Hey guys! Thought I'd register and answer a few questions.
Coldfront is getting DDoS'd because a highly active community that's new to the network attracted a botnet. Their twitch stream got ddos'd as well.
It's an extremely common practice for hosting providers to null-route IPs that are under DDoS attack. This isn't unusual at all, and is actually usually one of the first real steps taken towards DDoS mitigation.
As an oper on both Coldfront and Griefplay, I'd rather see y'all use irc.griefplay.net instead of Rizon.
