Imperial Tales: Chapter 5: The Evil in the North [Closed, Fangs of Hell event end]

[Cheonsa]

04 June 2045

 

It was a sunny day. Cheonsa was playing in the palace gardens with his second wife, Somi, and her daughter, Hyesoo as Kaguya held the prince in her arms, gently rocking him whilst sitting on a nearby bench. Suddenly, a shinobi came in from the nearest door and knelt before the Winged Saviour. "Your Imperial Majesty! We have reports of the creature you seek. It lives far north in Scotland, in lands belonging to Thundera. It appears that it is exactly the creature you thought it would be..It's...a draugr." said the shinobi, still kneeling. "Is that so? Alright, you know the drill. Send the coordinates to Cinderella, I'm going there." "But-Your Majesty..if it's as powerful as we have estimated, stopping it would be a dangerous task!" "That's exactly why I'm dropping in instead of sending any of my men there. With the power bestowed upon me by God, nothing can stop me." the Heavenly Emperor replied with a wide grin on his face before turning back to his family. "I'm going for little field trip, until I return, you're in charge, Kaguya, just as usual." The tiny woman stood up and nodded "Yes, oppa. Be careful." "I will." Saying his goodbyes to his beloved women and children, he went inside the palace and into his throne room.

 

He sat on his throne and waved his hand, making several holographic screens appear before him. On those screens were his close allies, Nihon Emperor Younggi, Akaatan Emperor Darth Saarai, and the hacker Cinderella. "Good morning, folks, sorry for interrupting your daily activities, but I have an important mission for us today." greeted the Heavenly Emperor from his throne room.

[Ikhan]

 "Yes, this is Emperor Taral, what do you need, Cheonsa?" Saarai said while sitting in his throne, which was suspended over Kal'kad. "Actually, I can tell what you need. Your emotions betray you. And before you ask, yes, I will assist in this matter. I need to get these visions off of my mind." he added while he held his old helmet. "I can be there soon." he finished before ending the call. Upon ending the call, he left for the cloning labs of the Spire, where he met with the chief cloning technician.

 "Ah, Emperor Taral, you are always welcome. Why might you wish to speak with us?" The technician asked, his body grey and his neck long.

 "You know why I am here." Saarai said.

 "Yes yes, right this way." the technician said. "I'll have you know, I don't approve of this attempt. Last time someone did this, it backfired terribly, I had to clean for weeks!" he added.

"I don't care about last time. I wish to be done with this." Saarai said. "Is the body ready?" he asked.

"Of course, my lord." the technician said. He went off to prepare the clone. After some time, he was ready, and Saarai had finished preparing for the transfer of his spirit. As he prepared, the lights dimmed, but did not loose power, before completely shutting off. At the same time, a loud roar was heard across the planet as nature itself retreated in terror. Then suddenly, Saarai's body collapsed, lifeless, and his new body awoke, his eyes black as the void.

 "Lord Saarai, can you hear me?" the technician asked.

 "Yes... Now let me out of this tank before I do so myself." Saarai said.

 "Of course, my lord." the technician said before releasing him.

 "My robe." Saarai said before being handed the robe. "Thank you. I will put in a good word for you later." he said after putting the robe on. Then, he walked out towards the spire, where a shuttle was waiting to take him to Orbis III. He pulled his lightsabers to himself and boarded the shuttle, which took off for Orbis III.

Throne Room, Imperial Palace, Shin Tokyo, Nihon

 

"What's the matter, my friend?", the Emperor asked while watering the flowers in his garden. "Ah yes, no need to explain further. I already sensed it", he said. "Of course, i'll assist you. I knew this will happen. I'll be there as soon as i can" he finished his talk and ended the call.

He put the watering can on the shelf, while a footstep can be heard, coming behind the garden door. "is there something that i should know, oppa?" , a sweet voice, came out from Empress Chae, first wife of the Emperor. "yes, we need to gather in the main room. quick. call Empress Yewon to be there too", he added. "okay oppa", she answered.

They both walked down the stairs to the main room, fortunately, Empress Yewon was already there, playing with the kids. "hi, oppa, chae" she said. "we need to talk", he said.

Two of the empress sat in the tatami floor, surrounding the table, while the kids whom Yewon played with were brought to the bedroom by the Emperor. The Emperor sat down and sighs, then started to talk.

"okay..so..i've an important mission, and i'll be leaving the house for..an unspecified time. this mission is for the sake of this world. i'm gonna leave the national task to you, Chae. and government tasks to you, Yewon. promise me, protect our nation while i'm out", he said. "yes, oppa" both the Empress nodded. "and...protect our family. you can use your powers if you have to", he added. 

The Emperor quickly stood up and entered his bedroom, then to the closet. The Emperor put his hand into the mirror. The mirror opened and revealed a small, secret room. He entered the secret room and the mirror closed by itself. The room suddenly went down, really fast, heading to the secret treasure room far below the ground. There, he met a couple of his Imperial guards,asking for his need. "may i help you, your majesty?", one of the guard asked.

"prepare my ship, i'm going out. i need Kenichi and Yotaro to guard me on the trip", he said. As he commanded, two guards followed him while the others prepare the ship. "here's your robe, your majesty", Kenichi gave him his red robe as he walked to the treasure room.

He wore his red robe and as he arrived in the treasure room, a couple of guards stood around an empty glass-treasure box.

He put his hands on the box and the box opened, revealing a sword with an abnormal shape inside. He took the sword and slowly saying, "now..it's time for you to act, again"

He put the sword on his back, and he entered his own starfighter with two guards. As he sat on the cockpit, the ramp slowly closes.

As the ramp closed, a large garage door opened in front of the starfighter, revealing a hidden runway leading to the palace backyard. The ship took off from the garage, heading to Mutiara, the capital city of Amenria.

 Saarai's shuttle arrived at Orbis III, in the city of Mutiara, in the nation known as Amenria. As it approached the city, it could be seen that there were crowds of citizens forming to watch the shuttle, which was an Imperialis-class shuttle in a silver finish with gold trim, approach the city. As soon as a viable site to land was found, the shuttle turned around to fly towards it. After a few minutes, the shuttle landed and a ramp was lowered. Before Saarai exited, four Imperial guards and two Imperial Shadow Guards exited the vehicle, where they waited for Saarai to exit. Upon exiting, Saarai walked in the middle of the group, his shadow guards at his sides. They took an elevator to the surface and walked down the road, the guards weapons ready. As they walked, it was seen that there were crowds there to greet the emperor, something that Saarai did not mind too much. Eventually, they reached the Palace where Cheonsa resided, and Saarai's guards, save for his shadow guards, were ordered to remain outside.

  "I presume this meeting is due to the 'fangs of hell'?" Saarai said. "If it is, I can have my forces ready to be deployed." he added.

The Imperial starfighter arrived in the city of Mutiara, Amenria. The starfighter flew over the city, headed to the Pearl Palace. As it approached the palace, the Imperial starfighter landed on the front yard of the palace. As it landed, a couple of guards came and surrounded the aircraft. As the cockpit opened, an amenrian guard shouted to the Emperor, "the heavenly emperor is waiting for you, sir!". The Emperor exited the aircraft by walking down the ramp, and told the Nihonese Imperial Guard to wait inside the starfighter. He asked one of the amenrian guards, "now, where's he? shall we go now?". "yes sir, this way", one of Amenrian imperial guard escorted him to the place where Cheonsa waited.

[Cheonsa]

"Ah, welcome, my friends, please, have a seat." the Heavenly Emperor greeted the two foreign leaders as they entered the throne room. He pressed a button on his throne and two seats appeared from the floor. "Yes, this is about the Fangs of Hell and we have found their leader. A draugr in northern Scotland. As much as I hate to say so, Saarai, we can't just deploy our military there, it would draw too much unwanted attention. I will go there myself, and I suggest you to do the same. We don't want to scare the locals and ruin our relations with Thundera now, do we?"

[Ikhan]

  "I see... Well, in any case, I can have a squad of commandos infiltrate the facility they are located at while we advance on foot." Saarai said. "If it is any help, the Dread Masters- my new military organization." He added. With that, six individuals in red robes with masks obscuring their faces and slightly altering their voices.

 "We... are the Dread Masters. From our wound bleeds our memories... our names... our ambitions. We have tasted oblivion and it drowns us. Like this world, we are changing." the leader of the group said as he walked into the room. "We are the Emperor's favored servants, and we idolize loyalty over all save for... fear..." he added.

 "I apologize for this interruption, my friends. I did not expect them to enter this soon. These are my favored servants, as you heard. Their old names are lost, but they have new ones. The one that was speaking, his name is Raptus. Over there is Bestia, and that one is Brontes, known as the 'Architect of Fear'. Next to him is Calphayus, and next to him is Styrak. Finally, there is Tyrans, the strategist of the group." Saarai said. "Please, just wait outside while we talk." he told the Dread Masters, who did as he asked. "Now, what were we talking about? Oh, right, the Fangs of Hell, and this... Draugr, I think you called it. Is there any more information you can provide?" he asked. "You know what? Tell me while we are inbound." he said.

He took a sit in the seat, while trying to sit comfortably, Cheonsa gave an explanation of the mission, and talked to Saarai, who sits on his left. After Cheonsa ended his sentence, Younggi suddenly asked, "Wait, a draugr?", "isn't it an undead? i mean--how on orbis such a mere undead being so powerful to control an army?", he added.

He's being skeptical, just to check things before he use his powers. Somehow, he became worried after having a bad dream last night.

"tell me more. No, tell us more", he said.

 "Undead, huh? Sounds like it shouldn't be that much of a problem. Only problem is that certain forms of force abilities won't be able to affect him, like pushes, pulls, and repulses. Lightning and the sort should be able to work, as they physically affect it's body, but I can't be certain about others. Anyways, it should be no problem. Now, onto the glaring question, why come out of hiding now? Why kill an Akaatan governor and attempt to assassinate me twice, one nearly succeeding? Perhaps it is afraid, or maybe it simply has nothing else to loose." Saarai said. "Whatever the case may be, we need to strike, and do so soon, unless you want this planet to be ruled by the undead." he added, looking across the table to Cheonsa.
 

[Cheonsa]

"You're right, both of you are. This creature is a powerful undead, powerful enough to bend the will of some vampires. We don't know why he kills people all over the globe. All we know is that it's big and mean. We don't know the exact location of his hideout either, though intel says they have an outpost in Cromarty, a village in northern Scotland. The plan is to go to there, find the outpust, and capture as many Fangs of Hell as possible so we can extract information. Once we find the draugr..you and your..friends.." Cheonsa turns to Saarai "Can join us in defeating it. How does that sound?"

[Ikhan]

 "That sounds about right, I must say." Sutta replied as he looked around the room. "If you would excuse me, I would like to get my shuttle ready for takeoff." He added before walking out for a second. Upon exiting the building, he pulled out a small commlink and activated it. "Prepare my shuttle. I am sending you the coordinates now." Sutta said over the commlink.

 "Roger that. The shuttle will be ready soon, my lord." The pilot said over the commlink. After that, Sutta walked back in and took his seat. 

 "Where were we?" Sutta asked as he took his seat.

[Cheonsa]

"So, all you need to do is summon the dreadlords or something once we find the draugr. Younggi and I will be doing the adventuring since we look less....distracting than you. You'll be connected to our communications for the operation and my good friend Cinderella will be guiding us. I hope you don't mind a female voice coming from someone far away talking to you once in a while."

[Ikhan]

 "Alright, I understand completely. Besides, more than likely, it will notice me before either of you gets to it's location if I were to come." Sutta said as he looked across the table.

[Han Young Gi]

Younggi looked at these two men talking and then he sighed. "okay..so..when will we go? seems there's not much time left for us", he asked. 

[Cheonsa]

"Good question, Younggi." said Cheonsa, smiling and activating his communication device. We'll go right now. "Cinderella, please prepare a flight for me and Younggi in a regular airport in a regular plane, please." A female voice chimed in "Gotcha, you better hurry though." Cheonsa opened a large window and assumed the first stage of his Celestial form. Unfolding his wings and looking back at the other leaders, Cheonsa smiled again and said, "Alright, gents, shall we fly to the airport?" 

[Ikhan]

"Very well. Lets do that, I suppose." Sutta said before using the force to levitate himself- he was flying, essentially. "Come along, Han." he added before turning around and heading through the door.
