Oddly enough before this happened I told you that two of your high level Gov's was planning on forming their own alliance, warned you that they was running around asking people to join them, gov members from other alliances as well.

You told me you already knew and yet you did nothing, or did you.

Has Kevanoiva really left, did he really steal the bank, I personally do not believe so i think this is yet another plan by you to screw over your alliance and "allies" and i use that term very loosely as you have always seen yourself better than your Allies, You knew Kev and Charlie was planning on leaving BC and forming their own alliance, NOW you claim you did not know Kev was the leak, but yet you knew he was going to other alliances trying to poach members to leave and join him and Charlie, knowing this before the 13th makes me wonder WHY did you give him the bank ?, so i wonder who is the biggest clown, all of PNW to believe your story, or you for thinking it would work?

So, am I missing something here? I could have swore what you quoted was about Cynic robbing the bank and him blaming Kev for the leaks.

Wait.. Kev is a Cynic multi!

I can see the reasoning in that, but alliances like KT and TKR were well planned out and had a strong base of members before it was even established, and NPO had already existed in CN for quite some time before entering P&W. I personally have no beef with micros, but its leaders have to be experienced and know what they’re doing if they expect to remotely succeed.  People should join a major alliance for a while and have a good feeling for the game before leaving to make their own micro.

Couldn't agree more with you. The biggest problem with mircos is that too many people run out and start one without having any knowledge of the world they are in. So people who join them enter into a black hole that sucks the enjoyment of the game from them.

That's is exactly why we took our time in organizing and creating plans to help us make it through. RH, nor myself, are no strangers to this game and others like it. My reasoning for helping him in this adventure is that it fulfills my desire do something new (to me) and to help newer players along in their journey with hope that they have the same love for this game that we do.

We didn't want to start a new alliance with a dozen of other players since it wouldn't allow the newer ones the chance to create and shape their own culture. That is part of why some players lose interest. When you join a big alliance it can be intimidating and impersonal. Some tend to feel like mindless drones or lost. All we do is fill a need for those players while being experienced and organized well enough to teach them the ways of Orbis.

Rome wasn't built in a day. We know how much work will be required in order to achieve any success in this world and as long as we follow our plan and have patience there is little need to be concerned.

Interesting VPA - what if the said alliance doesn't wish to merge into BC, what does BC do at that point? Additionally, why the mention of the ODP - seems like BC controls authority of the upgrade without negotiation to the protected signatory? If they don't want it then they can cancel their protection?

    Nice flag tho.

Most of those questions are better answered by BC. All I can offer is my perspective.

If we fail to meet the expectations laid out by the treaty, and BC, than really we don't deserve to exist. It is why I have no concern with the merge clause. The problem with many mircos is that they exist way longer than necessary.

Happy to be back around! Thanks for your explanation, it definitely makes sense.

On the other hand, I think that @Leftbehind has a strong point as well. I really think that this whole war against much weaker opponents create a lot of negative publicity for Pantheon - not because it is immoral, simply because it looks like Pantheon cannot fight alliances in its score range and has to take an easy (by easy I mean very very easy) win. Then there is another question: does Pantheon's image and reputation matter that much for Pantheon's leadership? Pantheon is not a pariah, it has relatively strong ties to other alliances and its reputation does not influence how many new members they are getting (they still have a lot of them). Therefore, I think Pantheon got some negative reputation, but they do not really have to care about it that much.

Guys, please stop with these logs - I feel terribly cringy for David Jr....

Sure it will not stop the flow of new players into the alliance since they tend to flock to the top 10 alliances but it does effect the likelyhood of older, more experienced players going there. Which is something Pantheon lacks. Even the old guys that was there during my short time was few in numbers and minus one person was completely useless in actually helping train the next generation.

The biggest thing this action does is burn political capital which greatly outweighs Empy's wet dream of returning to the number one slot. Don't get me wrong they have tS which ensures they have support but happens next war when they have a real opponent that can knock them around? Alliances will be less likely to support them if its viewed that they hit the easy button last war while they had burned. I am willing to bet that there are leaders on "their" side shaking their heads at this. Even though they know that Pantheon was lined up to hit another alliance that fell through.

So yes they should be concerned about it. In order to play the game you have to think long term and with the ultimate goal of being the top alliance one day means you have to keep targets off your back until you actually achieve said goal.

Oh hey Jan! I hope all is well with you, it's good to see you around again!

It's a bit of an awkward situation where Pantheon was in the coalition sense the start, and when the math was done it made the most sense for us to counter some of the people who we thought would certainly join on TCW's side, and we had all of our guys ready to drop in on the time of the blitz and the following days. After it became unlikely that there would be those additions, we were to slowly start reinforcing other fronts, us hitting those prots only speed up grumpies attacks on us by 2 days or so.

Grumpy certainly wrecked our shit up top, you guys have been performing well this war working in tandem with guardian, I personally dont fault you guys at all and think you are playing a very pragmatic/solid game.

As for the morality of hitting prots, given their sides penchant for lopsided wars, using prots as combatants, and their dubious at best morality, I think in this situation it was morally straight. The discord drama and them constantly threatening our prots certainly played a role in how we did things as well

Didn't you spend time in TKR before returning to play savior? So I'm unsure how you can try and take the moral high ground when you are just as guilty.

Attacking a protectorate is all well and fine by me, when its relatively even size but you willingly agreed to put a 170 nation alliance down on mircos. Although, I'm shocked that you took the easy win without considering the fact that it makes Pantheon look just as pathetic as people say. Which to me is a shame because there are a ton of good talented people there who have to deal with poor leadership.

Ah discord drama in a war. What a shocking offense. Let's pretend Pantheon didnt do it's fair share.

  7. As much as I want to agree with you and say it's a brilliant idea. I just don't believe it is necessary. Most of the big players barely announce anything so it's not like any of us are missing much by the mirco nonsense.

Sure, I can definitely go without hearing about a 2 vote election but the Second coming spy stuff was sorta entertaining. It should also be remembered that so many of these "relevant" alliance topics just turn into a "whose more salty debate".

First lesson of Micro diplomacy. If someone threatens war. This means they can't go to war. Be it your protection, an absence of resources or just general incompetence + bad timing.

    ...With rare exception.

Shadow threatened so I guess that's the exception.
