No offense Ashwyn, you cannot be defenseless if you declared on another alliance ( IR ). Had your Bloc not been tied to UPN, chances of you getting hit by Mensa (and possibly others) would've been nil ( As long as you stayed out of conflict ).
Another thing that might've avoided being hit was declaring on an alliance that had previously declared on UPN. I'm aware that your Bloc was doing it out of good faith to UPN due to the protection they gave, but when you jump in a war - it pretty much highlights that you're up for a war.
EDIT:
Personally I would've stayed out of conflict and built nothing but manufacturing improvements then benefit from the high prices on the market.
We have never declared on IR in fact half our members can't even attack IR they have been optional raids as they ahve attacked fellow members like SWF and EE

The recent activity bar is at the top which means the last notification he received is at 5:43 if the airstrike was at 6:09 pm then the airstrike should thus be the most recent activity

The airstrike was at 6:09pm, according to the log, or 27 minutes after the last notification you show.
But as shown by the bar that is the last notification received

With Mensa now launching attacks against UPN's protectorates does this mean they want to war UPN?

I would call that "beiging out of desperation," and would hardly consider it something worth bragging about.
OS is not at war with IR we have allowed optional raiding of them so if they get beiged then so be it.
