I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. This episode should be a rather short one, but still important nonetheless. We have a major update for you regarding the ongoing Sino-Rokkenjima War, as well as some foreign affairs news. To begin, RNN has a major update regarding the ongoing conflict in China. On the morning of February 4, the Chinese autonomous region of Tibet declared its independence from the People's Republic of China. Citizens of the territory have taken up arms against the Chinese military presence in the region. It is suspected that these weapons may have been supplied by foreign countries. As of now, it is unknown what country the weapons came from. Rokkenjima remains the only country to officially be in armed conflict with China, although what can be certain is that the conflict has caught the attention of other nations. The Witch Council made a statement earlier today to deny supplying Tibet with weapons, but expressed Rokkenjima's support for Tibet and promise to send reinforcements to the territory upon request from Tibetan rebels. Our last topic for today has to do with foreign affairs. With sovereignty over Japan, Taiwan, Sakhalin, and the Kuril Islands still disputed, the Witch Council has invited members of Calondia's new government to attend a conference on the island of Rokkenjima to discuss the matter. The Witch Council has also informed RNN that The Holy Britannian Empire has been invited as well, but for what reason remains confidential. The date of the conference is still unknown, with the invitations to the aforementioned parties set for "their earliest convenience." That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne! Edited October 29, 2020 by Eva-Beatrice Quote When the seagulls cried, none were left alive.
