Christian Lindner Posted January 8, 2017 Share Posted January 8, 2017 (Will be Updated Weekly and will serve as the Official Page of my Nation) Unified European Republic National Times History of the Republic: The Unified European Republic or The Republic for short was founded half a century ago during the collapse of a few European powers in the area. The Republic was at first a small unrecognized country that was self governing but autonomous. A rebel faction in the Southern area which at first was thought to be eradicated by the Republic rose up a took over a portion of the land in the south. But after six brutal years of fighting, the White Concordance Treaty was signed to end the war and give independence to the southern region. Which caused a few other little rebellions to break out. These events led to a full scale break up of the union into small independent nations. After a few years went by. Two of the new nations reunited, and created a stronger central government for the Republic. The Republic eventually led a conquest to recapture the previous lands. But abided by the treaty of the White Concordance Treaty and left a few lands unclaimed. After the fall of the Communist Nation to the North known as Poland, the Republic swiftly moved in to conquer those areas increasing its land and economy almost two times in which it had started. After a few years of the new existence, the new Republic changed up the entire structure of the union to increase its Democratic standards and remove more power from the Executive Branch and place it back into the power of the Legislative Branch.. The new UE Senate was formed served as the main legislative Branch and removed the void Imperial Council. The Office of the Supreme Chancellor was created to get rid of the position of the President of the Council. The Republic Territory was divided into Sectors and given self governance and were to appoint or elect Senators to serve in the new UE Senate, the Supreme Chancellor was to be elected by the Senate directly from its members. Following the change, the world started to recognize the Republic as a legitimate nation. The Capital City was also selected to be Budapest and is its own Sector in the Republic. Also, nice post) A building in the Capital down the street from the Senate Building is currently being cleared out and may be renovated to your ambassadors liking's for you to move in and create your Embassy. (OOC: Thanks man, I appreciate the support.) Kressnian Yugoslavia is quite pleased to have a new neighbor to the north, and is more than happy to open up diplomatic relations with the UER on behalf of the Republic of Kressnia. A building across the street from the Chernigov Embassy is being opened up for your nation as well. We can not wait to meet both of your nation's Ambassadors. Also I forgot to mention, your ambassadors are allowed special clearance to sit in and discuss during voting discussions during Senate Meetings, but will not be able to vote. So if something is up for discussion and it involves your nation or in anyway effects you, you may sit in and give your two sense on the discussion. Many topics are going on in the world as of now. We have already accomplished our Energy Crisis by researching and successfully introducing a self sustaining Nuclear Fusion Reactor on a mass scale. A next topic is to reclaim our once lost lands to the south, the Separatists scum known as the ‘Confederacy of Southern European Nations’ are becoming an issue with inciting a panic in our streets about the true power of the Republic. For years, the Order of the Knights Templar has protected our nation, but, “Knights†are not large enough in raw power to protect our entire nation. New military forces are needed, we will look forward to future opportunities. Let it be known, even without guns being fired, this is a war. We WILL win this WAR! We will reconvene next month, for a future discussion on our current state.
