After the start, its basically imperative to be a part of an alliance otherwise you are always open to attacks from opportunists. As a result of joining alliances, independence is stripped away from you as a nation and you are essentially relegated to the position of a local government official instead of the leader of a nation. You get taxed, your cities sometimes have to be a certain way, everyone in an alliance is out of bounds in case of major retaliation that your alliance does not want to face. You cant really make deals or ally with other people too much because their alliances do not want to implicated in a war or whatever.

Every major alliance has treaties with other alliances which means we are all interconnected and there's nothing to do except wait for someone to attack you and log in once a day to check the status.

We dont have any extra features to play with like colonisation of the Moon or Mars. After buying the NPs, just twiddle your thumbs really.

Firstly, the choice of alliance significantly influences your autonomy, after my observations(from your nation log), I see it you made some less favorable choices for your nation. allow me to propose an alternative perspective; Joining t$ grants a degree of independence, provided you achieve noteworthy results(surpassing the average standards).

Secondly, in our alliance, the levied taxes directly contribute to the future advancement of your nation. It's imperative to chose an alliance wisely as mismanagement of taxed funds could considerably affect your nation's growth trajectory.(Don't join a shit aa and expect to get a return).  (Additionally, exercising prudence in selecting an alliance is crucial, given that mishandling of taxed nation funds could significantly impact your growth trajectory as a nation. Thorough research becomes very pivotal in this regard).

Finally and lastly, within a game/realm called "politicsandwar.com" treaties between major alliances are a fundamental and an essential aspect of the game. That also means treaties between major alliances are integral to the game's dynamics.

Well I was in the alliance he was in, where he shared updates every time he thought it was about to be implemented. People routinely asked him for updates. I will look for them tonight or tomorrow - for now, I am preparing for a television interview (not kidding) for a product I designed that was not doing to well until the current C19 crisis. Now it is flying off the shelves! Anyone from Montreal can tune into CTV - they will likely air it as a feel-good piece on the 6pm news. So if you want to know what I look like, look for the guy with the green screen...

    ?
I was thinking about the space program, spysat and moon landing, not sure about the new projects, only seen one post about it. No knowledge about the dates.

So...EM was being a middle man for some ingame cash for rl cash thing, in which, if anything, he was providing the ingame cash.

Unless perhaps you don't think that money should exist, I'm struggling to understand where your anger towards him rather than Nokia or George comes from, because he didn't profit from the transaction ingame. What unfair benefit are you arguing he received?

NR and george both got their nations reset or did it them self.
"The punishment for real-world transactions for in-game materials will be a complete nation reset upon first offense, and a permanent ban from Politics & War upon a second offense."

Could you please show me the proof you obviously have that EM gained an ingame benefit from this? If you can, I'll gladly stop arguing what I'm arguing, I'm not too proud to admit I'm wrong if I am. Right now though, I'm seing a dogpile and I'm not a fan of those.

You don't need to have a ingame or irl gain to be guilty, you just need to part-take/be a middle-man/know about it without reporting it to Admin.

As it says on the rules page before the rules: The rules for game-play are relatively simple and easy to follow. Be smart, use common sense, and you won't have any issues.
Taking part knowingly in illicit activities withour reporting it is against the rules, so is knowing that someone is cheating and not reporting it.(common sense)

Cypher, weren't you that guy who we all had to disassociate ourselves from in the last global when you were gloating about BK getting hacked? That's right isn't it, and now you're trying to take the moral high ground.

I’ve never hidden the fact that I believe everything in war is fair game. There are people who don’t share the same opinion as me, and that’s absolutely fine.

What isn’t fine is getting caught cheating and profiting, attempting to swindle more IG cash and immunity of Alex and offer nothing in addition. That isn’t an opinion, that is me being as objectively true to the facts.

@namukara are you one of those people who share their log in details ? bc if ur not then shut the frick up about the BK-hacking sacndal.
Digging shit up from the past won't help, esp when ur 200% wrong and Cypher was right back then.
There is no moral-high-ground here, BK got what they deserved back then bc they shared accounts, either get ur information correct or just don't comment.

It is a fair point, and I am sure there are some gray areas. How d you feel about folks who are effectively granted Diplomatic immunity like @Prefontaine? If you see the screens I posted, and the brazen confidence in how he posted them, you can see a cheater who knows he will not be punished if caught.

Ironically, he just named his latest city 'Integrity' - a pantomime of a liar on display.

Frankly, that is far more damaging to the credibility of the game that someone who has been caught and forgiven like @Elijah Mikaelson

I wouldn't call it cheating, but it does fall into a gray area. Pre has had some good ideas on how to make the projects do what they were intended for, which was to dry up raws and refined resources.
I do not agree with some of them and I have given my honest opinion to both Pre and Alex. As for the projects and it being "secret information shared for big gains", that is not true, @Prefontaine has made many posts about the projects and shared those forums-posts often, so has Alex also and even made them available in test-server for us to test them and report potential bugs.
It might maybe appear that he has used that secret information at first glance, but I highly doubt that. If you dig through the forums a bit you can see that that's not the case and that Pre has made several posts, also dig through the public discord it's the same there.

(Also cheater? i broke the rules but did i cheat? I do not think so)

Getting immunity from being banned surely means that ur squeaky cleen and didn't break the rules, you are beyond reproach; without vice.
Jokes aside, so on a srs note; shut the frick up, bc you broke the rules, was going to get banned and that means you cheated.
Having immunity doesn't change the facts.

@Buck Turgidson sorry for taking the thread off-topic, please continue the retirement home drama :P
