, and more.
(Position filled) Alliances & International Affairs: This category is headed by Golen ll. The assistant will follow alliances' and nations' affairs, such as wars, trades, agreements, ranking, and more!
Letter to the Editor: This category would be run by me, the Editor-in-Chief. This is meant for people to send letters, for them to voice their concerns on anything.
(Position filled) The Institute for Advancement: The Institute for Advancement is headed by TBYSTAR. Its intention is to serve as a suggestions to the game, and guides for nation building. Moreover, it is meant to bring intellectual people to discuss other important issues pertaining to policy, development, conflict resolution, and more.
Center for Debating: The Center for Debating will be run by a director. S/he will regularly seek two people to engage in fruitful and meaningful debates on issues, P&W or real life related. Prior discussions will be had with the Editor-in-Chief before two people are sought. Rules and other guidelines would be explained to both parties before setting up and starting the debate.
Lifestyle: This category will be run by an assistant. This is the broadest topic of the blog, covering a range of issues outside of P&W, such as food, gaming, health, relationships, sports, and much more!
Salary: Salary is based on responsibilities. Bonuses will be given, at my discretion. Changing of salary will need no discussion, however, new salary will be posted.
During application stage, the applicants will have two options of pay, daily or weekly, with the monthly being fixed. Applicants who choose to get pay daily will get pay daily, applicants who choose to get pay weekly will wait every week to get pay.
Assistant for Sheepy's Development:
$3,500 per day. (26,500 per week.) $88,000 per month.
Assistant for Alliances & International Affair:
$5,750 per day. ($42,250 per week) $110,000 per month
Assistant for Lifestyle:
$6,000 per day. (44,000 per week) $115,000 per month.
Director of Center for Debating:
$ 4,000 per day. ($30,000 per week.) $100,000 per month.
Send intention via inbox, with the subject line "Applying for Orbis Times position" and a brief message of "I want to be part of the Orbis Times team." From there, the application process will start, which will include in-game name, nation link, desired position, desired pay (daily or weekly), and reason for wanting the desired position. Once that stage is passed, some explaining will be done pertaining to responsibilities, policies, guidelines, and rules.
