Well, if it's a serious reply ya want, then...

Who's embarrassed? Can't speak for everyone, but I don't think anyone in IQ is particularly embarrassed by this lol. They've never been a top-tier powerhouse, so a bunch of competent top-tier nations coordinating well will obviously be able to do some damage, as we've seen. I'm having a fun little war shooting nukes and shitposting on the forums personally, not much to be embarrassed about. A war is a war.

At the end of the day, people who didn't take IQ seriously before will use this to validate their beliefs and still won't take IQ seriously, people who took IQ seriously before probably still take them seriously. Anyone who doesn't take IQ seriously is free to attack them whenever they like, particularly if it'll be a cakewalk as you seem to believe Terminal Jest has shown. Nobody has though, so I guess that means some people still take IQ seriously, eh?

On an unrelated note, imagine for a moment that the pinnacle of your entire PnW career is posting lovely pictures of salt after someone's joke post, then running off to Papa Partisan to brag about how clever and funny you are so he'll give you a nice pat on the head. A sad existence indeed, do you need a hug Robert?

Hey TheNG. You know I wouldn't throw shade at you, but the reaction so far from all of my opponents (both in aggressive wars and defensive wars) has been disappointing.  Two completely rolled over and didn't participate even though they had vastly more planes than I did.  Out of 9 wars so far, there's only one that I'm seriously at risk of losing (mad props to Titan) and one other war where they are actively dismantling my ability to make war (it's still to be seen whether or not they will "win"). Don't get me wrong, it's not always easy to find qualified people to counter, but the fact that after 4 days I still have a serviceable military is kinda sad....I could understand if everyone was about even in terms of numbers of planes, ships, troops, and what not, but realistically, I've been basically zero'd out on planes for days now.  Oh well....perhaps it's just experience playing here and I'm used to being quickly ZM'd.

Obviously people should take IQ seriously but the ability to coordinate an effective resistance to what's been happening is disheartening.

  2. What is this cheese? Benefiting the 99%? I say your infra reduction formula doesn't go far enough! The millionaires and billionaires of Orbis need more help than the poor of Orbis!

On a more serious note: Cool beans.  Good to know that infra will be a little easier to bring back up once it's burned to the ground.

  3. Is there a list of individuals you pissed off in the past few months to get targeted like that?

I have several people in mind, all of which I would think should be water under the bridge by now. But ya never know. I would have hoped people would approach me like a rational person and go from there. Like I said. Just biding my time right now.

  4. We're more than aware that this would leave BK and the people who charged into the fray with us high and dry. I've already explained that we did this because aren't able to reconcile fighting in a conflict we just don't believe in. And that isn't a recent development either.

I don't remember asking for anybody's help, Bambino. And to say the least, the light that shines betrays what is actually being shown. As much as that sounds like philosophical bullshit, I'm not worries about how this act reflects. Because I'm pretty firm in my belief that we're on our own path doing what is best for us. As we have always done.

That's rich Victor.  I'm done with this thread.  Hit me up this evening if you've got some free time.  I'll be online at some point.

  5. It seems you misinterpreted my statement. This was not a surrender. Far from it. In fact, tTO was doing pretty damn good for being outnumbered on our upper tier. You will find no surrender from tTO.

Surrender, capitulation, peace before victory, all are terms used to make yourself feel better about abandoning people who went to war with you, specifically after you asked for their help.  Regardless of your motives, this shines badly on your leadership and on tTO as a whole.

  6. It's mutual with a non-chaining option with everyone except The Coalition, which is a straight mutual defense treaty.

EDIT: And TLF, who we protect, which is more of a one-way thing.

So, basically you oA'd into something you didn't need to oA into?  Why take the political backlash?  Though, I guess the only political backlash you really care about is what the people on your side have.

  7. Note that I said extenuating circumstances barred. :P Shifting over to Discord has upped our response time and we are more and more aiming for the result is agreed upon as soon as one gets a majority. My three days max estimate was how long it would take us to agree on war before Discord when we focused on forums and Slack (which required an allied request, it being agreed by several Senators in Slack, the poll being established in the forum to decide to go to war or not, and all Senators being messaged to get on the forums to vote). Now it is more or less "Bring it up to a vote in the vote thread, you have 24 hours or until a quorum to be reached. Just type in 'Aye' 'Nay' or 'Abstain'"

So in theory we could be at war the same day depending on how proactive we are and what time we bring it to a vote (and when our allies ask if we want to join in or not). It took us just 16 hours to vote on it and 19 to actually declare war.

I'm uncertain of what your exact M level of treaty is, but if it's a straight M level treaty, shouldn't it be an immediate declaration of war rather than !@#$ footing around and dithering while wringing your hands until the obvious winner has been asserted?  If it's an Mn level treaty, shouldn't you be completely staying out of this since your allies are the ones that began the war as an aggressive war?  If you're exercising it as an oA, what exactly does that say about you to declare on a series of alliances that are completely outgunned and that allies didn't need help with?  Wouldn't the smarter thing to have been to stay in peace mode and help get cash available to help your allies post war?  I dunno, I guess I"ve never really seen CS actually live up to what it professes.

Don't get me wrong.  The more the merrier, I just think it's a little silly to declare war when you can't actually do anything materially (in any meaningful way).

why would you even need to vote if you have a mutual defense pact. you already voted you would go to war when you voted to sign that treaty

This.  Plus what I said above.

  8. Mmm yes, well our foreign affairs minister obviously wasn't thinking like that at the time

Not to be snippy, but, unless explicitly stated, how are people supposed to know when he is speaking as FA vs a private shitposter?  Granted, I consider everything that comes from BoC to be a shit post since they can't really do anything else, but still.  Some clarity for your allies and your adversaries would be helpful here.

  9. Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment. Trying to help an ally is better than sitting on our butts as they fight.

But why? Is BoC even doing any real fighting (I don't count 3 wars really helping when you have an alliance of 20 people).  Let's call this for what it is.  BoC attempting to gain some "honor" while letting others do all the heavy lifting.

Let's get honest. To those saying this isn't a bandwagon is lying. To those saying we dont deserve this is also lying lol

    Bring the rain!

After this war is over TEst won't exist:

Pft.....if BoC still exists, TEst will definitely continue to exist.

I wouldn't get your hopes up on that one. TEst is a cockroach. A giant, incredibly murderous cockroach.

This is not a bandwagon. TEst did not deserve this.

    I am not a liar.

  10. The Grand Pilus was posting his own beliefs and hopes. However he must go along with the Senate vote on the affair which took place after this was posted and by a vote of 8-6-1 (aye-nay-abstain) Cornerstone decided to get involved. The GP can't just order us to war like other alliances and most things are voted on. And hence why after any war starts it takes us a maximum of three days to actually declare or get involved (extenuating circumstances barred)(two for voting limits and one for actual prep and talk with allies if it hasn't been done already).

This is good information to know.  We'll be sure to exploit this next time your allies get attacked.
