Strange, Arrgh agrees to white peace, then some of their members keep attacking. And despite claims that Arrgh and Political Pirates are seperate alliances we now have the latter attacking as well.

1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. I also have Alpha Centauri and I used to have Civ: CTP.
I still love them and pull them out to play every so often.

That all looks very impressive until you check and see that all your attacks against VE are against inactive members or member who don't have an army.
Then there is their 'expired' war against you where you did about 70 infra damage and sufferend almost 900 in return. I would hardly call that a loss for VE.

Easier rebuilding would make a big difference.
Keep track ingame of each nations max infra level (the highest they have had for each city) and when rebuilding they can re-buy up to that level at a reduced cost, say 30-40% of the norm. The justification could be that they are repairing damaged but existing infrastruction instead of building it from scratch.
You might also consider 'Warmonger' monthly rewards for infra destroyed, soldeir kills, tank kills, etc. Have a scoring system relavtive the the nations score so that all can compete. There could also be alliance equivelents of these based on all allaince members contributions and relative to the alliance score, but make the alliance reward a treasure that can't be stolen and moves each month to the new winner of that category.

Ofcourse if the player base expanded and you ended up with a larger Orbis population that the real world you might need to come up with a reason why proper nations don't form.

Hate to see people rage quitting, especially if they are supporters who help keep the game alive.
BUT, with so many cities, so much infra, a next to nothing alliance, and so little defence...you were asking to get raided.

You won't get agreement on this since most alliances don't want to be told how they should handle applicants. They will insist on being able to decide for themselves. If you want a rule of thumb then if a member is listed on the alliance members list, which includes applicants, don't attack unless you are willing to accept the chances of alliance retaliation.

Time is a property of the universe, it is unclear if there was a 'before the big bang'. This is also a fallacy of composition, just because something is true for things within the universe does not mean that they also apply to the universe as a whole. Also, it isn't entirely clear that the rule applies to everything within the universe either, virtual particles appear to be uncaused, though the jury is still out.
4) Due to the absurdity of the infinite regress of causes, that cause has to be an uncaused cause (ie something that always existed).
Argument from incredulity, just because you think it is absurd does not mean it can't be true.
5) That uncaused cause must be an intelligent, all powerful, free agent in order to be able to bring our universe into existence.
Says who, you? Why should we believe you? This is a non sequitur, it does not follow from anything you have said.

No, where did you get that from? Just because something is not a random collection of matter does not mean it has a soul, or do you think cars and toasters, being non random collections of matter, have souls?

This contradicts my statement that their actions were driven by personal or political ideologies how? According to this, making a success of Communism, a political ideology, was the driving force, and enforcing atheism was one of the tools used.

Atheism has no aspects or beliefs, it is simply the lack of a belief in a god(s), nothing more. In addition to their atheism, atheists hold various positions on other subjects but these are based not on atheist but on science, philosophy, etc.
Atheism has several aspects which are lumped together. In order of least to potentially most harmful:
1. The belief that nothing brought the universe into existence. This is generally an inward and reflective aspect of Atheism. In other words it's about living your own life in a certain way and doesn't effect anyone else MOST of the time. Unless there's a war and you're a conscientious objector or something.
The question of the origin of the universe is usually based on science, however this statement isn't accurate. It should rather read that the universe does not require a cause.2. Atheist dogma. This can be harmful if you try to externalise these/impose on others. For example Atheists complete disregard for human life as being nothing more than a random formation of matter and death as a mere rearrangement of matter (which in that case shouldn't matter
) or the fact that pretty much all of Atheism is non-compatible with most of the Shariah Law.Their is no such thing as atheist dogma. I also do not know any atheist that believe humans are just a random collection of matter.
3. New Atheism. This is a radical, proselytising, political and fast growing ideology within Atheism that supports believers (which is what they are ironically).
When you look at (3), it is blatantly obvious that this is the greater evil, especially when it supports (2). Saying Atheism is bad because of the atheist regimes of Stalin who killed millions of his own people and Mao Zedong who starved millions to death (to name but two), would be perfectly correct.
Never heard of 'New Atheism' but as has been mentioned, Stalin and Mao did not commit their crimes because of their atheism, but rather because of their personal or political ideologies. Just because someone holds or lacks a given belief does not mean that this automatically fuels their actions. The fact that most criminals in the US are Christian does not mean that Christianity was the driving force behind their crimes.

At least you admitt that your members went into vacation mode so they would not get hit. Well we wait for them to get out of vacation mode. As far as us reengaugeing NAC, you should of never joined in if you did not want to get the crap kicked out of you. You are an Alliance of thugs and cowards. You will get what you deserve. I am sure that VE will rebuild you. After you fought for them.
They were already fighting, hell some already had nothing left but we knew you guys would most likely pick on the easier target and swamp us, so some hit vacation mode to keep the fighting to an almost manageable level and survive to round 2. We have lost dropped almost 40% of our score, that is hardly avoiding the fight and hiding as you keep suggesting.
HIt us some more, we have almost nothing left so you won't be risking your pixels much. Keep coming up any reason you want to justify it but to us pixels mean nothing.
