Honestly I have respect for WTF, they've been a glorified punching bag for so long but they stick around.
Shows character, on top off the incompetence to keep getting rolled, but respect for the resilience nontheless.
The opinion of a member of a Pokemon themed protectorate of t$ and Oblivion, which appears to get raided about as often as it raids, is duly noted.

But you expect someone who is playing for 2 years to know such term? That's just sad.
For the younglings out there, because I know that long time players tend to just assume that everyone knows the Unwritten Rules of Orbis (tm), when you are considering applying to an alliance, ask what their departure policy is up front. Some will insist on the repayment of loans before you leave (and grants if you leave before you've been a member for a minimum number of days), some will pursue you as a deserter and attack your nation if you leave mid-war. You can avoid a whole lot of grief.

I would really like to get Cypher's side of all this. Sounds pretty serious and involves multiple issues.
Deraj, from what I've heard of the Graybird situation, and I've heard multiple stories about it at this point, you were going to be damned either way. There's no way you can say anything about it that won't get judged harshly unless you head bob with the mob, however noble your motivation. Yes, that would have made you one of the torch carriers. But issues like this one rarely get talked about logically. Just my observation, as stated I don't know what the facts in evidence are for certain, just the rumors.

The design team is currently focusing on Military generals. It has had a decent amount of ground work completed as a proposal and something Alex has personally given interest to. We are hoping to link this idea to re-tooling baseball into a more relevant game mechanic (more to come on this at a later date). I cannot really give a firm date on when we might see this mechanic. It is certainly something we would like to see in the game ASAP once the design process has been completed. You should expect to hear from me (or someone from the team) again on this soon with more details.
Military generals has always sounded interesting, though making it something that isn't just a CN rehash of the generals mechanic would be the challenge. Baseball is basically just a bit of chrome for the game at this point. I'm not sure what you could do there that would be a) interesting, b) not just a money grab ripe for people to try to automate so they can grab even more money. Perhaps have tournaments where the reward is a achievement of some sort?
QuoteThe other aspects we’ve been exploring are ideas surrounding colours, projects achievements. Ideally we’d like colours to become less focused on booting newer players and alliances off a colour going forward, this one is still early days but if you have an idea please do voice it!
Tempting to say "why don't you just create a financial incentive to up the number of nations on a color?" but then knowing players, suddenly everyone would be on the same color and abandoned the rest. I mean, there are solid reasons for wanting to have a color with few, high end nations on it. So the challenge is to encourage people to spread out a bit, without creating "gated communities".
QuoteAchievements are also fairly early in the works but basically we want to have more achievements with more relevant rewards. These could not just be cash rewards but also projects or reductions in city/project costs. E.g. Completing 30 raid wars at c11 allows them to be granted a free Urban Planning project.
For the love of God, no more buffs to reward/encourage raiding. We have enough. What I *could* see is an achievement for fighting in 'X' number of Attrition and Ordinary wars that would result in something like a free Military Academy project that would help you create better/more military generals (and presumably military admirals).

Damage Stats
Camelot: +1bil
NpO: -2bil
WTF: -6bil
TCM: -13bil
Arrgh and Momento Mori (mercenaries): +38.8bil
War Stats
Camelot: 1,175 (off) and 712 (def)
NpO: 149 (off) and 390 (def)
WTF: 91 (off) and 520 (def)
TCM: 89 (off) and 265 (def)
Mercenaries: 849 (off) and 266 (def)
veryone except WTF had no military at the end or was dragged down multiple times and had their infra wrecked. Our net damage was positive by the end of the war but that's not obvious because you had your propagandists separate TCM and add random micros to our stats. Furthermore, NPO gave up and the chief diplomat which started your war entered VM.WTF wasn't involved in https://ctowned.net/conflicts/camvscoal
You asked me a single thing you said that was wrong. I've done that.
I think maybe you are confusing two different conflict.
Also, WTF always takes a lot of infra damage up front in wars (our tendency to rebuild and rarely raid means that we go into fights fat and lean down as the war progresses), and it skews the damage cost data. The data from the war I fought in clearly shows that Arrgh did massive damage to you, far more than WTF did, thus why I have renewed respect for them as assault troops. Not sure if your data here is from the war we fought in, or mix of data at this point (FYI: my nation's military was maxed out at the end of the war we had with you).
Seems pretty important to you that you think that Camelot is some sort of invincible fighting force though. Good luck with that.

You're forgetting we dragged all of NPO down before we granted you peace. We also rolled all your other allies including the mercenaries like Borg you outsourced the war to. 70% of NPO and 40% of WTF's nations no longer exist.
WTF didn't exactly score a remarkable victory and the post war situation is in our favor. NPO no longer exists, WTF never recruited again, and Cam has more C30s than you do.
You lost the war, you lost the peace, and you'll lose the next one too.
Amusing. I think what's most interesting though is that every single assertion save one (Borg was involved, so was Arrgh, and I developed a new appreciation for them as assault troops) you just made is wrong. Quite the accomplishment. You're boss would be proud.

Ok, I'll play...
That Disappeared - Guardians of the Galaxy
That currently is - Singularity (IMO seems to scare the hell out of enough people to be doing something right)
That should have been - Federalist Upper Canadian Kabbalah, the ultimate lulz alliance. Think the original Black Knights, but cooler, way cooler.- 1

How are NPO and WTF crying about down-declares after dogpiling Camelot? They outnumbered their enemies 30 to 1 and still lost. Get gud and learn from your enemies.
We learned far more from KT actually. No, in your case it was a glorious little adventure, smashing your upper tier down into your middle tier and then playing Whack-a-Mole whenever your one of your poor upper tier nations dared to buy up back into range. Eventually your upper tier nations figured out that it was mostly pointless I guess, so we had to sell off mil to get back into range to pick some people off. Oh sure your lower tier did well against us, but it's not like you didn't vastly outnumber WTF in that range.
WTF didn't lose to Camelot. If anything we got bored waiting for Polaris to decide to peace you out because the point was made (FYI: your boss is terrible negotiator and his act became tiresome). When they refused, we gave them a deadline to make peace. As I recall we even extended it a bit. When that didn't work, we and the other alliances (all except TCM) peaced you out anyway and let Polaris fight on without us.
Also for the 6,745th time...
NPO = New Pacific Order aka Pacifica
NpO - New Polar Order aka Polaris
Learn it. Live it. Love it.

You are a C27, BUT the biggest nation to hit you was a c41, me, who had to do a double buy with 650 avg infra to be in range while you were maxed with infra. Go figure. There was no c47, c45, c43 that hit you. Keep rage baiting.
On another note, I'm in BiC not KT, and I don't believe any KT members c40+ hit TCM. As for my involvement? I was a mercenary, as can be seen on BiC's alliance page.
Cry more.
As someone who used to routinely faceoff against nations with far more cities, I could see where they start to blend a bit. You're right, largest city count he faced was c41. On the other hand, don't expect him to be happy facing off against mercenaries/raiding alliance members with 38, 36, 41, and 30 cities respectively. Indeed, only two of the ten nations he fought the entire war had fewer cities than he did.

Even the summary post (and bless the heart of the individual who did it...) needs a tl;dr.
But the real tl;dr is: Never merge your alliance with another ruled by an absolute dictator, always merge with friends, and always get references first.

There's this new word, 'war' that would be a better choice.

We're not saying it's a MADP, but you can guess the odds that one of us will be coming along with the other if there is offensive action to be done.
[DoW] Matrix: Assimilations
in Alliance Affairs

The days of Oblivion rolling WTF are long over, as are the days of WTF being raid bait. I'd tell you to ask the last alliance that thought we were raid bait how that worked out, but they aren't an alliance anymore. Sad part is, there were people within that alliance that realized it was a bad idea, but they were ignored.
As for our current situation, we're just getting warmed up. 🙂
Merry Christmas to you as well.
