  1. people work. people earn money by that. people pay taxes from that. you get tax revenue
  2. that's beyond all logic. anything senseful to add to this suggestion? would it work from your point of view?
  3. well, good luck anyways. you made the seal yourself?
  4. tax rates and income levels are correlated, i think you get basically the same revenue from it. not much to rob here (if you even reach up to me), i spend my money to grow... you could try that too, makes you less enemies
  5. mhm i mean is it derived from (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) FEAR? btw why not male title Rex?
  6. 1 city commerce rate 4%, other city 0%. your economy is a lolwut and i just said you must sell improvements in order to sell infra. yes. the game works as designed, but no, it's not how it should work. this mistake allows terrorists like you to rise.
  7. Snow? is that the (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) FEAR?
  8. you can't sell infra when your actual improvements exceed your max improvements (or, when you're abusing the system). sell 11 improvements in moskva and you can sell infra down to 100.00. or sell 9 in zharkov and you can go down to 50.00
  9. The Red Guards consist of 10 nations atm, most of them tiny jokes of countries. Most of them are barely active ( http://politicsandwar.com/index.php?id=15&keyword=Red%20Guards&cat=alliance&ob=score&od=DESC&maximum=10&minimum=0&search=Go&memberview=true ), they're a joke of an alliance. Demon's advantage is that he's in Europe, and the resources he has ( http://politicsandwar.wikia.com/wiki/Resources ) are the ones needed for steel. But if you analyze his cities, he only has 1 steel mill. This means he can only make 9 tanks per day as well as 6 tons of gasoline per day. That again leads me to the assumption that he imports lots of his resources. And I'm right, look at his trade page ( http://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=5911&display=trade ) and you'll see what he sells to finance his costly wars and what he buys to even execute his communist-terrorist operations. Combine that with the fact that he continuously takes money and resources from the alliance bank (and it looks like he robbed it now completely --> http://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=5911&display=bank ), and you get a picture of a sad, tiny, internally powerless nation. I mean he has about 1/2 of my score, but only 1/7 of my GDP. So I propose we "attack" him with some longer-term strategy. Simply don't sell steel, gasoline or alu anymore on the open market, pack the "good" alliances in 1 massive shared market and thereby introduce "economic embargos" to the game. Don't buy any resources from DEMON and his alliance anymore (that's part of his income), don't sell any steel, alu or gasoline on the open market anymore (that's what he needs for his war machinery) and he will fail; I guarantee that. That'd be one idea how to deal with misbehaving alliances. Of course, there will always be some who can sustain due to their own resource production, others will simply buy the resources from newbies who sell them on the open market. But it'd be worth an attempt imo. Go ahead. Comment. What u waiting for?
  10. it helped in europe. americans crushed germans, you bombed our cities and destroyed our nations..... but you had a long-term grand strategy for europe, far beyond the marshal plan, and rebuilt us. of course it's easy to get rid of a dictator, but, like in lybia, it's damn dangerous if you forget to take care of the country
  11. one idea before: another idea: auto-sell the improvements and give the nation the normal refund (i tihnk about 50% of the resources used to build it or so...) i mean improvements=infrastructure rounded to the last 50-unit divided by 50. you have a clear number of the amount of improvements allowed and we only need a formula for the auto-sell. there's an auto-power-shutdown when energy demand exceeds energy supply, there's an auto-revenue-drop once you run out of resources you need to power the imp/feed your population...
  12. the democratic china mentioned in my post
  13. To battle DEMON we need another strategy, not war. Look at his nation, bank transactions, and you'll see without his alliance (and probably damn high taxes) he can't sustain. Plus he can only produce very few resources himself, he's got to buy the rest on the market. Simply don't sell steel or alu anymore on the open market, pack the "good" alliances in 1 massive shared market and thereby introduce "economic embargos" to the game. Don't buy any resources from DEMON anymore (that's part of his income), don't sell any steel, alu or gasoline on the open market anymore (that's what he needs for his war machinery) and he will fail; I guarantee that. Could be used for other misbehaving alliances, and is an easy tool to use to get rid of those annoying raiders.
  14. You can call me Jerry The problem with missiles is that they cost 8,$$$,$$$ once someone can afford them, and that'll take some weeks, guys like DEMON abuse this bug
  15. 1) wait until china collapses 2) install democracy 3) ally with them 4) force NK to stop behaving this way or roll them
  16. Where's the stock exchange? 1k units uran, short, option I think steel prices will rise...
  17. Austria was involved in 2 world wars, after the second got a third chance. We should give HIL another chance ;D
  18. Hmm... it just basically means you build a production facility/mine/barrack/... and the road was bombed away. The facilities themselves are still there (unless hit with a missile). So perhaps we should decrease the productivity of the facilities by (1-(maximum number of improvements/actual number of improvements))%. That'd mean e.g. 10/2 -> 1-(2/10)=1-0.2=0.8^=80%. Sequester style, reduce everything. Either he can afford it or he has to sell the improvements.
  19. u remember me? well done, you can slow down your growth engine now
  20. the problem of immigrants who abuse the social security system and barely even care about integrating themselves into the community is a problem not only germany has (greetings from austria). however, this only aims at a very small percentage of bad examples who are then used for negative campaigns by the right wing parties. those right wing parties don't talk about the nuclear physics professor from CEE, they won't mention the guy with a PhD in economics from arabia, they won't mention the translator from southern europe who speaks 4 languages fluently. but merkel now wants to take on a harder course regarding the minor amount of abusers. and let's not kid ourselves, there are plenty of such people in every country, if you'd work at the arbeitsamt (job office) you'd know what i'm talking about. america never had bad times with "multiculti", it always did and still does well with the millions of immigrants living there and immigrating now. new york has little italy, or chinatown, san francisco has its chinese districts, and i'm pretty sure houston has a mexican district too, or LA a hispanic area. it's normal that immigrants bring a piece of their culture, and turks e.g. brought us the kipferl, the coffee, hungarians the gulasch, asians the spicy food, ..., so what's wrong with it? when germans emigrate to america there are entire websites about german communities where the germans celebrate oktoberfests and have a biergarten, they only talk german and do exactly the same thing which you're condemning the immigrants in germany for. if europe wouldn't have exploited the african resources for centuries and enslaved the people and now let them starve to death we probably wouldn't have to increase our border patrol. it's time for us to give them something back of what we stole, and not, like spain with its enclaves in northern africa, build another row of nato-fence... or like in the mediterranean sea where we let them drown... and berlin airport... even wowereit concluded that they should have included average workers into the planning process.. that's just politicians. at least you use it. austria built a nuclear power plant and, after the construction was finished, they asked the people who ultimately said "no" to nuclear power. i gotta say this persistent rise of socially right parties in europe is one of the things that makes me realize that europe won't be able to return to much better days. and to answer your counterquestion: i'm socially left, economical right, so somewhere between democrats and republicans; a centrist. left-wingers are ok, i'd rather deal with them than with guys like... well, some here in this topic...
  21. there are not that many communist states in asia left. vietnam and china, for example, but majority is democratic, some monarchies, some juntas. throughout history american parties have changed, there have been other parties too / different names and many streams within the parties, so you can't say they were the same over almost 250 years (let's ignore the fact that at the beginning there were no democrats) afd is, not only in germany, known as a party of right wingers, and like all right.wing parties economically left and socially right, like fpö in austria. both mentioned parties are, sadly on the rise in europe, though that doesn't change the fact that they're pursuing stupid policies that might remind the one or another after their "original" party... hope they don't win more elections. look to hong kong... the chinese politburo chooses the candidates the hong kong residents can vote for in 2017... not that democratic, huh? free markets... dunno.... keep in mind every major company is observed/controlled by the cp fascism, as i learned the term, means to oppress other people and force them to follow your beliefs. fascism was popular at several places in europe, whether it was the austrofascism in austria, the germans, the italians led by mussolini, or also today with the golden dawn in greece (who btw use a modified form of the swastika...) you say it has nothing to do with hate... well, the term "authoritarian" implies that someone rules over a country because he couldn't rule with the people. that implies that there are opponents who hate him. so it has to do with hate. btw... get outta here. wth does this game attract so many right-wingers?
  22. That's always good to hear. Pardon the late reply
  23. What about a list of "on-demand" mentors? Not only for newbies, perhaps also for members who have been away for some time...
