It's impossible to power my cities

It got fixed suddenly overnight. -
I have been trying to power my two cities in every way possible, but it won't work. I tried answers on the internet but it's just not possible. Coal power plants can power 500 infrastructure, I have 1950 and 10 power plants. Not to mention that i am in a net positive and not in any way in a deficit of resources. I have way more coal than needed to upkeep my power plants. I also have the cash to maintain them and everything. Infact, my capital was the only one suffering from it. After building new infrastructure (which shouldn't in any way have affected the powering of my city), it suddenly became unpowered. I believe it is a simply glitch. Is annyone able to help?
