Not long after the marriage of First Princess Lucia, the nation has been shocked to hear the divorce of the empress and emperor.
Considered to be the perfect couple and both within a religion that rarely sees divorce, the empress has expressed that the marriage had ended due to drifting apart shortly after the attempted assassination attempt.
"Perhaps it affected him more than he wished to admit. Tragedies can bring families together or tear them apart." She stated to reporters
Rumors have circled around that maybe Emperor Ajax had not been as supportive of his daughter's marriage as believed. Others said it could be he fell in love with another woman. More rumors reported that he became disillusioned with the black of power he had compared to the empress.
First Prince Ericson had said nothing on the subject besides disappointment while First Princess Lucia gave a more detailed statement.
"How could I not see it. I mean, was I too caught up in my love life to see that my parents' were talking apart? Did they hold off on this until after my wedding so not to hurt me? If so I don't know if I wanted them to tell me beforehand."
The now former emperor had not commented and it is rumored he planned to leave the kingdom. Second Princess Gem had refused to comment.
