  1. AKA: We were scheming, and wanted to calculate the relative force of each sphere

What do you mean we were attacking several of our allies? A half-year ago? Let's just be real here Pubbie, the *only* reason Rose is attacking us right now is because you guys wanted to even the score from your last failure. You don't like us, that's fine, we get it. So you decide to launch another failed blitz, making the same mistakes you made last time.

The honest truth is that you don't like us, we don't like you. Our sphere stands in the way of that grudge, so you want to neutralize them. Alliances like BK are caught in the crossfire. You're concerned about this, as the aggressor, because you don't want those on the fence to help MENSA. You know that any disturbance could tip the scales in our favor, so you try to talk them into staying neutral. Meanwhile, you also send TEST money from your alliance bank, presumably to pay them off (however, I'm merely guessing on this one, perhaps your alliance owed them some sort of personal debt. I doubt it though). Meanwhile you try to spin this as MENSA being egregious bullies, and Rose is nothing but the shining white knights coming to rid Orbis of our rampant aggression.

Honestly, it's stale, and everyone who is active sees through it. The silly CB's always annoy me. Mensa has been guilty of it in the past, make no mistake, but the rationalizing on your part is fairly obvious.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. My claim was that Mensa attacked several of Rose's allies, it was 2 protectorates and Vanguard iirc. I'm sure your insider can also tell you we have been exchanging funds with at least another 5-10 alliances. I don't need to spin anything to make Mensa look like !@#$, you guys do a good enough job yourselves. If you didn't there wouldn't be so many people putting effort into this war for the sole reason of seeing you guys fall.

  2. And then you hit our allies. What were we expected to do, exactly? Sit around and just watch them burn? If Mensa hit you guys we would've been there for you, which is why we joined your coalition in the first place. Once we found out that you guys might be planning to pre-empt our other allies and other reasons we left.

I edited my previous post in reply to you to avoid a double post. I do think this is a bit irrelevant to UPN and this war now that we have brought back the awful memories of mine and Strum's breakup. You don't feel it is the same, I do :P agree to disagree I guess. But I do feel that we are just beating a dead horse at this point if we are talking strictly the Rose and BK situations and opinions of that war.

  3. Well we had talked about it to you prior to it happening, and you told us you were going to stay neutral.

EDIT: This is beginning to become irrelevant to the thread, but the point it that the comparison of that war and this one aren't all that different. Rose was attacking in response to Mensa (surprise surprise) attacking several of our allies. Not you specifically but your sphere gives us shit for not helping them faster, and now you seem to be grieved that we entered at all. Also that was when Pfeiffer had admitted to trying to force Rose's hand because he was pissed off about an OOC attack done on him by a player who no longer plays but was in Rose. Upon this several people from you sphere had apologized to me because they were not given the full story from Mensa and even admitted to helping plan the forced hand Rose was given that war.

TL;DR - You hit an ally of their ally in the past, they are doing it now. Exact situation is different but the principle of it is pretty much the same.

  4. Haha, call me chickenshit all you want, but at least BK doesn't leave their allies hanging on thin lines. Couldn't say the same to you guys in RoseSphere.

Next time you try to make BK look bad, make sure you actions match your promises :)

If we left our allies on thin lines would we have waited a day so our allies could make a plan while we were beat on by 7 alliances? Would we have been so okay with taking the short end of the stick this war for the greater good? It's awfully funny you seem to be preaching loyalty when BK in previous world wars was notorious for switching to the winning side at the cost of burning bridges with allies.

  5. Uhh...yes, we did, after UPN started the war with a declaration to tS.

Your ally attacked theirs, it's the same principle.

    Interesting move. Good luck UPN.

Oh hey look. You're back. Fair-weather forum warrior :P.

Not worth trying to rationalize with a Mensa circle jerk. As you should know by now, given this entire debacle. Just be careful, your puppets are starting to break dem strings.

  6. What I'm really curious about is why our ally blatantly disregarded us by declaring war on our ally, TKR. What did TKR do to UPN to warrant being declared on for no apparent reason? Because they have ties to tS? Doesn't that make them just as bad as Mensa for declaring war on Vanguard to get at Rose?

It is MnDoAP for a reason. Also, did you not attack BoC in the last war?

  7. No, I am suggesting that I am proud of the turnup of my members, and their ability to properly execute an offensive. This in direct reply to a question posed by Mike. You are jumping on it because frankly, your perceived grievances against t$ have overtaken your rationale lately. I would kindly refer you to our last query before you struck us, where you instead of working with t$ to solve the situation, you threw a bunch of accusations our way.

Now, I am well aware that this was a dogpile. I'm also aware that you have allies waiting to counter us and that our respite is temporary. It matters not. We burn together.

Now, i've taken a rather mild tone towards you on these forums thusfar, with respect to our allies in Alpha and Rose both, opting to generally refrain from commenting negatively towards you. Are you intent on not only forcing war upon us, but turning it into a bitter one at that? By all means, continue turning a party that was relatively neutral to you into a rival.

If that was what you meant then say it as such. I'm jumping on it because he is a young member of the alliance I lead and being talked down to by the people attacking us, and in regards to "grievances against t$" I just explicitly said I have no problem with t$. That query was a bit late considering it was the day we were going to be attacking, but also after you had rejected us from an NAP renewal we requested about two weeks ago, in addition to all of that the conflict between Mensa and Vanguard was not even close to being resolved.

Last time we talked you had problems with t$. I have no problems with Rose and once considered building relations with Rose when I was in charge of InGen's FA, however I respected t$ more considering they showed me respect at the start of the inception of Ingen and actively talked with me and even informed us of possible attacks on us when they had no obligations to us before the treaty.

Don't say your only problem is with Mensa when you told me otherwise.

Remind me how long ago that was? I don't recall having a private discussion with you even one time in at least the last couple of months. If my issue was with tS I would have hit them, this entire war is a result of Mensa's shenanigans.

You refused all diplomatic attempts at peace, you knew we would get involved, because our word actually matters. Spare me the bs, if you had no problems with us we wouldn't be fighting now.

I'm sure you weren't told that we requested a renewal on that NAP we had about two weeks ago. Or that we were actually the one's who suggested it for the first time. Or that Abbas gave Tim a heads up of rogues hitting one of your allies.

  8. What we gonna do, they got dem pixels :v Our mistake for forgiving them after that reset, all of our goodwill meant nothing to these guys.

This actually has nothing to do with tS, I don't have a problem with tS. I have a problem with Mensa, you just decided to also make it yours.

  9. Can someone teach Pub how quotation marks work?

No, doing dishonorable things isn't okay just because we would still know, and if you've got any evidence of it I invite you to PM or query me regarding it. I'm merely saying that either way, you're screwed. And I'm quite sure you know it.

You sound similar to the people that were telling you a message quite similar to this at the start of Oktoberfest.

  10. Let me be clearer then: It doesn't matter if Mensa has plants or not in Rose (I don't know either way), because your alliance is leakier than a sieve and has been for the past three wars. You, uh, might want to get that checked out.

"Doing dishonorable things is okay because we would still know anyways"

  11. I was referring to Mike's comment regarding our ability to muster as large a counter assault in one night (t$ alone declared over 120 wars in a span of a few hours. A large chunk of which was in the first hour). I'm not entirely certain what us receiving intel has to do with that. We received intel, drew up our defensive strategy, and coordinated properly.

    What exactly is your point?

Are you suggesting that being told of an attack by a specific person has no impact on how well someone can plan for it? Yeah intel is absolutely worthless, tell me more about how great and amazing you are. Partisan, we have had this back and forth for a very long time now and once again you just approach this situation with a dogmatic attitude. You're being blinded by this bandwagon of joy because you can form a dogpile.

    Pub, Pub, Pub.

It's not our fault you guys couldn't be bothered to actually clean up your access list for ages after we left Paragon (for the record, you had left a bunch of us with access, Nich was just the only person who hadn't cleaned up his ajoin). We'd be silly not to use information that allowed us to prepare for an attack on our alliance, and I'm outright calling you a liar if you say you'd have done any differently in our situation.

As far as this war... I dunno about people being planted on the inside, I'm getting plenty of intel from your own members who can't keep their mouths shut in public, so....

I haven't heard anything about tS to be honest with you Roy, all of the hinting towards insiders was meant to be sent more of Mensa's direction - I'm sure they already knew that though.

  12. The fact that we play the game better is clear at this point. Sheer numbers are cool and all, but you gotta know what you're doing, Pubby.

You sure are quick to start up a circle jerk after a day of winning a war consisting of TKP, TKR, tS, Mensa, Roz Wei, tC, Guardian vs. Rose.

  13. Uhm.... are you aware that tS has historically organized counterblitzes in every war we've been in? Those were wars we were pre-empted in by a larger force. Compared to that, this was a piece of cake.

So in a way... thank you covenant and rose, for helping train our competencies

I'm sure none of this had anything to do with your guy relaying intel to you from the paragon gov chan during the last war we had, or people that have been planted on the inside leaking intel to you and Mensa.
