He maintained his ties with the Catholic Church during his lifetime only voicing his disdain for the Church in private as he was playing to the 1/3 population of Catholics in Germany and Austria. Only priests who were Jewish heritage and/or against his policies were punished, as Cathedrals and Monasteries were still open until the war arrived in Germany. His associations with the Church were formal and cordial. Only until after his demise did the Church in Germany attempt to separate itself from Hitler. He was always offered the Eucharist up until his death which made him a member.
But if Hitler would have won the war, what reason, in this alternative universe, would he have to maintain the power of the church? After all as you said- 1/3 of the population where chatolic, so he didn't have much of a choice if he wanted to keep his power and the approval of the masses.

Hitler was a Catholic who held to the belief that he was accomplishing Gods objective to kill off the Jewish Race which in his mind, killed Jesus.
As far as I know, he was only born as Catholic, and years on years later he wished to ban christianity from Germany (that's why he imprisoned so many priests and other religious people).
