In the past few days a Containment breach has occurred near site -███. The fallout affected several alliances in Orbis and we are proud to state that we have stood by our allies. That said, we feel that GodFury’s way of running an alliance does not match with our methods of containing anomalous objects which is our objective above all else. We wish them the best but suggest a revaluation of their containment protocols to prevent future breaches. We officially announce the cancellation of our treaty. We will need 72 hours to move our equipment and personnel out of GodFury jurisdiction.

I feel quite insulted. You do not have the clearance to have a shady spy network it. Only The Foundation should run these kinds of operations. Please hand all spying assets over to the professionals.

    End if transmission...

Ps. I love a good spy network but, have you ever heard of compartmentalizing intel? No one spy should know about the others let alone all of them.

Congratulations to our friends and allies Rose with their new and promising relationship with House Stark. To House Stark a box labeled “HERE BE DRAGONS” has disappeared from Foundation custody. In being well versed in dragons we were wondering if you knew it’s location. If you do please return said item to our custody. Best of luck to both parties.

Yeah, I'd figured that was probably the case. Best to audit him thoroughly though, if he is guilty of infiltrating against the Foundation then reassignment to class-D personnel status would be appropriate, no?

SCP-173's room needs cleaned IF he is a spy.

And while it's a bit odd that "Connor RK800" opted for nuclear power in a coal producing nation at his score range, even that's perfectly explainable as just someone that uses the market a lot.

Nuclear is standard for everyone in our alliance at his level. He is on nuclear due to our policies.

Tfw you get a protectorate from two different spheres, sign an M-level and then criticize people for standing in the middle and signing Mutual defense treaties. TFP despite some drama, has remained fairly consistent about where it wants to be and what it plans to do. As for the sheer number of treaties they have, well they aren't playing this game in the same way the majority of the community is, they aren't playing to 'win'. TFP basically signs its friends, with rare exception and there are no limits on those.

Also because you confused Odp with Mdp. R.I.P

I’ve been friends with both Bad Company and Rose for a very long time going back to when they were allies. Both me and my alliance are close with them. If you look at what I said I was referring to the treaty web which my alliance is not on. I was talking about other alliance not TFP... May I also point out I liked what TFP did and didn’t mention their MDP or other ODPs directly on purpose. TFPs treaties are clean and they are close with all their allies. That’s a solid FA and I didn’t say otherwise. I said haveing a long list of distant allies is pointless. That does not apply to TFP in any way as I already said they are close to their allies. I was not attacking TFP I was applauding them...

Please read posts clearly before attacking someone on something they didn’t say.

Ps. Solid meme though but, you kinda squished my pfp and forgot to wipe the background I suggest the app photo cut out it’s solid and free.

I gotta stay in character for a second. The treaty web has always been a mess. I’m having a hard time picking a sphere. Protectorates are typically the cancer that stunts the growth of alliances maturity. They run crying to their protectors rather than learning how to stand on their own feet and handle adversity.

I want to be the treaty janitor this game deserves.

I 100% with everything you said

Shoulda stayed in character, you say less stupid crap.

Protectorates aren't what keep the game alive. That's rubbish to anybody with a clue how actual FA and political strategy works. There's an old saying, and it's true - TEst is the ultimate example of it; Everyone has an ODP with everyone. If protectorates ceased being a thing, all that would happen is that needless micros not worth actually fighting to protect would die. If somebody goes knocking on GodFury's door there, say it's Pantheon for example, all it takes is GF being friendly with big alliance who figures "yanno what, frick pantheon and their bullying.", and then it's either back down or a big war.

Protectorates are literal cancer. ODPs and ODoAP's are also worthless trash. The latter should be removed, and replaced with a treaty that signifies what anyone signing them actually means. Call it a friendship treaty, cause that's all either of those means. Protectorates don't need to exist because everyone has an ODoAP with everyone.

I'd prefer a world where wars ended in actual demands instead of white peace. I'm sure someone will get all spooked over the though of billions being demanded. But really, i'd want it just to force people to get rid of the actual paper protectorate trail.

And, this ignores micros without big protectorates who still exist for months without being erased and annihilated. Just ask @Ukunaka for proof.
It also further ignores that micros aren't the lifeblood of the game. Most nations aren't in alliances, period. Most of them are inactive, actually. Of the nations in alliances, most are in alliances that are not micros. At worst, they're minor powers, barely strong enough to take their own protectorates on. This list goes as far down as TUE at #33, who recently was passed by their now ex-protectorate Animation Domination - at least in score. Alot of people might still, and do think of TUE as a micro, and in some ways they are, when comparing to, say, BK. Compared to actual micros though, powers even lesser and more lacking, is when you realize that in all honesty, TUE is just a minor power, same with most of it's blocmates, actually.

These alliances, these minor, to major, to great, to hegemonic (*cough* TKR *cough*) powers are what make the game. Most active players are in an alliance, and most of those are in alliances that are at worst, on terms of TUE. TUE is no powerhouse, but it sure as hell isn't United Socialist Nations at #50.

So please, off yer high horse, mate. You aren't that important, or necessary, in just being a micro. Your existence is not detrimental, but nor is it particularly beneficial. That's what being a micro IS ABOUT - it's being irrelevant, neither good nor bad, just there, even if no one cares; and no one does. Because the majority of active people, who do, or try to do anything, aren't in micros.

As for spheres, those aren't going anywhere. It's just with Syndisphere making a comeback these days it seems, IQ still kicking, and TKR with it's own little enclave, they need to remain as i stated them. Separate. Work together, sure, but always separate. Three factions is more interesting than 2, and hopefully KT/TGH can find a way to make it a real 4-way.

First I need to say I agree with 90% of what you said. Especially on the friendship treaties as that would simplify a lot of the game and clean up the hell that is the micro world. Now that my position is clear I’ll reply to what I diagreed with. On both me getting out of character and being in a micro, I got out of character to detach myself from my alliance in saying what I said. That was my personal view of the treaty web. I’m not gonna argue for micros being good alliances or “the lifeblood of the game” that would be insane. I don’t think that being in a micro or a top 10 alliance should validate or devalidate your opinion though. Are micros irrelevant in FA outside the micro world, yes 100% but that doesn’t mean their members hold any less value and as you pointed out with AD micros won’t always be micros so a micro irrelevant now won’t be in the future. On another note you rightfully disagreed with me when I said half the game would die without protectorates. That was quite vague and should have been clearer on my part. When I said that I meant half THE GAME not the player base. A good chunk of the games player interaction is in the micro world. Most of the upper alliances focus on growth unless attacked or attacking and when this happens the game gets a good spike in interaction but it fizzles out to long NAPs. In the micro world and it is a chaotic world with a lot of problems but, there are less stakes in doing something as Camelot, La Mafia and, Typhon did. I wasn’t claiming micros are great alliances that would be incredibly dumb to say. I’m claiming they have less restrictions making it so they can do something without worrying starting world wars. Micros rarely defend them selves usually relying on their big boy friends to save them so even the larger alliances spend a lot of time in the micro world for good or bad. Now that’s all I disagree with everything else in my opinion is spot on well said and well argued.

In our mission to locate contain SCP-1715 GodFury has become an increasingly important partner. They were the ones that helped us contain SCP-[redacted] when the power hungry alliance [redacted] attempted to use it to take down not only The Foundation but reality itself. We thank GodFury for being amazing allies and know this is the beginning of a successful and long partnership!

You must believe yourself clever. You refer to this “Time master” as a him to hide the truth. We know you have SCP-187 in your possession. We know that it is the entity you refer to as the “Time master”. Her abilities are dangerous and should not be used by non Foundation personnel. You are messing with forces you can and will not understand. Return SCP-187 to our custody immediately or face termination...

Descending cloud formations affected by SCP-858

    Item #: SCP-858

    Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Three samples of contaminated precipitation are to be maintained within a storage locker in the Infectious Wing of Research Site-██. Reports of "cloud iridescence" are to be tracked until the likely area of precipitation can be identified and evacuated. Cover stories involving tornado activity are to be prepared and distributed afterwards, with area cleanup to consist of evaporation of contaminated water via heat lamp.

Objects and subjects affected by SCP-858 are to be detained and destroyed on-site, incinerated, and their remains allowed to escape Earth orbit.

Description: SCP-858 is a migrating noctilucent cloud which affects cirrus cloud formations beneath it. Presence of SCP-858 can be easily identified by the iridescent refraction within the cirrus formations, which- once affected- descend until precipitation ensues. Contact with precipitation from affected clouds immediately and permanently alters solid matter on contact. While apparently nonreactive with gasses and liquids, solid state reactions cause the molecular bonds of affected items to act as a vector, conducting the effect until the entirety of affected objects or organisms is repelled by, rather than attracted by, gravitational force. Porous materials act as a secondary vector, as affected water trapped in the substance in no way loses its effectiveness1 Barring sufficiently sturdy objects secured to sufficiently massive objects embedded or otherwise secured to Earth's surface, this results in the affected object accelerating away from the Earth's surface at 9.8m/s2. Upon contact with SCP-858 itself at roughly 80km above sea level, affected objects vanish.

Encounter Summary 858-A: First encounter with SCP-858 was a meteorological survey aircraft passing through an affected cloud formation. When the aircraft was affected by SCP-858, the pilot, Captain █. Finch, was able to invert the aircraft and maintain flight for several hours; when the plane proved unable to land, Captain Finch instructed the crew to bail out. He then continued to fly the affected aircraft until it ran out of fuel, at which time he abandoned the craft and it entered free-fall- away from the Earth's surface. Captain Finch contracted hypothermia and frostbite due to the severe altitude at which he bailed out, but he has since made a full recovery.

The plane's lateral velocity was sufficient to carry it past the boundaries of SCP-858. Later reports indicated forced emergency maneuvers on the part of a Russian satellite in the trajectory of the plane's debris. No other objects have been detected passing the Kármán line2.

Finch's descriptions of the oddly colored cloud formations and their location led researchers to what remained of a small farming community outside of Xenia, Ohio. After Finch later forwarded his airline's incident report- in which the instruments showed the plane leaving Earth's atmosphere before failing completely- to a Foundation agent, an investigative team was dispatched to the location. The vehicle in which the team of six arrived was lost upon contact with damp road surfaces, but after leaping free of the vehicle, losses among initial responders were prevented, as the mass of responder hazmat suits were insufficient to overcome their occupant's weight.

Investigation revealed all previously standing structures were devastated and, along with all residents outside of cellar shelters with strong foundations, unaccounted for. Most survivors were initially unwilling to leave their cellars when responders arrived, though a family of three was lost when their footwear was saturated while crossing their lawn to greet the response team. Reports from remaining survivors aided in isolating standing water as the source of the anomalous effect, as eyewitness reports stated that survivors emerging from their basements were seen rapidly ascending into the sky, later ascertained to have been due to assuming the danger had passed once there was nothing left to ascend- rainfall was continued. Even after precipitation ceased, other vehicles arriving after the fact continued to be affected- though the tires themselves were insufficient to displace the chassis, water sprayed onto the undercarriage by centripetal force compromised the vehicles in their entirety. Those persons able to exit their vehicles were inevitably suffered the same fate- regardless of whether they survived impact or not- as without the protection the responder's hazmat suits offered, they were affected by, and lost to, SCP-858 on contact with still-wet ground surfaces. Remaining survivors were extracted following natural evaporation of the anomalous precipitate, and were treated with amnestics before being released to their surviving relatives.

Addendum: Proposals to investigate SCP-858 itself have been stymied by the extreme expense of reaching the 80km altitude of the cloud; however, plans for altering the maneuvering thrusters of a geostationary satellite- soon to be launched by Foundation front company, ██████████ Corporation- to compensate from gravitational drift away from the planet, rather than towards it, is under consideration, pending calculation of the launch date and location in concert with the position of SCP-858.
