kowalski
https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=94530 So basically, I'm in this war with Yisrael and whilst my army is superior to his (60k + 1000 tanks vs 50k + 0 tanks), my war timeline goes as follows: Utter Failure, Immense Triumph, Utter Failure. My gasoline and ammunition reserves were enough, so that's not it. this is basically the Yom Kippur tank war all over again
Administrators Alex Posted February 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 14, 2016 It happens - It basically revolves around a few dice throws. Statistically, you'd be favored to win that battle, but it doesn't always work out that way (whatever your army commander is named - blame him for blundering away a few battles) 1 Quote Is there a bug? kowalski
Yeah- but how would these game mechanics cause either an Utter Failure or Immense Triumph, which are on the complete opposite edges of the ''success-spectrum''? I'd accept a Pyrrhic victory or moderate success... Oh well, RNG it is.

I'd accept a Pyrrhic victory or moderate success... Oh well, RNG it is. Like I said, it's a series of 3 rolls - if you lose all 3 rolls, it's an utter failure. If you win all 3, it's an immense triumph. You're right, and it seems most likely that you may have gotten a moderate success or even a Pyrrhic victory before an utter failures, but it seems luck just wasn't on your side.
