Ohayōgozaimasu! Welcome to episode 3 of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN! I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. It's the first episode of the new year, so let's get right to it!

Getting straight to the point, Happy New Year, everyone! Rokkenjima saw an overwhelming amount of you come out to ring in the new year with us in cities across the nation. I was setup with RNN here in Evatrice all night long, and had so much fun! We once again wish you all a healthy and happy new year.

Moving onto news, the Witch Council announced this morning that a deal had been reached between Rokkenjima and areas of the Khabarovsk Krai of Russia that allowed these territories to officially join Rokkenjima. The Council stated afterward that the expansion itself wasn't much, especially compared to how much other nations are expected to expand in the coming month, but that it would be "the only bit of expansion Rokkenjima plans to do for the foreseeable future."

Lastly, we would like to announce that Rokkenjima's Department of Foreign Affairs will officially open tomorrow, on the second of January. However, applications for an embassy within Rokkenjima, which will be located in its capital of Evatrice, may be submitted as early as today. The application will also grant foreign citizens permission to enter Rokkenjima so long as they present their passport and personal ID upon arrival, and agree to a background check by Rokkenjima's security. Buildings for embassies have already been set aside in Evatrice, so the process of moving in can be as quick and convenient as possible. The Department of Foreign Affairs has also released an official blacklist of nations who are not permitted to request an embassy, which can be found below. If your nation is not on the list, you're good to go.

Foreign Affairs Blacklist:

  • People's Republic of China
  • Republic of France
  • Socialist Ottoman Empire
  • Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

That's all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN! Until next time, ja ne!

When the seagulls cried, none were left alive.
