Because that's one of the first things they think to buy, most new players don't understand the mechanics of Farms, or how they could just produce goods export them and import more food then they can produce, or how consolidating resources in each town instead of spreading them out gives bonus production. they just think i need to make food. farms = food. done. 90% of the new players (especially the ones without alliances) have farms right now not realizing they produce nothing because they have no idea about radiation.

Well that's more of a tutorial/education issue and a lack of understanding should not be rewarded. Perhaps a quick addition to the in game tutorial could fix this?

I kinda like thrax's idea that way instead of just giving them like 10k food (which they might just sell off) they have time to join an alliance and (forgive me...) git gud.

  2. The most interesting impact of this one is how it would affect the strategy of intentionally losing wars by letting your opponents beige you on the ground and with navy. You wouldn't be able to just dominate air while your opponents have to beige you because winning battles in the air would counter act the ground and naval victories enough to keep you from getting that beige shield.

The upside is it severely limits the ability to hide on beige so it makes them easier to counter

The downside is the person one the receiving end of the airstrikes will end up staying at war longer if they win on the ground/at sea, so they may just end up getting sat in for the full war length.

Why do you feel it'd discourage offensive action? I feel it'd more strategy than casual gameplay.

Because it would kill the ability to bring down someone even slightly bigger than you. Being able to hit together gives smaller nations a chance to beat people with a sizable city advantage. So you'd be relegating the entire game to fighting people their own size or smaller. All this suggestion would do is make the whale tier invincible.

The nice part about this game is it's a game.  I don't have to bite my tongue like IRL.  I get to piss off every mouth breathing dumbass that can't spell a word longer than salt, every nazi or nazi collaborator, whoever I want to piss off. Then they come for my pixels and I get to nuke them.  If I've annoyed you and made you not like me, just know I meant it. Especially if you're the moran that borked 3 of my war slots.

I don't think anyone is complaining about the Nazi hunt... But hey, if pissing people off is part of the game for you, don't go throwing a fit next time someone rolls you guys for it. Because guess what, rolling people who make an enemy of you is part of the game too.

The people in my alliance/myself lost the political pre-battle, obviously.  This topic is about in-war game mechanics.

I have a counter suggestion, tell your alliance members and allies to stop trying to make new enemies every time they post. This was is as much about certain people being obnoxious on a regular basis as it is anything else. If there weren't certain people in your Bloc posting shit constantly and trying to act like tough guys do you think it would have been so easy to find so many people to roll you so quickly?
