Ikhan Posted June 2, 2017 Share Posted June 2, 2017 (edited) Rise of Dread A shuttle approached the planet Dromund Kaas, which had been abandoned for many years since it was destroyed by Darth Saarai. As such, it was the perfect place to hide a new training facility. Inside, a group of six Sith Lords were being trained for a war that was coming. They were some of the strongest of their generation, but no where near as strong as Saarai. And there, they train, until the day they are ready. That day, is today. The shuttle, which carried Darth Saarai, known to the public as Emperor Taral, landed at a platform attached to the cliff face. Upon landing, a ramp was lowered, allowing Saarai to leave the ship. He entered the facility, where he was met by two shadow guards. Upon checking his identity, they let him in and escorted him throughout the facility. After some time, they reached a large chamber where the dread masters were being trained. He walked towards the group. "I have one final test for you... the ability to destroy an army with fear alone." Saarai said. "Bring in the prisoners, all of them." he ordered the shadow guards, who complied. After some time, they brought in 12 prisoners that had been imprisoned for some time. "You may begin." he finished. The masters lined up. "That feeling deep inside you... that's fear. I can remove it... or I can amplify it beyond imagination. Shall we try?" One of them said. "Populations will be infected and planets overgrown. Mothers will kill daughters as soldiers weep in terror. All you love and prize... will fall." another one said as he reached out with his hand. The others did the same. "Birth. Pain. Fear. Death. All things erode to ash." the masters said at once, driving the prisoners insane. After some time, Saarai spoke. "Well done. With this success, you live your old lives no longer." Saarai said. "From our wound bleeds our memories, our names, our ambitions. We tasted oblivion and it drowns us. Like you, we are changing." they said in unison. And so, the Dread Masters were ready.
