I don't equate neutrality to pacifism. Pacifism only a byproduct of not taking sides in a global conflict. I would also never suggest you not defend your nations. To not do so would negate the benefit of being an alliance at all. My point is only that by protecting green, you are no longer acting as a neutral. You are taking a political position in the larger community that has the potiential of putting you at odds with others in this community by interfering, directly or indirectly, with their conflicts. By all means, do so. You are a sovereign alliance and you can, as such, take whatever stance you please. Just don't claim that stance to be a neutral stance. It isn't and you're not while maintaining it.

You absolutely should be concerned with outside interpetation of your neutrality. Your neutrality exists only as the standards of the community allow it to exist. By choosing not to tie yourself politically you are essentially opening yourself up to exploitation should the community at large decide to capitalize on your lack of ties. It is only by community wide respect for your soverign choices that capitalization is avoided. Therefore it is your duty when exercising neutrality to analyze sincerity of that stance in all aspects of your FA direction, interpet the community response, and adjust your stance to better place yourself in a place that causes GPA to be neither a threat nor an ally to anyone. Failure to do so is at your own risk.

I find this: To be in conflict with this: As political alignment to a color sphere requires either direct and complete soverign control of that color sphere or an understood political alignment with other alliances on that color sphere, such an action can not be considered neutral.

This is a great idea. As a solitary nation, I have already taken it upon myself to respond to the plight of poor, terrorized citizens who's rulers have abandoned them. My troops are successfully moving each and every nation so afflicted nation to the safety and prosperity of the beige sphere. In this manner the nation of Miranda stands up in bilateral support of PEACE and LOVE.
