People who don't take themselves seriously wouldn't list all the unserious things they've done.
There’s a time and a place for everything.

Mans trying way too hard to be taken seriously while getting help to roll Fark lol.
Cmon, we all know half of them would've never woken up anyway and went back to bed after a quick shot.
You’re trying to accuse someone who got a bloc to rename themselves to The Johnsons while sporting a Joe Exotic avatar who is best known for creating an alliance called Soup Kitchen and doing a radio show intro theme in a falsetto voice, as someone trying to be taken seriously?

Woah woah woah Kev.
When someone is on vacation mode, it means they are on vacation not planning wars, doing FA, and posting all over the forums. We all have a war to fight, you have a nice summer vacation to attend (and/or a war to dodge).
Passe de bonnes vacances!Since you seemed to have only skimmed the thread, there ya go buddy.

I'm honored that TFP is scare enough of us mostly-retired barely-awake Farkers that they had to hire mercenaries. It makes me feel so good I might not have to take my evening Metamucil.
Loving the “had to hire mercenaries” line, as I’m sure it’s the crutch your bloc is attempting to establish in case things don’t go your way in this war.
Not that it matters, but we didn’t hire any mercenaries. Have you seen Johnsons tiering? Not a lot of expendable money to hire people - that money would be better spent to build up solid tiering and future war rebuilds (tbf, this is likely not something your bloc is familiar with - so I can sympathize with any confusion you may have)

Interesting thought, especially from someone sat on vacation mode for the next 115 turns. Not a fan of fighting or only when other people do it?
I had my nation in VM for weeks prior to this being planned out for an extended period of time - unfortunately the game mechanics only allows you to change your VM to 2 weeks if you’re trying to exit early.
Probably the wrong person to pick this argument on as I have likely fought more turns of war than your entire sphere combined.

just out of curiosity how much did Fear cost?
Absolutely nothing. Clearly they saw the almighty power of The Johnson and are trying to gain favor.
This might be a shocker, but it turns out some people in Orbis actually like to do things.

Johnsons continue to rise. The Johnsons War (Part 1) has begun.

This just goes to show that TKR’s ambitions haven’t changed and they still have hegemonic goals. This treaty signals end times are nigh.

Fashionably late UPN recently had it’s 15-birthday party, which makes it as old as iPhones, hashtags and my two daughters.
15 years of wars, words, Barney the dinosaur, Kevin the squid, ribenaberries and a helluva lot of Purple Loving. Hopefully along the way we’ve had enough misdemeanors, crises and maybe even some fluffy, good times to entertain both ourselves, our enemies and frenemies and have contributed to making online text-based political simulators a more interesting and definitely more Purple place.
What is Purple? Who knows. A warm, fuzzy feeling inside brought upon by drinking too much wine? A collection of internet warriors with ultra violet tendencies? A family of the weird and bizarre who are Purple, because…Purple? Either way Purple is what Purple does and I’ve dedicated my 15 years of tapping away at online political simulators to try and achieve Apex Purple, whatever that might be.
By dedicated I mean taking the credit year after year in which far more talented people than myself have actually run UPN, whilst I’ve sat back and enjoyed varying states of inactivity. At this point, and over three different games, naming every single person who has made UPN what it is would be madness, so thank you to everyone that has and here is a roll of honour to everyone who has officially headlined UPN over the years.
Planet Bob:
2007-2010 Altheus (i.e. actually Keyring_Killer, Shade, Hansarius, Magister and others)
2010-2011 Peggy_Sue (the Period of Tumult, bless her wherever she may me)
2011-2013 The Triumvirate: Robster, Tecumseh & Altheus
2013-2016 Seuwp
Lunar Wars:
Cora & Altheus
Planet Orbis:
2014-2015 Hansarius
2015-2016 Emmad
2016-2017 Pangui
2017-2021 Matt2004
2021-2022 Hansarius
2022 onwards Cora
Here’s to fifteen years more at which point we’ll probably all be living in VRAltheus,
Founder of the United Purple Nations
Also, help yourself to some cake!
As one of the original Trimv of UPN, the creator of the Periwinkle Papers and the one who poached Robster over to be one of the trimv - I declare this post fake news.

Not saying your points aren’t correct, because most of them are. However, I’m not seeing where JKell said that things were magical/different/much better a few years ago. I’m only see him give his take on what could lead to a more interesting/fun political atmosphere. (Granted, I’m an old man now. As I’m sure you understand, us old men tend to miss something from time to time due to our poor eyesight)
Also, NPO did technically create bloc politics with the creation of World Unity Treaty (The Initiative) in another world. You can thank Dilber for that one.

It amazes me people still make this argument after years of, these same people, talking about how crap Fark and WTF are.
Nothing's changed with them, and you know that. Quit playing this up for something this isn't. You were bored and wanted some seals to club while patting yourself on the back about how good you are because of it.
You want accolades, do something actually surprising and impressive for once, this bit has really gotten old.
I think it’s a fair play. They are an alliance and are open to being hit just like any other alliance. On paper it was an even match. Just because they’re terrible at the game and refuse to adjust doesn’t mean that they should be exempt from getting hit.

I'm not offshoring with anyone rn. 100/100 taxes bb. Something that does bother me a bit tho - borg has done a lot for the PnW community and it's bizarre that people are just running with this without looking at the logic. IE: There was nothing to frame NPO with lol

There wasn't even a situation to "frame" NPO to begin with...soo...idk why this thread or conversation is even a thing.
The situation borg is talking about is an exploit that he helped Alex fix....so...to me it sounds like someone took the bait on this and ran with it.

You're saying that they countered your counters so you then countered those counters and then they countered your counter points with a counter hook that can only be counted as unfair.....right?
The amount of injustices can hardly be counted.

Net damage stats don’t mean much if you look at the type of attacks HM are using. By leaning on naval/missle attacks, you are going to have a higher damage output at first but will end up faltering later on if you look at the % of the military you maintain. For example: If you look at the amount of dogfights: TFP (which have a lot of opportunities) alone have more attacks than your entire bloc. As the war meta currently sits, Johnsons are far outperforming HM. In short, unless you make a major change - you have already lost.
(Side note: I do want to say that I am happy to see Polaris is out of hibernation and providing activity to the warfront/forums! Happy to have you back Polaris!)
