AiOS
Athretvari Claims New Southeast Asia Territories in the Midst of Escalation in Regional Tensions Athretvar Minister of State Samu Jaksa again met journalists in Maria today to issue a strongly worded condemnation of the continued acts of imperialism in the areas immediately surrounding Athretvari, saying, “The recent claims by the Swedish government, while understandable to a degree for their own economic self-interests, pose a significant threat to the future ability of Athretvari to exercise its fair right to access to the Indian and Pacific Oceans insofar as these claims are significant in their strategic positioning, and can only be seen as the start of further imperialist colonization of areas immediately around our nation, suffocating its future ambitions in its own neighborhood.†“Athretvari is disturbed but understanding of the extensive claim by Sweden in violation of the Common Understanding of Expansion by RP Nations which stipulates that to insure a relatively peaceful policy of expansion, any expansion should be limited to two territories.†“We therefore exercise a reciprocal right to claim the following territories to be styled the Natural Territories of Athretvari to better defend the future interests of the Athretvar nation and people.†“The Government of Athretvari has ordered—†1. All foreign vessels needing to traverse through Athretvar Waters near the Natural Territories of Athretvari shall be permitted to do so peacefully without harrassment. 2. Athretvari will impose equal and reciprocal regulations, restrictions, fees, fines, or other impediments erected by any foreign government to the free exercise of navigation and commerce through any waters that lead into and out of the Southeast Asia Sea, also commonly called the South China Sea, wherein lies the main islands of Athretvari. “Athretvari seeks to have peaceful relations with all the nations of Orbis, and in particular with its immediate neighbors, to that end our government requests the establishment of formal diplomatic relations with Sweden, the appointment and exchange of ambassadors, and establishment of embassies. We also desire direct negotiations with the Swedish government concerning future cooperation in the area around the Southeast Asia Sea.†
