Mogar
Entertainment of the masses was one of the most effective strategies to quell dissent and manipulate public thinking, and so extreme entertainment was brought into this world. On an island off the coast of Africa, one hundred people would be dropped onto a recreation of an island with the population of about 5,000. Scattered across the island were vehicles, weapons, and medical supplies. Using a "smart gas" made up of nanites that could be controlled as to its location, a circle would gradually get smaller and smaller until there was only one left after a total of an hour. The actual show's running time was 4 hours with commercials to allow for the numerous individual storylines to be played out for the audience in close enough to the proper order of their location on the timeline, and afford the audience time to make emotional connections to the finalists. The participants would be made up of volunteers and prisoners and enemies of the corporation. The victor would receive a cash prize and their freedom, if course even though wasn't immediately obvious to those at home the game was weighted to ensure a volunteer won. :Public: Quote Tonight at 8pm, catch the first episode of "African Battlegrounds", a modern gladiator contest to display who is really the most resourceful. One hundred enter Takami but only one will walk off the island." Mogar
The desert on the outskirts of Casblanca were selected as a potential new battleground, and the corporate military already in Tangiers and the surrounding area expanded further to afford them control over the area if it were actually required. Supposedly unknown forces of a higher power were claiming that the corporate expansions into Seoul and Tokyo were illegitimate so the fallback option of expanding further in the Med region were put into effect. In the event these map gods were in fact correct and were not overruled by the even higher powers that be upon Orbis, they would be selected as a reasonable choice to spread the company's influence. The deserts were not of much strategic value but Casablanca was a lovely city. Either way this would make the final expansion for the month of august for the company, but tomorrow was a new month.
