Think of this as a movie where the director shows you certain details to make you understand the plot, but leaves out just enough to keep you guessing...that is what this is. [in Novus Statehouse] Max is monitoring the situation in Novus Duo while balancing a few different sparks of resistance on other Novus islands. Meanwhile, the situation in Novus Duo continues to heat up and now he has a news agency reporting on the problem and broadcasting it to the world. This hasn't been the best week for Max or Novus. While sitting at his desk in the Statehouse doing paperwork he saw the UWN broadcast and then the response from Umbrella asking to get in contact with them. Max has been laying off communications and has ordered Novus Arma and other Novus Officials to do the same - only communicate via our closed communication systems, unreadable by any outside source without clearance. [Novus-Umbrella Communicator] A few months back Novus installed a brand-new state of the art communications system that adapts the best human technology paired with technology we have sourced from alien tech we have been studying. With this new system we have the ability to create specific channels for communicating out of the pubic eye. We designed a Novus-Umbrella Communicator simply for nation-nation communication. [..back at the Novus Statehouse] Mad max calls his advisor, Theron, in the office. He instructs Theron to send out the communicator page to alert Umbrella. If Umbrella has their communicator on, they will receive the alert immediately and contact back when they will be able to talk. Within a matter of minutes, Max receives word that Ada Wong from the Umbrella Corporation is ready to speak. [Transcript] Max: Thank you for making yourself available, sorry I haven't been in touch. Ada: Max, the worry is not needed, we are sorry your state is going through this....issue, but less move pass the formalities, we know each other and we know what we need to do. Max: You're right Ada - what is your ETA to Novus? Ada: We have been ready to ship since we first heard of the riots in Novus Duo. Our staff there advised us of rumors they heard and indicated they thought it was going to turn violent. Max: Alright, we will patch you in to our Novus Arma communications so you can coordinate your landing with them, to ensure the safety of your units, lets talk Project Christina. Ada: .....this line is secure, right? Max: Of course. Ada: The facility that was targeted was unfortunate. Not only for our join operations, but for the citizens on Novus Duo. Project Christina was in full scale at the time of the explosion, what we fear is a possible leak. Max: I thought the facilities for that operation were well below the surface? What could be the concern. Ada: The concern is, Max, that the operation involved was working on producing a gas. Gas is easier to transport and easier to work with over liquid. This team was working on that formulation in that facility and since the explosion we have had zero communication with the Project Christina team, this is a problem, THIS is why we are sending our units in. If this gets out.... Max: Ada, calm down...we have been working together for quite some time. We will get to that facility and we will figure out whats going on. Let me know when you are close, I'd like you to come to my ship first. We will be sitting just off the east coast of Novus Duo. Only use this communicator and do not take this matter in your own hands, we are in this together. We don't know how far or how bad... Ada: I'll send notification of our arrival, we will see you soon. Good night. Max: Good night Ms. Wong.
