  1. I didn't even say that, I said that the stereotype of the redneck is rural not industrial workers, but it's a stereotype not a reality. Working class is anyone who works on property they don't own and sells their labor for a wage.

"Stalinoid" is nothing but sectarian BS, considering that Stalin built the most powerful socialist state in the world and the most well-organized working class of all time, he's a million times more a socialist than any of his opponents, including Trotsky who spent his time in the Imperialist States of America pumping anti-State propaganda into the USSR and sending terrorists to sabotage it's Siberian mines, even as the Nazi hordes were preparing to invade.

Are you saying that most of the American working class are ghetto-dwellers or rednecks? That's pretty offensive, especially when the "redneck" stereotype is non-urban rural people not working class.

Also Commissar Jamal, lol, nice subtle racism. Anti-white racism and anti-black racism in one go.

    1. I live in a rural area. I'm working class. You don't know what you're talking about mkay?....

    2. Stalin wasn't even a communist. He was a psychopathic, racist, discriminating, egotistical tyrant on par with Hitler. His policies are what forever screwed the USSR from actually following a communist path. If anything, he was just a brutal dictator that killed millions of his own people in a paranoid rage while enforcing racist and discriminatory policies that were anything but communist. Overall, he is quite possibly the least communist communist leader ever.

A+ for stupid posts in this thread tho.

  2. If they are puppets then they'll be closing up their borders anyway then. Nice.

Trump has never personally gone bankrupt.

But he actually has according to paper. And we're to believe that such a schemer is going to change the system that put him in power? Many politicians have made this claim. Not one has done so. At least Jackson tried to change the course of the world before suddenly going all genocide.

Of course a militia would stand no chance against a conventional standing army with advanced weapons, the purpose of a militia is asymmetrical guerilla actions and gaining popular support. The main strength it would have is that the US government would be reluctant to actually shoot civilians in their own territory, that "humanitarianism" is their weakness and can be exploited. Also most of the militia groups in the US are rural phenomenon out in the middle of nowhere, how do you think the US government would go with a militia that had solid working class support in densely-populated urban cities? The one time the US government used violence to attack a civilian group (I'm talking about recent history, and not such small incidents) was Waco and that turned into a fiasco and stained the reputation of the govt for years. The US Armed Forces would always never intervene directly in such matters as they would refuse orders to attack civilians even if ordered by the President, so a militia would probably not have to contend with tanks, artillery or combat aircraft.

No, the US government would not be reluctant to shoot their own citizens. Tell that to every political rebellion that the feds have put down (because there have been a lot). IDK what history you've been reading but our own soldiers have killed unarmed college protesters in recent history. The feds have shot down nationalists in Texas and countless others who've stood up to the federal government. So much for your delusion that our soldiers would never kill Americans even if ordered by the president. Recent history says they need only be ordered by the towns mayor.

Mass organization in urban areas? You mean like occupy wallstreet? Yeah, that did nothing. Not to mention that urban areas have tight gun restrictions with heavily militarized police. So an actual armed standoff would just be a quick shoot out with a few dead bodies to show for it at best. That's it.

Well I'm not saying that it wouldn't be difficult, challenging or fraught with danger, merely that I'm not going to state or agree with that it's simply impossible for it to happen, even though the odds are against it. However unlikely, it's still possible.

Do you have any idea how many times this has actually been attempted in US history? The civil war might have been the most notable, but it certainly wasn't the only time people organized a militia against the government. Nor is it the only time they've been crushed with overwhelming force.

  3. I don't need fixing, it's you who are wrong in denying every possibility of a Socialist militia succeeding.

A socialist militia succeeding at anything in the worlds most capitalist nation which bears the worlds strongest army? Yeahno....

The strength of a determined person is easily crushed under a tiny bullet. Just ask LaVoy or the countless other political militia men that have been gunned down over the last 200 years or so. I think you underestimate the resources and expertise of the US government. They've put down tons of groups with this same idea over the course of centuries. Determination only goes as far as you're physically capable. A 20lbs bomb can make that determination turn into a pile of scorched flesh quite quickly. Not to mention that we're talking about a nation where most people are too ignorant to vote let alone fight a war against a God like military.

  4. Good riddance! Get outta here! All we want is to destroy the middle east and our freedoms! If you don't like that, please move to a third world country where we can bomb you over a nice cheeseburger while watching Donald Trump flaunt his ego on CNN!

    http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/canada-ready-to-receive-250000-american-refugees-in-case-trump-is-elected-president/

    FTFY.

Also, this is something I legit considered. But at the end of the day, the Canada is just an American puppet like half the planet so it matters little where one moves. Might as well stay here and just accept that my president is a complete retard. At worst, we invade Mexico or go bankrupt like Trump.

  5. okay, so basically...

the nazis frequently used the same sort of symbolism from this time period in their propaganda

they created the rune on the flag themselves and gave it a whole different, nationalist meaning (heritage)

we are aware that this rune in particular has been reappropriated in these games as a stand-in for the swastika by white supremacists

we are aware that these people play this game and have re-used nazi propaganda in recent years, which was subsequently banned thanks to the efforts of decent people who play this game

...and you're STILL arguing that there's no connection whatsoever. like i said, fox fire, you can have your head in the sand all you want, i will continue with my lack of support of people who would have you murdered irl if they ever took power, and there's no amount of reading mein kampf that's going to stop me.

done talking about it. if you're not convinced by now, i can't be bothered to convince you.

No, the Odal rune has ALWAYS symbolized meanings like heritage, higher social status and the like. The Nazis did not re-invent it's meaning by any means. It has always meant the same thing. Similar to the Wolfsangel, also heavily used by Nazis, which would be more of a nationalist symbol and has always maintained it's meaning.

I'm also aware that the Sun Cross is used by white supremacists, but to me and my heritage, it symbolizes the mother goddess or "God" and always will. It's a symbol that even my family uses and they certainly are not Nazis.

But off the topic of symbols.... Who here is a Nazi? I mean I have no doubt that the rank of NoR would contain Nazis, but I'm also sure that not all of them are Nazis. In fact, I'm inclined to believe most (nowadays) aren't. Though I'm also probably not as familiar with their members or other Nazis in these games as you may be.... So I'm just curious, who is a Nazi here?

I mean I'm actually more inclined to believe that RL Nazis playing this game are most often members of alliances that have nothing to do with Nazism. Hell, we had some devout Nazi in The Sith Empire for a while along with the other variations of the same group under numerous names that had nothing to do with Nazism. Which brings me to my next point, which is that RP is not RL. If someone was RPing as a Nazi, I wouldn't immediately think they were a RL Nazi. I mean, I've RP'd as a communist, an anarchist and a capitalist.

In any case, I think you're jumping the gun on this one.

  6. if you think half of those are runes, you don't know runes.

i see celtic crosses, several odals, and a few swastikas (which are not runes).

you want things to be one way, but they're another way. i don't know what else to tell you. you're just wrong.

I picked out at least 10 runes and numerous other Nordic symbols. But like I said, that doesn't even scratch the surface of the Nazis use of runes and Nordic symbols. The swastika (Hakencreuz) is a variant of a sun cross or sun wheel often used by numerous pagan cultures from all over the globe, despite the common misconception that it was stolen from Hinduism. The origin of the Hakencruez is explained in Mein Kampf. Although not a rune, it can safely be described as being heavily inspired by Nordic symbolism.

The Nazis used runes all the time. Quite possibly all the runes there are. The seal of Ahnenerebe has the division name written entirely in runes. Even furniture in Nazi Germany was decorated with runes. Do you even understand how much inspiration the Nazis took from Nordic symbolism? It effectively makes up half or more of their all of their symbolism. Do you think Volks Wagons are Nazi too?

As for the Odal rune, it's true meaning is the "o" sound and a symbol of heritage and comes in several variations. It is still in use today by the modern German Army. Although the "winged" version displayed in the OPs flag was first created by the Nazis it is very commonly used by Neo-Pagans who worship Odin with no relation to Nazism.

  7. i don't equate runes to nazis. you're just naive.

No, I'm not. I just don't think everything with a rune is the product of Nazis. In fact, I'm not even sure what exactly made you assume there was anything Nazi about this. I saw your initial response where you pointed out that the Odal was used by an SS division, however, the SS used tons and tons of runes in their symbolism. I'd be surprised if there is a rune or Nordic symbol they didn't use.

For example, here is a list of the Waffen SS divisions along with the patches/markings they used to symbolize each division:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Waffen-SS_divisions

38 in all and I'd say about half of them are symbolized with runes. But that doesn't even scratch the surface of the Nazis use of runes. So it can't just be the rune that makes you think this is Nazi. Perhaps it's the colors? Unfortunately, red white and yellow have been the colors of Norway almost forever. In fact, making the flag look more traditionally Norwegian would actually make it look even more Nazi, with the cross and all. So what else? The white circle over a red backdrop? That's just a typical leftist symbol, used by not only Nazis, but also Bolsheviks and even Latin Americans from northern California:

    ru%7Dnbp3.gif

    Nortenos.jpg

^This flag is flown primarily by Mexicans in Northern California and has become synonymous with Nortenos. Considering I know a few, I think I can safely say there is nothing Nazi about them.

So where exactly is all the Nazism in this?

We've been getting along lately and I'd rather not spoil that, but I really do find it insulting the way you attack people for using runes. I have a great appreciation for the Vikings, their culture and history and I hate seeing their symbolism equated to Nazism. NoR is different. They actually use Nazi imagery and their alliance incorporates many German "Reich" themes, but I think you're going a bit overboard with this one.

  8. I did a bunch of math, and I think this would be the result of a war with North Korea: (yes I included treaties, alliances, etc. in my calculations; also note that this is an estimate and calculation, so if this really happened, which I hope never does, the results may vary a bit)

    North Korea:

    Defeat

    Military Deaths + Injuries: 278,543

    Civilian Deaths + Injuries: ??

    Nations Allied Against N. Korea:

    Victory

    Military Deaths + Injuries: 106,889

    Civilian Deaths + Injuries: 632,780

I would actually expect higher casualties than that. The war in Syria alone, without even including Iraq, already has a higher death toll. The North Koreans would not shy away from unconventional warfare. Just crossing the DMZ would be a bloodbath.

  9. Correction, in Christianity, pork is allowed, as the law was meant to sybolicaly cleanse and purify God's people of sin. But as Jesus saved us, He Purified and cleansed us of our sins.

    These verses will explain:

"... Do you not know that whatever goes into man from the outside can not defile him, because it does not go to the heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?" - Mark 7:18-19.

Actually, it should apply to Christians, as well as all of the old Jewish laws. Jesus himself said that he did not intend to change the rules of the old covenant, but complete them. Also, this idea that "sin doesn't apply to us because we are 'saved'" is a misinterpretation. Salvation does not make you incapable of sin.

  10. E-reps terrible implementation has zero bearing on this idea. Further the game's current war module amounts to playing D&D with wighted dice. It is flawed fundamentally & will kill the game like a slow cancer if not handled. I am not suggesting Sheepy implement this without testing or warning. Finally, the entire point of this concept is to make combat more strategy based & give defenders a chance to defend in the long term. At no point have I suggested luck should have anything to do with the idea.

Isn't what we have now "tested?"

A handful of forum loud mouths testing something for a couple weeks seems to produce negative results. As seen with the posting of this thread....

  11. On the contrary, I feel this will be better for smaller nations as now the production of resources will solely be done by Larger nations. They have free slots so they will produce and sell, prices will go down and it will become uneconomical for smaller nations to produce resources. The prices would become affordable for them to buy resources directly from market. Smaller nations will focus only on military and commerce and not on resource production. There will be a breakthrough with respect to infra/ land per city where resource production becomes profitable. This will be decided by the market.

So the smaller nations can focus on military to protect themselves from Arrgh while the larger nations like the forum loud mouths get even richer?

Sounds pretty counter productive to smaller nations while larger nations reap the benefit. Sounds like a ponzi scheme.

  12. I still think you're missig the point with the numbers you throw out, yes its posible to beat Arrgh, that was never the point, the point is that the tactic itself is unbalanced, not that Arrgh is invincible, all 15-16 city nations could drop down and use the same strategi that Arrgh uses. so comming up with more numbers proving this is kinda futile, isnt it?

So basically what you're saying is that we've found the most effective strategy, others haven't caught on, so Arrgh should be punished for playing better than everyone?

    This sounds reasonable....

  13. I want to proof Sheepy that game mechanics is not broken at all. I attacked S.O.S recently because he was chanting so much shit on this forum. At that time he had no military at all, consider it a good lesson for him since he does deserved it.

So today, I received a message from him, and to my surprise...

Please read this carefully and do take a note the word militarize. He actively took this action to prevent me from looting him and that follows with this message.

    My reaction:

    giphy.gif

What is this? A defender actually taking action to stop me? Well, Sheepy, you see 90% of these whiners on the forums either have no military or a very tiny military. They got attacked because they don't have a large standing military to protect them. Totally not our fault, it is their choice to go that path. S.O.S actually showed that his actions defies the whiners perspective of current game mechanics. Current game mechanics is working as intended and it is running healthy and fine. Your score change will not help because it will further encourage the rich nation to continue to expand their infra and stay well protected, making it even harder to achieve collaborative teamwork.

I hope you will reconsider this change because S.O.S shows that game mechanics is fine, as proven in-game message and his actions. You also wanted to have less in-game money so more people will purchase credits and I am doing you a great service by destroying $25 million a day. You should be thanking us for it.

The biggest proof that this isn't a problem is that literally anyone can do what Arrgh does. But because Arrgh has figured out the best strategy, it's somehow a problem just because nobody else has picked up on it. They would rather build pixels as fast as they can to compete with everyone else doing the same thing, than take an approach that would protect their members.

If that's anyone fault at all, it's theirs....

[iC: The !@#$ are you all embargoing me for? Do you think I actually trade with anyone at all?]

  14. So within the past month, I have been thinking. What if God is actually the evil one?

Before humanity, according to Christian mythology, Lucifer was the most intelligent, creative, reasoning, being God had ever created. Apparently, Lucifer went against God's judgement and tried to overthrow him. Being so unsuccessful, God cast Lucifer to rule hell for all eternity. What if there is something missing? God being made out to be the most forgiving, genuine being of all time, why did he not forgive Lucifer?

One could say Lucifer was trying to take heaven all to himself, but what if that wasn't the case? What if Lucifer was actually trying to stop God from an evil plan? This being said, you look at history. People causing wars in the name of God, people committing awful awful things in the name of God. Did God tell them to do that? Could be yes, could be no. I mean this is all speculation :P

Lucifer/Satan was made out to be the bad one, the one who causes all bad. Why does it say in many teachings that God controls everything? You look at prostitution, traitorism, theft. Disgusting things. Why is it that God lets this happen?

All of the mainstream religious books like the Bible and the Quaran. They say women need to adhere to men's needs, this is basically telling you that raping women is good. And you look at satanic bibles, they say that women need to be treated as man's equal. Why is this so confusing? Has God been leading us the wrong way? No I don't think so. If you see the devil as being bad, you should. Weither God is good or bad is for the individual reading this to decide.

One more thing, there are so many similarities between religions like Christianism or Islam. Islam is just an overly deepened and taken way more seriously than Christianism. They are both the same God, just in different situations.

I am not saying God is not to be believed in, I am saying that you need to make sure deep down in your heart your God is actually doing good. Or if God is actually satanic.

Please tell me what I am thinking is good or bad. I need criticizm.

    Thanks

    Bye

EDIT: Have you ever heard of the quote "Sell your soul to the devil"? What if you saw 100 innocent people about to be killed or tortured, you can pray to God asking him to let these poor people go and that prayer never happening. Is it safe to say if you sold your soul to the devil to let these poor people go, and it does happen. Are you still going to hell for trying to do that right thing? Again there is no proof of this. Just do what feels right in your heart.

You sir, have just formulated the opinion of a reversed Christian, but more specifically, the opinion of an old friend of mine.

    To sum up her beliefs:

Satan is a God of knowledge. He grants humanity with knowledge and personal intellect, in defiance of a God who opposes human knowledge and personal intellect.

The best example of this is in Genesis when Eve meets the serpent. The Serpent grants her knowledge and in return, God punishes her. Going further back, if you buy into the story of Lilith, this further suggests the idea that God created people to be mindless and unintelligent. Suggesting that Lilith was a mistake and Eve was created from Adams rib solely so that she could not defy him.

There are countless other examples of this "freedom fighter vs crazy dictator" type status throughout the bible. Another example is the amount of people killed by God in comparison to those killed by Satan and the reasons for which all of these people were killed. Satan seems to be far more subtle, far less direct, and extremely non-vengeful. Allowing people to make decisions rather than lashing out.

Overall, I'm quite intrigued by the reversed Christian opinion that Satan is a liberator against an oppressive God. Using the same religious texts as its references, it tells a completely opposite story, that arguably makes even more sense.

  15. How many times have you sent me a big long PM about how you can't bear to play the game anymore, and that you're quitting and I'm a horrible admin, the game sucks, whatever?

    And yet, here you are...

And yet I'm not exactly playing. Waiting for you to make something stick.

EDIT: And like twice I think.

wow i have never seen someone complain about the game getting more difficult as hard as this

"waaaah the game is getting harder"

"waaaah you made war more complex"

    "waaaaah"

    shut up

That' not what I said at all. War policies are just some bonus you can apply to your nation and change whenever you want. They aren't complex, they're kinda stupid. My point is you don't have to add things for no reason.
