I'd like to chuck in the proposal to scale the degradation in accordance to city size so that the bigger of a nation you are, the more degradation you'll see. Same thing with alliance banks, the more cities an alliance has, the more degradation you'll see.

Then you'll have to figure out a way play the game without changing the mechanics. The game is very obviously setup to encourage teamwork. If you don't want to be apart of a unit either adapt your play style, find the best way to utilise your solo-play style or perhaps consider that this game isn't for you.

I know you guys have bias because you want to play in your own groups and not play any one else but there is a much better way of solving it is which giving the away team just as much revenue if they win their away match. Fixing the system is not hiding the problem as you suggest.Alex created baseball as a way for bigger nations to waste cash, I assume that's still his purpose for baseball. I don't think he cares if people stop playing baseball because the game could survive without it.
I fear that people constantly asking him to implement x,y or z will just cause him to remove baseball outright.

I know this was touched on further up but i'd like to suggest it again so it has definitely been seen.
Split the project and city timers into 2 different timers, Perhaps even extend the project timer to something like 15 days.

If this was to make it's way into the game I feel like it shouldn't be random, have it so you can choose what you get but make sure they cost resources and some additional cash. Perhaps add a 'Bonus' option when making a new city and have a drop down of each different thing, Natural Habour, Hot Springs etc
Edit: that way a nation that wants to focus on say, producing resources could just buy all resource bonuses while nations (such as raiders) that focus on military can get minuscule military buffs from their cities, A military bonus could be something like +1% increase to daily military purchase per city, So if you have 15 cities all with the military bonus, You can recruit military 15% faster a day
