Operation Hurricane

The Pan-Caribbean Alliance was an obvious testing ground for amphibious warfare. It was composed of a chain of islands, was a dictatorship, and was diplomatically isolated. There would be little civilian resistance, as the military junta in control of the nation was weak and unpopular. The military build-up was incomplete, but an industrialised military with a large navy would not be worked particularly hard for this victory

A blockade of the islands was soon established, and an intense naval and aerial bombardment campaign was unleashed on potential hindrances to the advance, such as bunkers. Marines would make landfall near Havana and Santo Domingo. Once Caribbean troops were tied down fighting the marines in west Cuba, landings would be made near Santiago de Cuba. Puerto Rico was to be secured by amphibious landing too. Aerial strikes would be used on reinforcing Caribbean troops while beachheads were established for the army. Civilian casualties were to be minimised.

Initial Landings

Havana: 8,000

Santo Domingo: 5,000

Santiago de Cuba: 6,000

Puerto Rico: 3,000

The Central Americano Protection Force numbering on 100k personel. They were armed with arms of the Great War. The Army reaction to the invasion of the American army is to peform tactical retreats to prove easier defensive actions on less frontlines and making the invading soldiers take causalities on the natural enemy. The army,  even though it took a brunt by bombardments,  it changed it's tactics on using the terrain and cover of green and brown of trees and earth. With the small navy destroyed,  an action of 'sailors to the front' was initiated. The Army is fending off Havana,  Santiago Domingo and Santiago de Cuba while Puerto Rico's defence force was retreated with civilian ships and clothing and ditching a lot of weaponery into the waters to prevent being captured as they were participants in the army. While fending off the urban areas,  the army is focused on making the infrastructure lose it's worthwileness and minimize causailties. The American armies manage to land on the coastal parts of the cities, the enemy counter-measures were night-raids,  road sabotages and furthermore which can be considered as Partisan Actions. The Sailors whom were put on groumd combat acted as scouts whom would report enemy movements. They would hide underground or high up behind walls of buildings. They were poorly armed with only a pistol. The army positions were either in the outside of the city hiding in the green or as the sailor scouts,  underground or hiding behind infrastructure. The defensive armies of each city acted independent with a seperate commander for each army as the cause of poor communication. Following the Armies of Central America were some Vets from the Liberation War of the Central American Island whom either gave up their weapons because they were too old to fight but had a desire to beat off the invader and some Veterans whom have an army pension but are in an age fit for combat have joined the fight against the invader as officers.
