Hello everyone, my name is Nagisa Shiota and welcome, to a new Issue of The Gothenburg Post!

 

 

Referendums Passed!

With the conclusion of the civil war, the referendums taking place that

would dictate the future of Finland and the Baltic States have continue to

see weather or not they will join the Federation or not. In Estonia, the referend9m

had pass with a stunning 82.45% wishing to join Scandinavia. This is despite the

fact that Estonia had never been part of Scandinavia or the Swedish realm. In

fact, they have been part of different nations such as Rokkenjima and Umbrella

Corporation. In Ingria however, the referendum passed with only 59.52%

voting to join. As Scandinavian militias march into Saint Petersburg and surrounding

towns, caution has been given to military personnel as civilians in the area may

be hostile towards them. With Scandinavian settlers emigrating into the area

however, many people believe the fire will eventually extinguish itself.

 

The Lines Have Been Drawn

With the recent declaration of a Federal Monarchy in Scandinavia, plans

have been made to divide the Federation into states, where an elected native

would serve as Governor and will deal with the internal affairs of the state. After

several days, the division is set to look like the image below, divided into 8 states

and 3 Special Administrative Divisions that will be under control of King Ciel Wolf.

Yellow: Iceland, Capital: Reykjavik

Red: Norway, Capital: Oslo

Blue: Sweden, Capital: Stockholm

Orange: Denmark, Capital: Copenhagen

Green: Finland, Capital: Helsinki

Purple: The Baltic State, Capital: Riga

Brown: Russia, Capital: Saint Petersburg

Light Blue: Murmansk & Karelia, Capital: Murmansk

Special Administrative Regions

Region 1: Gothenburg Metropolitan Area

Region 2: Wolfsburg Metropolitan Area (Real Life Stavenger, Norway)

Region 3: Sineva Metropolitan Area (Real Life Aland Islands, Finland)

 

However, these lines are still being put in consideration, with slight changes

having a possibility of occurring. Once the changes have been finalized, Governors

will be elected by the king and the Federation of Scandinavia will truly become

a Federal Monarchy.

 

Diplomacy at it's Finest

With the restoration of the monarchy, Scandinavia will be looking forward

to reaffirming current treaties as well as forging new ones with other nations.

To reaffirm Scandinavian participation in the Tripartite European Association,

or TEA, a summit will be held in Gothenburg, where ambassadors, diplomats

and leaders of Scandinavia, Germany and Hungadada will meet to discuss

current and future plans, as well as to establish our standing among the world.

 

Two diplomatic missions have departed Scandinavia en route to the nations of

Germany and Wintery, which will be the first two nations that Scandinavia will be

interacting on the bilateral level, with plans for diplomats to be sent to Hungadada,

the Holy Britannian Empire, the Nova Empire as well as the Meta Board. The

Scandinavian Diplomat to Germany, Austrian born Roderich Edelstein, will be

in Berlin to confirm German financial assistance as well as the establishment

of new treaties regarding defense and trade.

 

Wintery however, with it's neutral stance toward Scandinavia,

has never had much interaction with us. However, the king has

deemed it necessary to establish new relations with Wintery in

order to secure Arctic trade routes and stability in the recently

incorporated colonies of Singapore and Macau. Scandinavian

diplomat, Feliciano Vargas, has recently departed from Gothenburg

to the Royal Palace in Omni, where negotiations regarding 

diplomacy, security and financial affairs will begin.

In the meantime, the TGP team would like to wish First

Prince Kenji and Second Prince Kou of Wintery a

happy belated birthday! May they both live long and

enjoy wonderful and blessed lives!

Statement from Wintery's FA

The emperor would like to express his desire to establish further ties in Europe and a desire to further ties with Scandanavia. Hopefully talks will go well and we hope to at least get a trade agreement going. On a side note, Princess Lucia would like to thank you for your wishes.
