  1. People who spend a significant amount of time alone in the privacy of their homes communicating through an online browser based game where they don’t actually have RL contact are gonna say some things that someone or everyone find(s) offensive. In RL when we come across people like this we go elsewhere and associate with different people. Or we realize they are trying to get attention and we don’t give it to them. Or that they are being facetious. If there’s an actual issue just address it with the person. Even Kastor apologized when he crossed the line to inappropriate in the past.

Get to planning a war. Do something interesting in game. This does nothing productive and it’s boring.

  2. Hi Shifty. I don't know you but I think you should keep playing as long as you're getting positive things from the game. Just don't make other people have a negative experience. It's hard to get over some interactions or relationships but we all do it and move on. I know you all will make fun of me but just make peace with people and use your energy on more important things.

  3. Underlord linked me to this. I was super surprised that I was mentioned after disappearing two years earlier. You guys deserved an explanation as to why I just kind of disappeared. It was partly because I was at a low point in the game, but primarily because I no longer had the need that Politics and War fulfilled as I had gotten a real job.

I've realized that I can't not have a job/purpose in life. If I don't have one, I find or make one. Politics and War was my job surrogate while I was in college. FFS I even made a bank in game just so I could work with spreadsheets. I'm now an analyst IRL which is far more lucrative than in-game analytics.

Conroy, Jodo, Fistofdoom, Goomy, Arkiri, etc. you guys were all awesome. You were what made PnW fun for me while I needed it.

And even my erstwhile adversaries in Mensa did that too. I love all you guys. And if you're ever in Philadelphia, get underlord, Tim, Pubstomper, or Saeton (if any of the last three are still around) to put you in touch with me. I'll get you shitfaced.

    Also, obligatory:

    1: Adama is sexy af.

2: Sheepy still has not given me shirtless pics.

    3: Disregard females, acquire currency.

4: Mensa sucks, Dio sucks, Pfeiffer sucks.

    5: PEW PEW! THUGNIFICENT!

    Hugs,

    Ashland

    Love you bby <3

  4. I guess someone is just going to have to jump on him when he doesn't expect it. He probably won't be too busy IRL to care about the game then.

Not sure what fun it is to play a game where you make excuses and hug pixels rather than enjoying war mechanics and actually using a variable strategy.

The early posts are best because he thinks someone might actually buy it. Even he knows the later ones are pure shit.

  5. Heh, I was gonna say, I didn't know about this supposed t$-Sparta merger unless it was a Partisan snek-rit back in the day. Thanks old Sparta guys for clearing that up. I was going through my memory banks wondering if I'd forgotten that. Tim, where'd you hear that juicy bit of gossip from? :P

    I guess I'm mistaken. Wah-wah.

Onto the business of war with this new system.

  6. Interesting that Sparta was talking to t$ about merging and then actually merged with TEst and t$ uses that merger as evidence that TEst is protecting whales.

Maybe Sparta's leadership just had the foresight to see that joining t$ meant a game that was intolerably one-sided and wanted to keep it more open by merging with paperless TEst instead.

But losing the Sparta merge is no reason to say "no retaliation" for Pantheon and then hit TEst a little while later for Pantheon. Unless you are the world police like t$, apparently.
