@George Clooney I'm not sure if this is the actual reasoning, just a hypothesis, but the game's reporting may just round times. So 01:59:30 AM would get rounded to 02:00:00 AM.

And if that is the case, fine.  But a check of the server logs should confirm or refute that.  I think it's worth a look.

  2. I'd like to report a possible issue with Snorlax.  Officially, it kicks in at 10 seconds until the top of the hour.  So launching an attack at the top of the hour should theoretically be impossible.

If so, then how does this happen (note the screenshot)?  If it's a simple issue of a delay in reporting and he had the MAPs for the attack and it happened before the cutoff, it's cool (indeed I didn't actually mind getting beiged in the moment), but if not, then either it's a bug or something else.

    Thanks.

People acting like there are not other things in the pipeline. As I explained elsewhere, the war rewrite took longer than expected.

Once that is done, new player and war changes are on the horizon.

Projects are easy to code and implement and will always come out more often.

Projects are no longer viewed as adequate to be a main tool for a resource sink. Consumption rates will likely need to be reviewed across the board and this war should give us some more data for that.

It would help to see how these projects fit into the larger picture post-rules revisions in order to be able to give better feedback.

  4. New Project: Bountiful Harvest

I'd need to do the math, but doesn't look to be worth it.  ROI is such you'd be forever recouping the cost. Plus your population becomes pigs and war only makes them bigger pigs.

    New Project: Mars Landing

So for your investment you get bragging rights, "cool stickers", and since when does Approval Rating matter?  Now if the plan is for Approval Rating to actually matter in the future (e.g. extremely low approval ratings means military doesn't fight as well, population doesn't produce as much on your farms and in your factories, etc.), now you have something.

    New Project: Military Expansion

Rewards middle-of-the-road nations (those with 20-29 cities), that have seen combat, with a free city.  I like it.  I have some concerns that we're already inflating the number of cities nations have artificially too much, but this helps out smaller alliances a bit where $500 mill+ to add a city to the nation of a member is a major expense.

    New Project: Advanced Surveillance Network

Yes please and thank you, would love it more however if it also allowed you to build an extra spy each day (max 5 per day) and/or lowered the crime rate (which is something else that needs to be fixed to make it harder to control, but that's another thread).

Yeah I remember. We raided the living crap out of DEIC, you guys actually fought a bit better. Also I will add a little fun fact if you can possibly remember, the merc alliance Blue Moon I hired to raid you guys sometimes; I bought with a mere 5000 gas. :P

Once Acadia merged together you guys finally started to get a break for a bit. By the way, ever going to reforge Acadia? ;)

NAC warred hard.  You had some members from the old CN Valhalla alliance there, which helped.  So you're saying that Blue Moon was cheap and easy?  If I'd known that, I'd have paid him 10k gas to raid YOU.  😄

I pushed DEIC members to get Nuclear Research Facility after the merger.  We were funding that for NAC members toward the end.  Oddly, throwing nukes seemed to deter Arrgh raids.  Of course these days people throw nukes because it's Wednesday and it's cloudy...

An Acadia reboot is probably not going to happen (too many Acadia alum too high up in other alliances and happy, and besides TheNG is no longer around), but I'll never say never, if only because when I do, I curse myself for whatever it is I said I'd never do to actually happen.

George here has been through a fair few of these anti-Arrgh coalitions. :P

I still remember the forever war against North American Confederacy.

I also remember UPN trying to mediate peace at one point and getting frustrated with both parties.  Ok, it probably didn't help I was being a sarcastic ass. 😄

Fun fact: In the latter stages of that series of wars, NAC was talking to DEIC about coordination and other issues, which eventually lead to a friendship that evolved into the merger that created Acadia.  So you could say that Arrgh was a major factor in that happening.

Honestly how many alliances are needed to take down Fortuna? I mean like everyone, !@#$ Eclipse, but at the end of the day how do people find these kind of wars entertaining is beyond me.

I don't actually have a dog in this fight, and I'll concede your point that a bit more challenge might make it more interesting, but if I'm being honest, watching an old rival from the very early days of P&W, and one I never really reconciled with, that being t$, get dogpiled, curb stomped, and wrecked is...not boring.

But hey, I'm sure t$ at least has enough money stored away somewhere to rebuild themselves several times over.  They'll be fine.  As for the rest of Fortuna, they should have been more careful of the company they kept.  I mean, if you can get Rose and TKR not only on the same side in a war, but coordinating and teaming up to hit targets, that's some serious bad karma.

  8. ChatGPT to the rescue...

Based on the themes you've provided, here are some title suggestions:

"Whale Eclipse: Dawn of the Immortals"
"Aurora Nights: Immortal Crimes and Whale Songs"
"The Syndicate's Eclipse: Whales and Immortals Unite"
"Immortal Dawn: Aurora Heist and Whale Sanctuary"
"Whale's Eye Eclipse: Crime and Immortality"
"Aurora Syndicate: Whales and Dawn of Immortals"
"Eclipse of the Immortals: Whale Tales and Crime Syndicates"
"Whale Song Nights: Aurora, Immortals, and Crime"
    "Immortal Whales and Aurora Crimes"
"Dawn's Immortals: The Whale Eclipse Heist".

Personally I'd suggest "Götterdämmerung as Written for Brazzers", but the AI's suggestions for more family friendly.

That is some pretty impressive white washing of the IQ war.  That being said it was a few years ago, I didn't think anyone really still held that against Camelot.  If anything I assume its just an excuse to take a shot at them.

Sup? 🙂  Scars ever go away?  Mine are still cool, chicks dig them.  lol

There are logs some place that confirm my assertions, but once again, what's done is done.  I did however want to set the record straight at least where Cam was concerned.

Someone clearly held it against them at one point: https://politicsandwar.fandom.com/wiki/The_Hunt_for_the_Holy_Grail

And that war came up during peace negotiations for this war.  I'll let Cam address it further if they want.

  10. Some people need to look the definition "white peace"... 🙂

Enjoy rebuilding the upper tier we destroyed.

FYI: Same deal we offered weeks ago (and billions in extra damages to Camelot ago).  Too bad Polaris decided not to join the party, but you can only lead people to the path of peace, you can't make them accept it.

On a personal note, and speaking for myself alone (and perhaps the ghosts of Acadia leadership of which I was a member, along side TheNG), I was gone a very long time.  Those who know me know why.  Many things have changed, some more than others.  Friends have moved on, some are no longer on Orbis.  But for the record, as I was catching up on what transpired since, I read that people were busting Camelot's balls at one point over what I call "The 248 Day War" and their participation in it, and frankly, I didn't get it.  Many alliances fought on both sides in that war.  Camelot served on the side of Acadia and the other alliances in our coalition with honor.  They had absolutely nothing to apologize for, any more than I have any apologies to give for my own participation, or for the participation of Acadia as an alliance.  Yes, there were allegations of cheating and exploits in use by both sides during the war, and at least some of those allegations were valid.  I have a fair amount to say about what I witnessed, but the time to do so publicly or correct the wrongs that were done has long since past.  I will just leave it at this--some exceptional people quit this game for very good reasons.

Orbis is now what it is.  I have come to terms with that, others should as well.  Those who lead Camelot would do well to live in the present.  Those at Polaris would do well to keep in mind that being humble doesn't means humiliation.  I wish both parties peace in the very near future.
