This is a suggestion that has been floated previously, but I think that given the late-stage of the game it would really add something.

In a nutshell, my proposal is that every turn, there is some (very small) chance that any given Nuclear Power Plant will experience an accident, causing a meltdown and resulting in the uninhabitability of the city. (I.E. The city is destroyed/removed.)

Right now there are 0 mechanics that can reduce someone's city count. Because there is effectively no cap on nation growth, some players are just really far ahead of others and will always be farther ahead. Adding a meltdown mechanic will add a small limiting factor and at the least reduce the growth rate of very high-city nations.

Yes, I know, you could just not use Nuclear Power Plants, and I would expect that some players would switch to Wind Power. Which, in my opinion is fine, as that does take up a lot more improvement slots and ultimately still accomplishes the same goal of reducing the growth rate of players at the high end.

Good in premise, but this should be accompanied by a whole slew of possible nation events that have both negative and positive effects.  WE SHOULD NOT MAKE THE ONLY NATION EVENT IN THE GAME A MAJOR NEGATIVE.  This should be a launching of an expanded list of nation events, how about using some that are included in the Nation Events Thread?  Again, this a good first step but it needs to be one nation event within many.

Another note: this could create a project called: Universal Education that brings up the education levels of your country and thus lowers the chances of meltdown(oh boy, I just thought of a really cool mechanic...  This needs expanding).

As a theme/mechanic per se, it would be useless but also a little fun. Having things like natural disasters (and player vs game mechanics) is an idea that could spice things up.

What he said is basically what I said, I was just later...

I like this part. Maybe make it part of the treaty web in some way. I would like to see this.

I don't like this part. I think it takes away from IC interaction and stuff. Implementation of peace terms among a losing party is part of the experience with government members communicating (or not communicating) about who's going to do what and when (or completely failing and then having to deal with the IC repercussions of it).

Automating such things takes away from the experience.

But of course, there will be discussions in-character outside this automation mechanic.  These tools I am suggesting are to help the people writing peace treaties on discord servers and DMs.  These tools would give them more ways to negotiate, make the treaties better enforced, and give an official feel.  It would be cool to look on an alliance page and see the wars they lost/won and the peace terms that accompanied them.

This mechanic would not take away from the way terms are negotiated, it would only add.

    Also,

@Zevfer says to jump off a cliff.  He's kind of a jerk and it is OK to hate him.  I can share his link for you to roll him if you want.

  3. The creator, Alex, has said that this game has not really developed the way he intended it.  There was supposed to be a focus on military and the way nations grow in the game now was not intended by the game creator, however, humans like to hoard.  So the more people got anal about their pixels, the less fighting happened until now when people are so scared over the loss of their pixels that the number of major wars in a calendar year can be counted on one hand.

I actually think switching the name at this point would be par for the course, but of course, that would create a ton of problems with search engine presence and other things so it won't happen.

I hope this gives you some context.

  4. Attention all PnW Gamers, TKR is in great danger, and needs YOUR help to wipe out all the alliances in IQ. To do this, they need 100bil and a couple of infra. To help them, all they need is your credit card number, the three numbers on the back, and the expiration month and date. But you gotta be quick so that TKR can secure those credits, and achieve the epic victory R O Y A L

  6. Better suggestion!  How about we copy Discord's role system?  Have a cap on how many roles an alliance can have, but allow the alliance leader to set up what the roles can do completely.  This way people can make custom roles for people who only deal with the bank or perms, or whatever else.

    Just a thought

  7. I sexually Identify as a Polaris. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of being triggered and kicking people from my discord server. People say to me that a person being a Polaris is Impossible and I’m fricking retarded but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install weak ass members, bad leadership and sensitive frickers on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Polar” and respect my right to be a weakling. If you can’t accept me you’re a polaphobe and need to check your alliance privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.

  8. This is actually a very thoughtful idea.  Creating an entire second board would be a strain on the servers, however, and maybe allowing private resource for resource trades is good enough.  This is good tho and would add simplicity to one of the most confusing parts of the game.
